Haven't been in years so I was expecting the same outstanding experience. The prices were high the food quality was low. DO NOT ORDER the chicken tenders it is fake and processed chicken-worse than McDonalds. Spongy textire with no flavor. read more

The cheeseburger subs here are phenomenal. My go to every time. They do a lunch special which is a pretty good deal as well

I love Angelina's! I've been going here for about 5 years- I used to work very near here and we probably had lunch from here four days a week. It's a small counter-only neighborhood place, with the nicest people working there including the guys behind the counter- always a smile! They deliver locally and take online or phone orders, too. There's a solid menu- pizza (including by the slice!), hot & cold subs, calzones, salads, burritos and quesadillas, wings, pasta dinners, and the ubiquitous drinks from a cooler. I think what makes me remember I need to go there now, is the slices of pizza- so good! Big slices of thin NY-style crust, gooey cheese, nice balanced tomato sauce, and served on a couple of paper plates. On my deathbed, this is the pizza I'll be asking for! Because on my deathbed, I won't be having a salad, as good as they are here - cheese slices for me! This is not Papa Gino's pizza. And the subs are big, stuffed full and delicious. It all explains why the tiny parking lot is jammed with local workers beginning at 10am every day- who doesn't want a big BLT at 10am?? Or an egg sub or a quesadilla . . . well, you get me, so go and stand in line for the perfect lunch break! Go, enjoy the atmosphere and love the food! read more

I want to love it, but it's underwhelming. There is no paper menus to take him and the online menu doesn't has prices. We orders two items that came up to $37 . We got the steak bomb and the Angelina's special. The steak was quality was cheap and the ingredients in the pizza was thin. Definitely won't be back . The pizza didn't hold up. The cheese was very cheap in quality. It was a weird yellow color. Definitely will not be back. The price doesn't add up to the poor quality of the food read more

This place is a little gem for East Braintree and surround areas. The food is great and has gotten a lot better over time. There is no real local sub and pizza shop around that is as good. I like the Italian and steak/cheese subs and Cheeseburgers. The grilled chicken Caesar salads are the best and we order them regularly. The pizza is also high quality and my grandkids love it. The staff is busy and courteous, plus they are fast. What more could you want? read more

The steak and cheese is one of the best around. Wings are also very good. Have been going for a long time.

wrote them off after the ownership change, but was starving and needed something quick and was in the hood, so ordered a roast beef sub, LEGIT! Boars head and soft subroll... pleasently surprised. Ohh and the young lady taking he order was bubbly and personable, very nice experience. I'll be back! read more

Always mess up my sandwiches and hot subs , had to stop going. Went downhill fast so disappointed

Called in a small cheese pizza for pickup, an hour wait which I was fine with. I get to the store an hour later to pick up pizza, and I come out to the car to eat a little and it's not even like warm. The pizza was pretty much cold after waiting an hour to pick it up. read more

Not great. Got two pizzas today- one was undercooked, one overcooked. One was cut, one was not. I think wheh they switched the place around added that new counter it kinda slid. New ownership? Used to be good in a pinch on sundays but my last three experiences have been subpar at best. read more

Idk what happened but the food is nowhere near as good as it used to be. Most recently I've purchased a chicken bomb sub only to find I was given a chopped up breaded chicken patty that was As dry as a friggin paper towel. Absolutely DISGUSTING. Considering I paid nearly $20 for it, I expected A LOT more.I've Also tried their chicken Parm dinner.. AGAIN, worst thing EVER. Kind of expected more than one TEASPOON OF SAUCE. Used to love this place, now I won't waste my money. read more

My work was looking for a place to deliver sandwiches for the office, we had about 18 people. After getting an estimated delivery time of 2 hours we called Angelina's and ordered their jumbo subs which was 4 small subs in a bag. They were able to make and deliver the food within 40 minutes. The freshness of these sandwiches was unbelievable. The bread was soft and delicious and the ingredients that made up each different kind of sub were also high quality. They will definitely have my future business! read more

Long time customer I ordered a steak and cheese tonight for $17 there was some cheese but very dry. I'm not sure if it was cooked on the grill or in a microwave. There was no grizzle or burn marks. a few months back they had plenty of cheese. I know prices are climbing but make the food taste good. read more

I have been a customer since the day it opened. I have 000's of dollars there. It looks like it's under new ownership. I had a pizza last week that was horrible. Today I was told that my credit card didn't work... it had been on file since the service was available. I had to repeat the order 10 and still got 1 of 3 subs wrong... Sad but I done... good luck! Your service is poor at best and the food quality has gone way down. read more

This place needs a good North End chef. The original owners are gone and they were the original value as the food was great then. This place will be history in short order unless they understand that and do what has to be done. The ice cream is not going to carry it either, and saying that, it should be soft-serve. In the fast food business, reality is all you have. They could pay thousands to get the same honest advise. Free of charge. read more

Not impressed anymore. Whenever I order a meatball sub with melted provalone cheese, it never has any sauce on it and the cheese is not melted. It's also cold when I get it. Will find a new place! read more

It used to be really good. But I'm not impressed with them any more. Also, tipping is asked for when you order. I tip heavily when in a restaurant, but I dont tip for fast food. I know fast food workers are not making 3 bucks an hour like real waitstaff do as they depend on tips for their salary. Besides Fast food places do not seat me at a linen-covered table, nobody comes to take my order, or give me water, or deliver my meal on porcelain plates, or take my plates away, or for ask if they can get me anything else.... it's fast food and I don't tip for fast food. I dont tip the grocery store clerks for packing my food bags. I dont tip the gas pump guy for putting gas to my car. I dont tip the bank teller for helping me with my banking. Why tip fast food? read more

This is probably one of the worst pizzas I've ever had.... We ordered a custom pizza, along with a steak and cheese and fries. The fries were cold, the steak and cheese was so greasy.. the pizza.... We had once slice eat and threw it out. It was so bad we couldn't eat it. There was so much grease on it, let alone everything was coming off it. The pizza itself had no taste.... Never will we order from here again read more

Their chicken fingers are good and you can get double fries. It's alot of fries for me to eat. But you can feed 2 people with that dinner. The chicken is still good if you warm it up the the oven the next day. read more

Very hidden gem of Braintree. I have not tried anything else but their subs. So my opinion on their subs are that make it the best around this town. They do not cut any corners, the portion is beyond adequate, time they serve you is incredible. Definitely check this place out if you are around this area. Steak and cheese is very traditional and hearty. This place has exceeded my expectations. read more

Great pizza. Not too thick of a crust which we like. The cheese pizza and also buffalo pizzas are our go to but really can't go wrong with any of the pizza or subs on the menu. read more

Ordered delivery and it was so poor compared to previous orders. No consistency and it looks like it was slapped together. Chicken parm with a teaspoon of sauce. I live close by but will be going elsewhere from now on read more

First time I ordered everything was great and quick now going a little downhill. Orders inconsistent in quality (burnt pizza/chicken, missing chips from wrap orders for pick up) and customer service could be 100x better read more

Horrible. Horrible service. I ordered a grilled chicken teriyaki plate less than a month ago for $11.00 and today I am charged $15. I asked the guy who picked up when did the prices change and he responds "I don't know" in such a flippant tone that it made me assume he is pre-charging me tip or charging me more because I am paying with a CC. Otherwise, why the hostility and snippy tone? This is where I feel as though he started it, just saying. So I ask, "Well, who would know?" and he responds "Look, do you want the order or not?" I reply, "Yes but that has nothing to do with the question I asked you so who would know when they changed?" "The owner." "And, who is that?" "Steve." "How can I contact Steve?" Here, he actually yells "I don't know! Do you want the order or not?" "You work there but you don't know how to contact the owner?" He is still yelling at this point. "I am Steve! Do you want the order or not? I don't care!" "I already said I wanted to order but, again this has nothing - " "Here is what I am going to do. I am canceling your order. I don't even care!" and hung up on me. Now, trust me, if I was being snippy or rude FIRST, I wouldn't have posted a review because customers aren't always right but he didn't need to be like that. Steve, the supposed owner, is a completely miserable person who shouldn't answer the phone, ever. I read other reviews, after the fact of course, and the summaries is the same "good food but expensive and terrible customer service." I like their food but pizza joints are a dime a dozen around here. No one should get rewarded with hard earned money when they treat customers this way. I will never order from them again and I am well on my way to making sure no one orders from there from my office, either. read more

What's Sunday night dinner without ordering pizza. My family ordered Angelina's in Braintree for the first time and from first bite to finish -- it was delicious. Disappointing. Expensive for what reason, I don't know. About 15$ for a soggy greasy pizza. Almost 10$ for a soggy not fresh at all Italian sub. Steak tips were good. Side salad was gross. Fries were ok. Not worth it. Won't be ordering again. read more

Lets start by saying I used to love this place, but the quality and service is not what it used to be. With that said... I still love their pizza and will go back for it from time to time. When I was there in April, I got some slices, but the crust and bottom were burnt. I actually didn't say anything until I bite into a cold egg and pepper sub (supposed to be a hot sub). The pepper was not cooked well. No problem, I politely asked if they could throw it in the oven for a few minutes to heat it up. One of the line cook lady asked, "what do you mean it is cold?" I said, I was expecting this to be a hot sub. The lady still wasn't impressed until the cashier finally said, "just make him another one." I said, no need, just warm up this one. Then today, a customer came to pick up a salad and returned to say there is no feta cheese. The guy used his gloved hand to dig around a bit and said they are at the bottom. The customer agreed but said "but last time it was missing!". Obviously this happened before as people don't normally check their food until they get home. Like I said, the pizza still hit the spot today!! But their quality on other items and service might be slipping. read more

Low quality meats. Low quality breads. False promises. Poor customer service. You can't build an empire on those four ingredients. But goddammit, Angelina's is going to try! It amazes me to see the absolute lowbrow underbelly of society that are able to open up establishments of their own. I could make a better sandwich than these guys using nothing but my ass. How do these people stay afloat? It doesn't even make sense. Braintree needs to wake the @#$% up and start demanding better quality from their local pizza shops. This place is filth! I'd rather puke and swallow than eat here again. read more

The pizza's good, most of the subs are good, but holy crap....they really need to get someone with a better personality to answer the phone/run the register. On more that one occasion (and more than one employee--not always the same person; apparently all their register staff is miserable), the girl answering the phone has the personality of a wet mop. I've never heard someone more seemingly annoyed with customers in my life..like how dare i call to order a pizza at lunch time. I mean, this person is the first contact your customers have with your business--would it kill her to have some inflection in her voice and not talk in a monotone? If she's that unhappy at her job, she should probably go elsewhere. And then when you pick up your food, she's exactly how you expect--permanent frown on her face, unsociable attitude....seriously. You're in the service industry, you're who the customer deals with. Try a smile every once and a while read more

This place is great! This is my new spot for pizza and subs. My boyfriend enjoys this place because the size of their subs. He always orders the chicken parmesan and has not been disappointed once. Their pizza is also really good. We usually get a Hawaiian but their cheese pizza is great too! The wait is usually only 15 minutes too, which is not bad. There is one girl who works there that answers the phone who always seems to cut me off. But that does not really matter to me because their food is so good. Definitely try this place! read more

Love the food here!! The only complaint I have is with the woman who works the cash register and answers the phone.....miserable attitude. I feel she must be a close family member who is being MADE to work there against her will! Thankfully though a new woman started a few months ago who is the complete opposite....very friendly and always has a smile on her face :) I love that the food prep is all up front so you can see the guys making your sub/pizza/etc......talking of the guys, they are working their butts off constantly! I don't expect them to greet every customer coming in or have smile on their faces because they must be exhausted! However, they're always pleasant to me, and my boyfriend always make small talk with them. Like I said before though, I love the food! Everything's made to order and we've had no problems. read more

Some of the worst pizza we ever had. One was eggplant and the "eggplant" was not fresh, it was deep fried cutlet pieces that literally had no discernible eggplant in it. Think pizza covered in deep fried breading. The second pizza was veggie and none of the veggies were truly fresh. Think canned mushrooms. We had heard good things, and we wanted it to be good as they are local, but we were really let down and won't be giving them a second chance. read more

I order from here a lot because it is convenient but it is a hit or miss. Lately it has been a huge miss. I recently ordered a Caesar wrap which tasted extremely fishy. Maybe they switched the dressing and it was from anchovies? It was disgusting and inedible regardless and the lettuce was all rusted. The chicken was dry and had pink marks through it. I won't be ordering from here again. read more
