Ive been here for 10 years in Famous Nails and everything started crowding down ever since new Owners came in. Let me tell you one thing, This lady spat in the nail glue just to save more for the next client. She tried hiding in the corner of the place but I watched her HONEY. she then brought it back to a desk and I said nuh uh not me. That same day this Asian Lady did my nails and she started starting a conversation starting with a young girl. She asked me that question if I knew her and I surprisingly did because I teach her at my school. Mind you this Lady spoke horrendously things about her family. Terrible service. Would put 0 stars but that's not available. The nail tech didn't seem knowledgeable in how to do a basic full set and polish. The acrylic was thick, lumpy and all of the nails were unevenly filed. When asked if she could do it over she became upset. She attempted to do them over. all the while being extremely rough. Pissed off that I paid over $210 for the 2 nail techs to rush, cut and do a shit job on nail art. It was so bad I had to completely change my design to something even more basic. I never knew it was a race to see how many clients they could mess up on. My daughter and I came to this establishment where there were only 3 other customers when we walked in at 9:05am. First, we sat down to get the pedicure, which was fine. We actually both loved it however that love was short lived, We moved onto our manicure/ full set . My daughter and I both asked for simple styles however both failed at the task while my daughter just wanted two simple bows one on each finger and I just wanted French nails what my daughter got was kindergarten drawing on her nails and when we both spoke up about it, they dismissed us and said it was fine however, I asked multiple nail techs that were not busy if they would be able to fix it all of a sudden nobody spoke English. Secondly, I'm beyond livid at the guy working on my nails and all I want was a French tip. I'm not sure how he passed Nailz school, but he couldn't seem to get the concept down right and for his sake, I decided to go with all white nails with a blue heart. And if you thought the nail art wasn't enough, my daughter and I both are bleeding from our nails due to them drilling are cuticles down too far. Our nails are different sizes. One side is larger than the other and vice versa overall, I felt like if they would have just taken their time considering I paid well over $200 Maybe I wouldn't be writing such a shit review for them. I used to recommend this place to all my friends and family. However they have now permanently changed that I will never spend my money there again. Terrible gel manicure that only lasted 2 days!! My mom treated me to a gel mani and pedi when I was in town visiting her. Two days later 8 out of my 10 finger nails began chipping and peeling. By day 4, three of them actually just fell off. They obviously didn't apply them correctly because gel nails always last 14-30 days for me. My mom called to complain and they said they couldn't do anything since I didn't live there and couldn't come back in right then. Their excuse was that "sometimes that just happens." Again, I've never had that happen. If you look at other reviews you can see that it's happened there before so it must be common in their business. I'd recommend you stay away unless you want to waste your money and the time it'd take to take to go in to have them fixed. read more

Me and my mom went to this nail salon to get a full set of acrylics. The guy was very aggressive with my nails and cut several fingers, as my fingers started to burn i told him but he didn't care. After only 4 days of having my acrylics 2 nails popped off, my moms acrylics popped off after only a week and a half. They also can't do design and they don't listen on what you want as I got a completely different set of nails than i had wanted. I strongly don't recommend this place. read more

I walked-in at 11am and was immediately greeted and asked what service I would like. I only wanted a pedicure and was directed to choose a color. There was someone ready for me and I immediately sat down to a warm running water bath with built-in massage in the pedicure "throne". I was asked if I wanted the 20, 30, or 40 pedicure and I think she meant what level pedicure I wanted (massage duration). I am on a budget so politely asked for the 20 pedicure. She did an outstanding job from start to finish. She asked me if I wanted to also have a manicure today, and I almost did it, but I explained why I didn't want to at that particular time. She was completely cool about me declining and continued to do a great job. Aside from the language barrier, I honestly had a very good experience at Famous Nails. I would definitely recommend it to anyone and would also come back. I believe if you arrive with a good attitude, they'll follow your lead. And in this particular visit, everything was pleasant from start to finish. I read the other reviews on here about Famous Nails and am really wondering if they even went to the same location (in the Publix plaza). Be kind and be pleasantly surprised by the reciprocation. I walked in with no appointment and it wasn't busy at all. I was seated immediately and ended up waiting there 20 minutes with my feet soaking in cold water. The workers walked by and kept telling me one minute but I still ended up waiting there for 20 minutes. They hardly spoke English and kept trying to make me buy the $30 pedicure. The french tip on my nails are crooked and he spilled polish all over the top of my sandals and didn't wipe it off. The staff are very clumsy and laugh when they spilled their products on the floor. I've gotten my nails done at least a dozen times, and this place is by far my favorite. I'm not sure who the technician was, but she was very gentle with me and the nails turned out beautiful. I was not happy at all. I even called & set an appointment with Lilly yet I did not see her at all. my friend payed $35 for a basic pedicure & manicure & I payed $55 plus tip! I came to this place for the first time about month and a half ago. I was very conflicted about even sharing a review. But I did not have a good experience. On my initial visit I got only gel manicure and pedicure my bill was $55, which was fine. They where extremely busy but I did not have to wait long at all. Especially since I arrived after five. Unfortunately, I had to return 2 days later because the most of the gel polish was peeling off my nails. I have been getting gel manicures for years, they last up to two weeks. When I returned, the owner was very polite and eager to resolve issue, which was good. Here's where it all went downhill. The person who re-did my gel manicure was RUDE as fuck(pardon my language). When she finished with my nails she literally dropped the cuticle oil on my nails, She DID NOT massage it into my cuticles so I did not know she was finished until she stood up and literally "SHOOED" me away with her hands like I was some stray animal searching scraps and said "go". Clearly, she had an attitude but I don't know why. I do not now her name but she is an older woman that sits on the second row. Her license is there so that is her workstation. The only reason I gave this a two because the owner was very pleasant. Customer service still matters. And after spending $55.00 plus tip and with second visit within 48-hour period. She asked what I wanted done as soon as I told her..I just wanted shellac she got a horrible attutide. She said "you don't want the manicure?" I told her I just wanted my nails polished with shellac. My daughter went with a friend to get a full set yesterday afternoon and the entire thumb nail popped off last night. Clearly they weren't done properly. Even drug store press on nails last longer than a few hours. We went in this morning to get it repaired and were not even greeted timely. Once they finally acknowledged we were standing there we were told it would be 30-40 minutes wait to get it repaired. Ridiculous! The shop is filthy and the staff are rude. This is my second time and I guess I did not learn my lesson the first. They charge for the length of the nails and I explain I type alot can I have it short. Well that mean long and I ask for coffen nails they gave me square nail. They say one price and do the basic job. So be careful and don't get bully them. Several people were waiting with two employees. More people continued to come in and were helped. No one said a word to me. After 30 mins with no contact I left. I went to Famous Nails for the first time in March. The shop was clean, not too busy and seemed to have a lot of staff on hand so no long waits. I went in for a pink and white fill, I was asked to take a seat and someone would be with me shortly. I was later asked to take a seat where I was greeted by Jenna. I told her what I wanted and since this was my first time here I wanted talk to Jenna about their busiest times, days, hours etc. (I have a very busy schedule with work and my kids sports) she didn't really seem too talkative and gave me few word answers. As she was doing my nails I was looking at them (maybe this pissed her off??) so she asked me "what's wrong with them?" I said absolutely nothing I love them. I don't like to jump around from shop to shop and I was looking for a new shop since the shop I used to go to sold to new owners and my regular nail tech of 15+ years went to a shop in Immokalee. I was excited to have found someone so quickly that did my nails perfectly. I asked her to be my nail tech going forward and her response was "no I don't feel comfortable doing your nails" WAIT ???What just happened??? I said excuse me? I thought maybe I heard her wrong so I asked her to repeat herself. She said it again "I don't feel comfortable doing your nails, I will give you to Tena next time because she is better than me." I said to Jenna, but I like how you did my nails I would rather have you do them. She asked me to wash up as I was done so when I returned I'm thinking ok ha ha maybe she's just joking so I paid her, tipped her well, and jokingly said I hope you change your mind and see you next time. There was no anger, tension or escalated moments during this visit so no reason for what happened to me next. I return to shop a few weeks later for a fill. I called ahead to make the appointment with Jenna and when I got there I had to wait a bit because she was with another customer. No problem right? Well she finishes with customer and another girl walks in asking for Jenna as well, the lady up front Tena tells her Jenna has appointment waiting can you come back. Jenna comes to front and rudely tells me in front of everyone "I told you the last time I'm not doing your nails" OMG the humiliation was insane!!! She took the other girl and left me sitting there flabbergasted as to what just happened. Tena looked at me talked to Jenna in their language and then told me someone else would take care of me. I really started to walk out but I needed my nails done and most shops close by 7/7:30 so I stayed. I got my nails done by Harlen who was a total sweetheart, so I asked her because I was still in disbelief "do you know why she won't do my nails?" she said no but don't worry about her she's like that sometimes. Tena came to me again and apologized. A gentleman that walked in about a half hour later (maybe shop owner) I guess was told the story in their language and he also apologized for the incident. I probably will not return there but it also seems unfair to Tena/Harlen who treated me great. I don't know what about me rubbed Jenna the wrong way because she never gave me an explanation, she does great nails but apparently only if she likes you. Good luck with her if you get her, I would completely understand if I was being difficult or rude to her but no such thing happened. She just didn't like me for whatever reason. I read the other reviews and I am shocked to hear this. I have been going here for almost a year and I love it! Emily is my tech and she is always on time. I actually live in Fort Myers and drive to Lehigh just because of her. I am not always great at keeping up with my fills like I am supposed to and she does such a good job that they stay intact until I go back and sometimes it is a month between visits. I do recommend having an appointment because they are always packed. Prices are fair and the work is solid. read more
