My best friend and I came here late Saturday morning while running errands in Lompoc. We were scouting nails salons nearby as we both were in desperate need of a pedicure for a big event the next day. . Initially, we called them for a price check and they asked us to come in around noon; it was 11:15am when we called). That was a little later than we expected, nonetheless, shortly after they called us back and said we can come in right away! It was perfect timing as we were only five minutes away. . Upon walking in, we were greeted by the woman that took our phone call and they had us sit in the waiting chairs in the lobby while they set up the stations for our pedicures. . They were slightly busy for a typical weekend, but there were seven (7) employees present and they handled the volume well. No one was waiting to be serviced. My bestie and I agreed on a sparkly purple coat for our toes and sat next to one another. My tech had a great attention to detail and made sure to take their time. . Absolutely excellent results. Got builder gel fill and I feel like my nail tech took such meticulous care of my nails with my favourite shape I've had! There are also so many fun options and metallic ones I wanna try next time. Chin is an absolute light!!! I went in for a short white-tip full set and white pedicure for $55 each ($110 total). Price was fair, but I was there three hours... The lady who did my nails was kind & did a decent job. Hai did my pedicure. He barely even prepped the nail. A big concern is the sanitation of the place & practices. Everything looked used. At some point he grabbed a towel to clean his face, then later used that SAME paper towel to "clean" some blood off my in grown nail that was removed. Didn't even sanitize the nail, & still applied nail polish over a bleeding nail. Nothing about this place felt sanitary. On the bright side the owner (Cindy) was really kind. read more

I had wanted to make an appointment sooner but couldn't due to life circumstances. I looked up other salons in the area and called Famous Nails. They said I could come in right away and I was very excited! The minute I walked in, I was seated and asked about what color I'd like my nails to be. I showed some design inspo and the manicurist got to work. He was speedy but it simultaneously felt like he was taking his time with my nails. Once he was done, I was so happy with the final product! They were exactly what I wanted. Overall, very happy with my experience and would come again!:) One thing I will note is they prefer cash payment. The people who work in the salon are great, however when I go to get my nails painted with gel polish they use a grinder to make it easier for the gel to adhere. But it thins my nails and then the following week my nails break and I never have breakage issues. When I get my nails done I want them to last at least 2 weeks. When I complain to them, they say I don't have healthy nails. Not true, and not cool. read more

Hai gave me a pedicure today, I was able to walk right in, they made time for me. I love the lavender scrub they use. And they really spend time on the foot massage, unlike alot of places that rush through it. Update: Was a loyal customer but after waiting 10-20 minutes past my appointment time every single time I came- I had it. I am a busy mom of two toddlers. I have to do a lot planning and I manage to late it early for my appointment out of respect of their time. Yet I never get the same in return. I've waited for Tony to come in and he walks in with Starbucks, I've waited on Hai every single time I came and the service is already slow. The last time I went in Hai was 20 minutes over working on another customer. If it takes more than an hour to do a pedicure then why book back to back. The lady on the phone was nice and it was convenient to walk in for a pedicure but I would not return. The environment was uncomfortable, employees seemed to raise voices at each other, this happened when they were looking for the polish color I selected. My technician couldn't communicate with me, or even try, and it felt weird. The area was dirty (the organizer ftools and whatnot was covered in stuff) and I couldn't tell if they cleaned their instruments between services. I was also promptly ignored after my service and had to find help to leave and pay. It was awkward. I really needed my toes done for a Christmas event but I should have skipped it. I now and have some sort of weird painful, flaking, itching spot under one of my toes. Never ever again will I go to this place, I'm so upset and now afraid to see the health of my nails under the polish. I should call the state board on this sh*t show. read more

I went there the day before my Hawaii vacation and I wanted flowers on my nails for the occasion. The only drawback was that I had to wait an hour, even though I made an appointment. They said they had it on order but come on over. I had an appointment scheduled and went in to see Tony, a nail artist that used to work where I went before. Tony did an amazing job and takes great pride in his work. Today, I opted to do Gel Builder. they are so light but so strong. I will continue to support Tony and Famous nails. There was only staff member here at this time. Surprisingly he was still able to get me in with less than 10 minute wait. However, he kept mentioning how his wife was supposed to be coming to do my gel nails. The way he was saying it made it seem like he was not able to do them? The time under the UV light was uneven, but I mean it is still on 2.5 weeks later, so that is a good sign? I wouldn't recommend that he continues to use the vacuum cleaner to take off the nail trimmings and calus dust that was over my hands and desk. It didn't seem as hygienic to be doing that. But, I mean it works right? Faster cleanup! I loved the color he did on my hands. I appreciated that he was fast with the service. But I definitely don't feel like I got the full experience.
