The food is delicious. I had a chicken and lamb kebab. It was really good. I believe that they cook to order so call ahead. Other than that I'd recommend. Oh the staff is friendly. There was a young man there that took my order bless his heart, I didn't know what I wanted and I gave him a run for his money. Thank you young fella for you're a patient. This place has really declined. I have been coming here for years and today I think it hit an all time low. I paid $13.50 for an entree to receive two small pieces of chicken. The rice had absolutely no flavor. I asked for meat sauce and was given lentils. What once was solid authentic afghan cuisine is no longer authentic at all. Prior to today we've had a number of delivery orders that were either wrong or missing whole entrees. The manager has always been very nice. I'm not sure if his absence from the daily operations are what is taking a toll on the service and food but I really hope they get it together. read more

Came here as a group of three from work on a weekday... they were pretty busy, with 3 tables full of patrons. They had a sign on the front door for a lunch special for $7.45, so we each got that; I tried the ground beef kabob. The food was decent, the kabob was lacking flavor, but the rice, chick peas and chutney were nicely spiced up. The Afghan bread was really good. The chutney was very tasty. Pouring nearly half the bowl of chutney over the beef kabob (it was shaped like a Seekh kabob, but lack the ingredients and flavor) really spiked it up nicely. They mostly have kabob/grilled type dishes with only a few curry-type items, which are mostly sides. The place is very blah when it comes to décor and they have the typical tables and chairs of no style nor fashion. Seemed clean inside and the cashier was friendly, smiled during our interactions with her. We'd return, as the food was pretty good and the price is right. read more

I wanted to love this place. I still do. But last time I purchased food on a slow day the bread was cold and the rice and chickpeas were lukewarm which means it's not fresh as well as I worry about the safety of the food. I wanted to go back and try it again but every time I drive by even on quiet days where there is no one in the store The front door and windows are filthy. If there's no one in the store don't you think they could at least walk to the front with some Windex and wipe the front door? I adore middle eastern food and am really optimistic that this place will improve but how many more years will I have to wait. I ordered the chappli kabob and it was rough not really peshawari style as is advertised. Peshawari Chapli Kabob is lamb meat baked in cow fat or sheep fat.... this was hard beef cooked in perhaps the cheapest industrial oil they could find. Chicken was tender tho. I suppose you cant really go wrong with chicken unless you totally suck. All in all I'd go back just not as often as I would if the food had been more authentic. read more

This place is located right next to the Panda Express in Manassas, VA on Liberia Ave. I have to say, I've been looking forward to it opening for quite a while! Hands down best Kabob place in Manassas. Service is always excellent. We always get the chicken, lamb, or beef kabobs and they are always delicious. The portions are generous and are served with either rice pilaf or white rice, salad, and choice of side. Oh and I can't forget the fresh baked Naan bread that comes with too. The chickpeas are my favorite side. The gyro is definitely big enough to share with another person and does not disappoint.
