I love this food! Amin the owner gives amazing costumer service, it's a really clean place. 100% recommended

Solid overall. No frills, a little lost in translation but solid overall. The lamb was tender. The chicken moist. The spinach a tad watery. The salad was fresh. 3.5 so I will leave 4 because halal was on point.

Place is alright, I bought the chicken and beef combo and for the amount, it's pretty expensive. Meat was a little over done, chickpeas was decent. I ordered online and told them I placed it online and they made me wait because they thought I was grubhub :\ Overall it's ok, I have had better kabobs.

I picked up dinner from this place the other night (because the place I was planning to go to was already closed) and glad I did! I ordered a Combo Kabob with one chicken skewer and one beef skewer, small chickpea soup, rice, salad, and Afghan bread. I loved everything! I ate as much as I could until I got really really full. The kabobs were very tender and flavorful and taste better with rice and/or Afghan bread. I'd definitely drop by this place soon for my kabob cravings.

Sandwich and rice. The nan is well made.

Friendly guy at the counter. the food was cooked to order, so it takes a bit longer but worth it. The food was really good. Seasoned right without over doing it. The green sauce has just the right kick. Dining room is very basic but clean. Overall, I'd come back for sure.

Yelp reviewers, y'all let me down this time! I got the lunch kabob and Although they were quick with my order, It was flavorless. The chicken was ehh, the rice was alright, but the sauces....... the white sauce was STRAIGHT UP MAYO. WTF. The green sauce was watered down.. I normally love the white sauce and not the green bc it's too spicy for me , but here... it was the opposite. The only reason I could handle the green sauce was because it was so watered down. Also, The table was disgusting, not clean hence why I put my to-go box on top of a plastic bag.

This place has really declined. I have been coming here for years and today I think it hit an all time low. I paid $13.50 for an entree to receive two small pieces of chicken. The rice had absolutely no flavor. I asked for meat sauce and was given lentils. What once was solid authentic afghan cuisine is no longer authentic at all. Prior to today we've had a number of delivery orders that were either wrong or missing whole entrees. The manager has always been very nice. I'm not sure if his absence from the daily operations are what is taking a toll on the service and food but I really hope they get it together.

I've been going here for years. The lamb kabob has always been my favorite. I highly recommend for great service and great food!

This place is a rip-off. The new manager service is terrible. They charge extra for using a card, but there's no signage to indicate this.

This past weekend, I had one of those meals that lingers with you long after the last bite--halwa,…read morepuri, Punjabi murg chole, all coming together in a way that felt both familiar and completely new at Charcoal Chicken. The puri arrived hot and perfectly puffed--golden, light, and crunchy on the outside, yet soft enough to soak up every bit of flavor. Then came the Punjabi murg chole, and that's where the magic really happened. The chicken was tender and deeply seasoned, not overpowering, but rich with warmth and spice. Paired with the chickpeas, it created a hearty, comforting balance--earthy, savory, and incredibly satisfying. We all know halwa puri with chole is a classic. It's nostalgic, it's comforting, it's expected. But adding Punjabi-style chicken into the mix? That took the entire experience to another level. The chicken didn't compete with the chole--it elevated it. Every bite with puri felt intentional, layered, and indulgent. This wasn't just breakfast or brunch--it was a vibe. A bold twist on tradition that felt rooted yet exciting. If halwa puri is comfort food, then halwa puri with Punjabi murg chole is comfort food that decided to show up dressed sharp and confident. A combination I didn't know I needed--but now won't forget.

Really good, but next time I want to try some different items…read more I ordered the Garlic naan 6/10 not much flavor and the Briyani butter chicken. Although good, I really love saucy rice so I might have to try the Butter chicken independently. I'm also going to try a more standard briyani like the goat one. Overall, I will definitely give this spot another try. We ordered a to go meal. It took around 10-15 mins to prepare. A very casual looking spot.
