I was looking for an affordable sports jacket and, after doing a lot of research, I came across K&G…read moreFashion. I decided to check it out since they seemed to have a wide selection. As soon as I walked in, I was honestly overwhelmed by how many suits they had. I walked around for a bit trying to find someone to help me, but either the associates were busy with other customers or didn't acknowledge me. Eventually, I approached one associate, and after explaining what I was looking for, he was very helpful. He found my size, the color I wanted, and was informative throughout the process. I was also happy to find out they had a special. It was actually cheaper to buy the full suit than just the jacket alone. So I ended up getting a full suit for the price I originally planned to spend on just a jacket. The issue came with alterations. Since they offer tailoring services, I asked the associate to have the suit tailored to a slim fit. He told me the jacket was fine as is, and that only the pants needed hemming. I trusted his judgment since I'm not too familiar with how suits are supposed to fit. A week later, I picked up the suit, and I wasn't thrilled with how it looked. After trying it on again, I noticed the jacket felt too big. A different associate helped me this time and agreed it needed further tailoring. I had to pay an additional $56 to get it adjusted properly. Overall, K&G is a great place to find a suit at an affordable price, but be cautious with tailoring. Don't be afraid to speak up or ask for a second opinion to make sure you're getting the fit you really want.

However, one trip on the weekend will remove that disillusion. The place becomes overwhelmed. There will be shoes everywhere, a long wait for help (even with their sign-up sheet) and trying to get a look at the merchandise is impossible...and don't even think about trying to take a stroller in there. During my last weekend visit - the cashier that checked me out (not the girl that helped me) didn't even greet me with a 'hello!' She asked if the shoes were mine - checked me out by giving me a total - and sent me on my way. I would also add that their ability to give you a good fit for your child's feet is a 50-50 shot based on the employee that you get to help you.

She asked if I needed help, I explained I'm looking for a black book but I also have these feet that are hard to fit which is one of the reasons why I don't like to wear shoes (high arches wide foot narrow heal). BB picked up a black boot 8C Ariat Heritage Western R Toe with ATS technology (a little bit of cush in the sole)... the 8 was a little loose so we went with a 7.5 and my foot went right in snuggly just like a boot should, also knowing they will eventually stretch out a bit. It's a plain black boot which is totally fine, that really all I want or need. Looking at the price, it's the lowest price boot I have ever chose, seriously... OH, and it's on sale at 10% off this week??? I think we have a winner!!! I asked BB to write down the info for me. I usually discuss all my big purchases with my hubby first, as he does with me... it's a budget thing as well as showing respect for each other. He knows I have been looking for years, kind of sort of, off and on. And since the boots were $150 instead of an additional zero on the end, he was extremely happy. BB said she only works part time but I would be able to talk to anyone about ordering the boot. The one I tried on was saved for another customer. A few days later, I called and talked to Elsa. She was more than happy to order the boot at the sale price for me... said it would take about a week to get the boots in... Just in time for the rodeo... Yee Haw! Well, I called a week later and no boots... it took another week after that. No worries, my rodeo date hadn't passed yet. When I went to pick up my boots, I brought my hat to get cleaned since I noticed that they had a steamer there. The GM, Sam, was more than happy to accommodate me and clean it right then and there. I put my new boots on and walked out in them.... got to wear 'em to break 'em in! Thank you Sam, Elsa, BB... I LOVE my BOOTS!

Elmo is an absolute treasure! I made a call to the store and asked about a Co2 tank for a T-shirt…read morecannon. I needed it ASAP. Elmo was so kind and polite when he checked to see if his store had any on the shelf. While on a brief hold he came back on the line to let me know it would be just a little bit longer so that he could make sure there was someone in store with experience in filling the tanks. I really appreciated that update. It made me feel like a valued customer. When I arrived in store 20 minutes later I encountered Elmo on his hands and knees pounding out a baseball glove straight from the steamer on a cushion placed on the floor with a wooden mallet! Elmo is incredible. It's obvious that he loves his job! I introduced myself and away we went to get the Co2 tanks! He directed me to pay for them up front and in the meantime he'd find someone to fill them for me. After paying, I returned to where I'd left him and sure to his word Elmo and Josh, the store manager was waiting for me to return with my receipt. I can't thank Elmo enough. The T-shirt cannon worked like a charm! Please let him know what a fantastic job he is doing! I told him he was awesome and he just gave me a little chuckle.
