It's…read morea pretty large store, and it offers a shoe area, multiple dressing rooms, a plus-sized area, and a regularly-sized area. It's bigger than most mall Maurice locations that I've seen. Maurices sizing goes from a size 0 all the way up to a size 24. Their plus-sized selection is smaller (about 1/4 of the store) compared to the regular sizes, but it's still quite a bit of clothing. Staff is really what makes this store. Staff is helpful without being pushy. They happily will open a fitting room for you, and they occasionally will check in and ask if they can help you find items. Lots of other people were taking advantage of that, and staff was helping them put together great outfits by making suggestions. They are really good about regularly using your name and making you feel like a valued customer. I was looking for a scarf in a different color, and the staff was really helpful. They looked it up on their own system, double-checked throughout the whole store when the system said they didn't have it, and then offered to call down to the Waterloo location and see if they had one for me. The entire experience was very friendly, and I always got the feeling that the staff genuinely was having an okay time working there and wanted to help. Price can be a bit high depending on the items. I'd recommend trying to take advantage of their sales; they regularly have discounts or "Buy One, Get One ___" sales which help lower the prices. They also offer a free rewards program that gives you a $5 credit for every $100 you spend, so that will you save a bit more money. Finding specific items can be a bit difficult, though, so you may need to ask for help. For example, their scarves are placed in multiple areas throughout the entire store, so it can make it hard to compare all scarves at once. However, with such helpful staff, it really isn't too hard to eventually find what you're looking for. Maurices has nice clothing, but what really makes this store is the staff. This is probably one of the best customer service experiences that I've had in awhile.

Thank you for not forgetting the big girls! They have plenty of selection in casual and dressy options. My one complaint is in the summer there are way too many sleeveless options and not enough short sleeve selection. I'm not allowed to wear sleeveless at work. They always have ample friendly staff ready to assist and get you a dressing room. The store is always clean and well stocked.

I missed a lot of work cause COVID was involved. When I called to say my Dad died I was given phone numbers to find a replacement. The day my dad was buried they texted me twice asking for proof of the funeral. This was horrible for me n my family and no other siblings had trouble like that with their jobs. We all missed lots of work. I then received a letter saying I was terminated for missing 3 days in a row. Saddest time ever, and I wasn't granted a leave because of discrimination and poor management. They literally had no one to replace me cause it was that difficult to work there. We paid for the entire dress in March 2018, over $1200 upfront, for a wedding to be held in October 2019. As the time grew nearer, we began to inquire about our order. The short story is THE WEDDING DRESS NEVER ARRIVED and most likely never was ordered. The owner, Andrea Stallman was incredibly deceitful to my daughter & I about the whereabouts of the dress order many times. We were told it was still being made, it was stuck at the distributor in Tennessee, and then she said we would have to work with another bridal shop, as she was going out of business. No attempt on her part to resolve. She never set 2nd bridal shop up for us and never offered a refund for her transaction FAILURE. She did not give 2 sh*ts about her customers. We needed to find the dress again at another dress shop and paid for the exact dress a second time. I am not holding my breath to get a refund. Did anyone else get taken by Andrea? Customer service is great - the employees are so friendly and quickly pick up on if you're a returning customer and build some great rapport. They are just as passionate about playing/using the goods that they sell, which we love to see! Card selection is pretty sweet in the way of Pokemon cards. They might not always be in the best condition, but their pricing is typically very fair when it comes to these kinds of shops, so we respect that. They don't typically have pricing listed on the card sleeve though, so you either need to ask or sort of make the gamble once they ring it all up, which is a bit peculiar. My favorite part of Video Games Etc is the fact that they are always running "sales" of buy 6 cards, get the 7th free or buy x amount of used dvds, video games, etc. and get your next one free. It's very similar I would say to 2nd and Charles kinds of deals and gives the vibes of being a smaller 2nd and Charles in general, which is lovely to see!
