I stopped in over the holidays recently with a pair of Timberland boots that I had purchased only a few months earlier. The sole of the shoe had begun to come apart, and as you can imagine, I was not pleased with my over $150.00 purchase. I had been in the store no more than a couple of minutes when an associate (Danielle M., if I got that wrong I apologize) approached me and asked if she could be of any assistance. I explained my situation and that I was shopping for new shoes when she told me "let us look up your receipt and exchange them." In less than ten minutes, I had a new pair of the same shoes on my feet as I walked out of the store and was given the difference in taxes from Chicago to Algonquin so I could purchase a cleaning kit for them. She even sprayed my boots with water repellent before I left the store. Simply put, Danielle went above and beyond to make sure I was not only happy but got value for the money I spent. I am a DSW customer for life now! Loyalty, respect for me and my hard earned dollars goes a long way in my book, and I will never shop anywhere else for shoes again. Thank you, Danielle, and thank you DSW!

We were browsing until the owner came back and help explained to us what to look for and properly size our little's feet. We felt no pressure to purchase anything, and had a great time learning what to look for and what to watch out for when shoe shopping for him and us. Overall a great experience, if you're on the hunt for shoes and need shoe-advice, we can't recommend Tootsies enough.

After I found a pair to try I didn't even have to ask to get them in my size. The girl asked my size and brought out 2 sizes and explained they run a little small so she got my size and one size up. I went through trying on about 6 different shoes and finally picked 2. The girl explained they didn't have the color of one I wanted in my size but could special order it for me. She informed me they needed a 50% down payment to order which I was ok with. She placed the order and rang up the other pair I bought. She told me the discount amount I've built up on a future pair of shoes too (Yippee!) This is the 2nd time I've purchased shoes from Shoelace and I've always had a pleasant experience. One piece of advice is to be sure you understand the return policy. Don't buy shoes, wear them, then expect a full refund. :)

As I got into my 20s, style always trumped comfort so I hadn't owned a second pair for 30 years! Now I'm almost 50 and comfort comes before style, but I was happy that these shoes are both comfy and stylish! Today I bought 2 pairs of casual athletic shoes that are suitable for a business casual work environment. There happened to be a BOGO 50% off and so I got 2 pairs for $70. The staff wasn't particularly joyful and bubbly, but they weren't rude or mean either. We did get nice greetings from them as we entered, so I'd say average customer service. Definitely not something to complain about. I'll be back soon, because the puffy shoes are so darn comfortable.
