Hello this is Chyna. I am currently enrolled and so far, I am liking it. Megan is an amazing instructor who teaches you everything that you need to know and is there to help you with anything that you need, just ask her whatever questions that you have and she will answer. I feel like I've learned quite a bit in terms of bartending and made so many drinks already in just three days of me being there in the process, majority of them I've memorized. I will eventually take my test on Friday to get certified and ever since then, I've been studying by looking over the recipes at home in order to prepare myself for the exam. However, I do wish classes were longer, not only because I actually enjoy being there but also because I think the more time students are there, the more time we have where we can learn and practice the drinks which will increase our chances of getting everything done pack from knowing the recipes to the techniques of making the drinks with no problems at a quicker pace and even though 4 hour classes is long, it's not the longest time and I don't really feel like that's enough, the classes feel shorter, especially if you are always doing something, time goes by fast and for the program to only last a week, you would want to learn as much as possible. I suggest maybe changing the time from 4-hours to 6-8 hour classes, I honestly think that this would do wonders for those that need extra time being in class to be able to go over the drinks and practice more. If not, at-least consider starting after school hours for those that need extra help by being able to stay for an hour or more to receive it, but besides all of that, this school is a great place to be in and I am glad that I'm going there and getting a chance to learn the absolute fundamentals, enroll here and start building your knowing on bartending, I promise you, you don't want to miss out :) read more

I'm so glad I finally took this class! Jesse makes it so fun and easy to learn. He teaches hands on, is very attentive to students and doesn't let anyone get left behind. He works with you until you know what you're doing. The binder you get on the first day goes over so many recipes, more than what we can go over in class. Take notes during the videos ( I took this class during the pandemic so the first "week" was through video lessons) and the hands on lessons will come naturally! There are 4 bar set ups in the Woodbridge location which made it easy to pair up and rotate (bartender/customer) and everyone got a chance to practice a lot everyday. They make sure you're 100% comfortable and confident before moving onto the exam. THEY WANT YOU TO PASS! They do everything in your power to help you, the rest is up to you. If you are eager to learn, you will do well and be a certified bartender in 1 week!!!! read more

I had a great experience at Famous Bartending School in Woodbridge. I came in with absolutely no bartending experience, and by the end of the course I felt confident making drinks, free pouring, and working behind the bar. The hands-on training made everything easy to learn, and the atmosphere was always welcoming and fun. Jessie, the owner, really cares about his students and wants everyone to succeed, which shows in the way the school is run. This is my second time around taking attending bartending school. This was a different experience since 2004 and under new ownership and management. The online courses help to get accustomed to being around the bar. But every student has to get used to the different styles of teaching from the instructors. Some push you hard, so instruct at the students pace. But all of their jobs are to get you ready to be thrown in the fire. It's a good atmosphere and place to be to meet other highly motivated and special people.. Even at 43 I was able to keep up, learn, grow, and push myself.. This was the best experience ever I pick the Woodbridge location because it's closer to home I came in very nervous I had some knowledge of bartending in the past but that was almost five years ago thank God for my teacher Sara she took her time with me helping me refresh my memory she was absolutely amazing funny and fun to train with she broke it down step by step and I love that they help you find work even after your done and you can always come back and refresh your training it was great and I'm glad I did it now it's time to make some money!!!!! I had a great experience here at Famous Bartending School. When I started, I didn't know anything about mixing drinks or the craft that goes into it. Given I work a full time job, they made it super easy to get the training by having classes on the weekends. They teach you a wide variety of drinks as well as teach you all the terminology behind the bar. All this wouldn't be possible without the amazing instructor we had Gustavo. Amazing school! I recommend anyone who is interested in bartending to sign up with this school! Sarah and Jesse were extremely helpful! I did the 1 week program. There's so much information in this course, however it is doable, as long as you put in the hours & effort to learn!! You're also provided with a binder full of recipes, information on glassware, wines, etc.. so you can def put in the extra time whenever you can! Considering the class is only two weeks, and I'm still forming my opinion -- I can't really say too much other than I am pleasantly surprised! Haha Our instructors were John and Cody. They certainly got the job done! Having never been a bartender of any kind, I learned a lot from them -- dos, donts, recipes, and more! Class was a fun laid back atmosphere, but I still learned a lot. I definitely feel more confident applying to bar tending jobs having taken this course! I recommend it. read more

This school was great for me since it was only a week long but it still gave me the abilities I believe I need to be an effective bartender. Not only that, but there is unlimited training and many ways to make back the money you put into getting your certification after you've received it. This school is a great place to learn how to bartend! The instructors ( Cody and Sarah) teach you in such an amazing way how to make drinks and how to work behind a bar itself. The instructors have acronyms on how to make certain drinks which make learning all the drinks so much easier! This was a really great starter course. There were videos online that helped to learn outside of class. I have a regular day job Mon- Fri so I did the weekend schedule. It was intense because it's 8 hour days and it moves fast, but it was informative and realistic because that's how most bars are! The instructors teach you about real life situations you might encounter while bartending, and they were extremely helpful and knew how to work with every type of student. 40 hour course to earn a NJ Bartending License. The course topics include industry standards and recipes for over 50 drinks. Each night ample time is spent practicing drink mixing skills. Kim & Jenn led as the instructors and did a wonderful job making sure each student understood the material and sharpened their skills during drill practice. read more
