I visited Fadia at FaMiri Designs for the first time this past week. I set up my appointment over the phone on Monday for appointment on Wednesday afternoon. i had a wedding to attend that weekend on a Saturday and made my alteration appointment on the Wednesday before. Usually for an alteration appointment the work takes at least a week for the alterations to be done. Thankfully Fadia works quickly and had it ready for pick up two days later, that Friday-mid afternoon! I had two major alterations done to my dress and they all turned out flawlessly. One was that material needed to be tucked on my shoulder due to excess material on my front of dress that hung too low on this mid breast-cut out design for an elegant opening that was too wide for my frame. Which she made into a diamond stitch on my shoulder and pulled the material tighter and beautifully stitched. Second was in my lower back/buttocks area, there was excess material there as well and she had stitched that in the same design of diamond and the material hugged my stomach, lower back, and buttocks area more tight and modest. Another thing with meeting Fadia and her shop is that she is sweetheart/ She welcomes you as if you were family, so warm and inviting. When you walk in you immediately see all her dresses, coats, shaws, clutches, and jewelry. Fadia has so many choices/suggestions if you need last minute additions to your outfit. At the end I had purchased some gorgeous iridescent earrings to go with my gown. I am in love with everything there and will definitely be back the next time I need alterations or maybe even to purchase a vintage piece! Elise read more

What a wonderful find! Fadia at Famiri Designs is wonderfully pleasant and a skilled designer and seamstress. I had been using another business for my alterations after loosing a significant amount of weight and was never happy with the results. I found FaMiri designs online and thought I would giver her a try after seeing all of her good reviews. I was not disappointed. I had her alter several pants, three dresses (one was a bridesmaid dress for an upcoming wedding), and several blouses. The fitting of each garment was exceptional. She has an eye for detail. She even altered my pants in a way that if I gain the weight back it will be an easy alteration to let the waist back out. The dresses fit me better than I could have hoped for. She also has some fun jewelry and handbags in her shop if you want to buy some accessories. Her location is a little hard to find. When you first pull up, her workshop is in a white building behind a home. Don't be turned off by the outside appearance. It is very comfortable inside with a private area to change into your clothing. The only down side is that she does not take credit card. But her expert craftsmanship is worth having to pull out the cash in advance. Not to mention that her pricing is beyond fair and reasonable. I would recommend her to anyone and will be a return customer as long as she is in business! read more

AWESOME stylist, seamstress, and so much more. You can shop in the large building that is her boutique behind her home. She has all kinds of dresses and accessories to choose from for any occasion. We found two dresses for my maid of honor - one was a little black dress we couldn't pass up on that looked great on her and was so affordable! Aand her maid of honor dress fit like a glove! We shopped everywhere and couldn't find what we wanted, we came to Famiri and found the perfect dress. Famiri also advised me the entire journey in shopping for my wedding dress - and she saved me from myself in telling me what will and won't work best for my body type! She does beautiful work, had beautiful ideas - executes them just as beautifully. I'll be going to Famiri for all occasions I want to look stunning! read more

Soooo happy with how my bridesmaid dress turned out! I was nervous trying to find a place that was reliable and would keep my dress safe in their hands. Upon meeting Fadia I instantly felt comfortable with her expertise in alterations. She was honest and explained her reasoning for the alterations. She gave me the quote for the alteration and said it was all right to look other places, but I was sold already! She's a designer and has earrings, necklaces, bracelets, handbags, veils, etc - every accessory a woman could need to go along with her dress! My daughter does everything last-minute, so when she needed her prom dress altered a week before prom, I thought we were sunk. I had used other alterations shops in the area and swore never again, so we decided to take a chance on FaMiri Designs. Fadia was amazing and not only hemmed the dress, but added darts and bra cups in record time. The alterations were perfect, the dress fit like a glove, and my daughter looked beautiful for her Junior Prom. Very nice lady with a great eye for taking something less than perfect and making it great. Went to her with a vintage dress that looked very dated and she transformed it into my dream wedding dress. Very upfront with what could and could not be done with the dress and prices reasonable for the work she did. Not to mention she is very fast. After I decided what I wanted done she went to work and finished it in less than a month, I'd say little over 2 weeks. Very please with the result and everyone loved my dress! read more

Fadia does absolutely amazing work! I had two dresses altered by her. One was a vintage dress that I picked up secondhand, another was a used designer piece that I bought online. I loved both dresses but neither fit me quite right. After taking them to Fadia they look like they were made for me. I could not be happier! It was in God's plan for me to find Fadia! When I called to make the appointment, she made me feel so comfortable, like I was able to trust her right away. The appointment was made to do alterations on my daughter's prom dress on a Friday and that following Monday she was calling to let me know it was completed. I could not believe it!
