Clean and bright and free of junk. Prices are great. I've found lots of nice things here over the years.

My sweetie took me here a while back. The store owner was friendly and attentive. However, I saw…read moreso much stuff in this little tiny store. It was clutters of stuff and we were the only customers there at the time. To be honest, some of the stuff there probably should be just thrown away like worn out shoes and books in a shed that probably has mildew on them. Each time I did find something to buy, the owner kept on checking on her phone for a similar item's price. Apparently, most prices here are not set and the owner decides once the customer asks. I saw some hats I liked in a box marked $2 each, she told me that only some of the hats were that price. I found a kid's sweater that was from the 1990s and showed wear, she wanted $10 for it because it was apparently designer. Seriously?!? Also my sweetie wanted to buy a doll for his mother for mother's day and again the store owner had to compare pricing for it online. She gave him a price but would not budge on the price, my sweetie and I debated about it...was it worth it? Could we find another collectible doll at a different thrift store for less? Well my sweetie ended up buying it. His mom loved it. But we both think there are better deals elsewhere. I also have a feeling that the owner here sizes people up to see by how they dress and act to determine the price she would sell the item to them. This small thrift store is hidden in the back behind other businesses. I get the impression that most items for sale here have been in the store for years. There is an awesome collection of vintage phones but who wants an old landline phone? There are not only worn out shoes, but clothing that has seen better days. The aisles are cluttered, narrow and cramped. It is difficult to walk through them. Also as there is no fitting rooms, there should have been at least a long mirror to see yourself while trying on clothing, but there was none. When you buy used clothing, you are taking a huge chance as clothing can have shrunk, have unraveled stitching, stains, alterations, cigarette or sweat smell, have holes and other issues- trying on clothing is the best way to examine clothing before purchase. There is no way to do that here. I would not even know where i could simply stand with a few chosen articles of clothing to try on over my own clothing here. As I said, my sweetie and I were the only customers in the store at the time. I get the impression as well that it does not get much business at least lately. And yet, her prices are generally high. I do not even know how a store like this one can stay in business!

The man working the store was really nice but the store is so tiny! You can't move throughout it…read moreand it's packed with really old over priced items. Wouldn't recommend it.

I drop off donations here ALL the time! The staff is super friendly, helpful, efficient, thorough…read more They will take most everything (just ask before) and can utilize it for either selling or giving to a needy source. Donation: You gotta go on WALNUT st, cross Stambaugh st. and swing around to the side they are accepting, do not block the parking garage or lots! Pull all the way up as you can and let them help you with their carriers or getting things out of your car- its top tier service! They rarely have limitations on items they do not accept, but if you can sort/categorize together, it is helpful for them. They also precisely audit and edit the supplies they are given and allocate impeccably, which is helpful for me to know at least. I feel really good when I donate here, like it is going somewhere much more than another selling platform, but employees or charities or whatever. Plus, the team/employees generously select items properly (unlike goodwill) and it all goes to Red Cross which I have been PERSONALLY funded by before. It's a win win for me, and HOPE or you as well. Inside, well...I've given exceptional items to resell here so I can attest to the quality of particulars, come and get some really cool shiz! Please donate here and check the place out for thrift buying...they have coupons and their charity source is not only reputable but extraordinary. I am so thankful for Savers across California, as it's helped me tremendously in so many ways.

Pros: Spacious. 2 floors…read more Good selection of books with a buy 4 get one free deal. Easy checkout with multiple self-checkout stations. Cons: No fitting rooms. Not the most affordable thrift. For example, I saw multiple women's dresses $15-20.

All of the reviews on the Salvation Army here are years old. All of them are pre-Covid. Today is…read moreApril 20 25 and there's a whole new game in town regarding Salvation Army. The good old days are GONE thanks to Covid. San Mateo County is particularly hard hit as far as any Salvation Army activity. There is severe reduction by any charity and that includes Goodwill and St. Vincent de Paul. Readers here probably know California has problems and people are leaving and therefore showing up at donation centers with beautiful stuff. The donation centers are going to be picky to the max so either you are going to be doing a lot of work on Craigslist or eBay to get rid of your stuff or you are going to see it go to ground fill by junk haulers and it's going to make you upset. Don't know how these organizations are supporting the new migrants that need to furnish theirnew homes. Guess they are getting debit cards and cash to go buy new stuff but your donation centers are not going to basically work with you and that includes Salvation Army. Learned the hard way when nobody wanted our beautiful stuff. Just be warned. Good luck!

When Pokemon was popular we gave them a bunch but we heard from an employee that the managers threw it in the trash because they thought it was demonic. How bad of people do you need to be to steal or throw away Christmas presents for poor kids???
