Replaced it at no charge. But today when they came to check out why my toilet sometimes backed up, they recommended replacing the old low-flush model with a newer toilet. I asked for a quote to include all parts and labor, and was given one. They pulled the toilet, snaked the line, and installed the new toilet. Then when I went to pay the invoice, they increased the amount by $70! He said he needed to install a new flange which raised the cost. I watched the process and understand that he needed a new flange to bring the level up to the tile level. But he never indicated this would cost an additional $70! I specifically asked for the total cost. And would have appreciated him telling me during the process that he was adding another 12% to the cost. Now I feel like he took advantage of us. Within less than an hour the commercial grade sump pump was not only installed, but JFK also cleaned the "pit," removing both water and gravel. By the time they finished and left there was no sign that anyone had been in the room, let alone replaced the sump pump, which also has a three-year warranty. Highly recommend them for any plumbing service.

A previous plumber wasted hours and failed completely, and another big franchise tried to price-gouge me with a vague, ridiculous estimate. From the start, this company provided a very fair and transparent upfront flat-rate price. The technician arrived exactly on time and assessed the situation professionally. The job turned out to be incredibly brutal, requiring a massive 150-foot heavy-duty snake and an extra helper. The team was completely transparent about the extra resources needed and provided a very reasonable adjusted rate for the additional manpower and equipment before proceeding. What blew me away was their incredible work ethic. Because the blockage was so stubborn, the job went significantly overtime. Yet, they completely honored our upfront agreement and didn't charge a single penny extra for the overtime hours. They worked tirelessly and with a great attitude until the drain was perfectly cleared. This company has earned a customer for life!

There were multiple issues that arose, that were addressed initially. The communication from the company was good especially during the active work period (almost borderline too much communication), but once the fees were paid, the communication seized. I tried to understand how they repatched my yard. My yard was a mess. It took me weeks to repair/repatch. They had to come back out to repatch my foundation which was leaking due to not having enough sealant in the initial repair. The technician who came to add sealant after the initial work, even stated that the product used (plastic piping) for my repair was not ideal (I was never told or relayed the differences in material strength or longevity, never given options). I expected a bit more from this company based on the recommendations that i was given.

The quoted price was very reasonable, and the job was completed within hours of them contacted me. The technician provided a detailed bill along with a written warranty that was easily understood. They came out and agreed it might be the toilet valve and flapper in both upstairs bathrooms, but also my tub needed to be recaulked. So they charged me $425 to replace both valves and "caulk my tub". This was the worst caulking job I have ever seen - I could have done a better job myself. They didn't even bother to remove the old caulk, they just recaulked over some of it and did a terrible job at that. See the attached photos. I asked for a receipt breaking down the labor and parts because that seemed incredibly high for what was done and they refused to provide one for over a week. They came out to "re-do" the caulking job and again did a terrible job. I was then told that they didn't really do caulking and that this was just a courtesy. Yet a courtesy that they charged me an arm and a leg for. Incredible. I again asked for a receipt and he said he would email me one and drive off. They also said my water pressure was probably just a city issue. I spoke to my immediate neighbors and their water pressure is fine. So it was clearly a plumbing issue. These guys are ridiculous. Did a terrible job and gouged me. [edit: STILL NO RECEIPT! $425 for two toilet valves and a terrible caulk job on part of my bathtub]

I solicited quotes from three companies to reline my 80+ year-old sewer line. One never delivered; Second quoted but was near impossible to get questions answered regarding the quote. Drain Guys quoted on the spot, and was extremely responsive regarding follow-up questions. The CIPP liner process is technically complex, and the team experienced some unforeseen complications. However, the skill, positive attitude, and perseverance of every team member when things got tough truly impressed me. The team worked very hard over several days, overcame major obstacles, and ultimately delivered a drain line that will hopefully last another 80 years. Despite the challenges, I never doubted I was in good hands with The Drain Guys and I would absolutely call them again. Special thanks to Adrian, Kevon, Oliver, Johnny, and Jay -- I appreciate you all! Chris

They were able to come out first thing the following morning to take a look at the situation, turned the water valves all the way on, and sent me a detailed quote while they were still there (unfortunately they initially sent it to a wrong number so someone has my personal data :/ ). Pricing was on the higher end of what I expected, and I was planning to get estimates from other companies that responded on Yelp to compare, so I let them know I would be in contact. Later that evening, I went back downstairs and noticed a leak coming from the main water valve, which was not leaking prior to the drain guys' visit. I immediately sent a message with a video via yelp, and the rep responded saying they would contact the plumber and get back to me. It's been almost 2 weeks and I still haven't heard back, which is interesting as they were so quick to respond when I was potentially giving them business, but ghosted me when I held them accountable for causing a leak. Thankfully, a plumber from another company that responded to my yelp project came by and was able to tighten the valve to stop the leaking. Turns out the drain guys plumber had loosened the entire pipe/valve when he turned the knob all the way on, so it was a simple fix but something that they should have looked out for in the moment. Had I waited for the drain guys to come back my basement would have been flooded. I'm utterly disappointed in their lack of accountability and communication, and have no trust in their services if they were able to let me down on such a small matter.
