This coach has a "create"…read moredisplay where you can customize your handbags/tags/etc. They didn't have a wide variety of items at this store but it was displayed nicely and the staff were very helpful. Unfortunately they had run out of black tags and I wanted to get a Chicago stamp. They only had 4-5 colors available. Black usually sells out quick apparently.

In this economy, when luxury handbags are unaffordable for most of the population, Coach is considered affordable luxury. While I really dislike how many of their products have the logo splashed all over, their leather bags are actually made really well. Don't totally sleep on them. They're at least worth a look and they aren't covered with the cringy signature C. I really love the travel backpack. It's well constructed and one of the best I've ever purchased. It'll be a favorite for a long time. I also love the skirt I bought. It is constructed so well and fits beautifully. It's fully lined and a classic style that will never go out of style. I'm done with fast fashion and this skirt isn't that. The store was packed with people but plenty of employees asked if I needed help.

I had a chance to stop by Graham Crackers in DeKalb and was happy to see that a good comic book…read morestore was finally back in the town where I was raised. It's been a while, and my last favorite shop for comics was Northern Lights, because of the great assistance that I would get at that location. Anybody can set books on a shelf, but it's the people in the store that make the difference. I get worried sometimes that I am going to walk into a strange setting when entering some comic shops, as some just seem to serve a certain group of regulars, almost like a town bar. This isn't the case with Graham Crackers. They have a wide selection and recommendations are all over the place. The people who work there also don't help you with their noses in the air. They don't care if you know a lot about comics or nothing. I do have some experience with collecting, but I had been out of that for a while. I was happy to get reintroduced to the genre with some new things that I probably would not have tried if it weren't for the assistance of Kevin... or maybe it was Kelvin (sorry if I got the name wrong). He showed me some great non DC/Marvel stuff that I am getting into on top of my standard favorites. They have a club thing also that allows you to get the comics you want saved for you each week. I used that years ago at Northern Lights and appreciate the option of the service. I can't really speak for their gaming services, but the people there seemed to be having a lot of fun doing it. If you are looking to get into comics for the first time, or are thinking about getting back into them, I highly recommend this place as it helps the transition without having any Simpon's-like "comic book guy" attitude. It's kid friendly and also in a nice location.

The staff was extremely helpful but Barnes and Nobles does not go beyond their catalog. Amazon.com includes many more titles which is unfortunate for this bricks and mortar store. I was amazed with the positive changes in the store. They are trying to fill niches that you will not find in other places any more. They still have many books. The store has added more board games and school supplies. They still carry CDs as well as vinyl records. The cafe is a great place to go for a snack or for lunch. I believe we still need places like Barnes and Nobles for the community it develops as well as the ability to check a book out before you buy it.
