I typically go for their seasonal items, to get cheap home decorations and play items. It's a dollar store, let's face it- the items aren't probably going to last very long, but also you didn't pay very much for it. I have to get greeting cards there, because after somebody looks like a greeting card once, but usually recycled. I get outdoor play items like bubbles and sidewalk chalk, as thy are typically more reasonable than you're even going to find at Walmart.

I asked her if she could call someone else to a register, and she said the only other person was at lunch. There was another associate less than 20 feet away. I asked, "Could you call a manager to help check people out?" The associate was able to hear me, came over, and started checking people out. Come to find out she was the manager, and that other lady could have asked her at any time to help check people out, she just chose not to.

It is always well stocked with everything. Staff seem to be ever changing but they are always very nice to interact with...I have noticed they are outside smoking frequently together and putting away deliveries together. This probably is a great teamwork approach and builds team rapport. This however frequently seems to cause customers to wait for a cashier to checkout the customer. There is a self checkout but it's almost always out of order or they do not have it turned on and operating. I love the deals on the app and the ability to order ahead would be nice but this location frequently has this option shutoff.

As I approached the entrance area another worker exited from behind the register area and looked me in the eye and walked off. There was no one else behind the register to make the sale transaction. I waited then put my things on the counter and left. I suppose they can pick and choose with whom they wish to make a sale. I will drive 20 miles to do business with Walmart before I return to a sloppy dollar general.
