I typically go for their seasonal items, to get cheap home decorations and play items. It's a dollar store, let's face it- the items aren't probably going to last very long, but also you didn't pay very much for it. I have to get greeting cards there, because after somebody looks like a greeting card once, but usually recycled. I get outdoor play items like bubbles and sidewalk chalk, as thy are typically more reasonable than you're even going to find at Walmart.

After the transaction failed, this employee told lady in line behind me (a complete stranger) that she needed to help me (a grown man). Everyone in line was shocked. He knew I was not pleased. After I paid Roger told everyone in line I was having a bad day. He was 100% correct, due to his lack of professionalism. If Dollar Tree wants to maximize Roger's abilities, they need to find him a role that never interacts with paying customers ever again. The longer he man's a cash register, the more business they will lose.

I love that this location is close to my home. They have groceries and household items. There are…read morenot a lot of clothing items available for purchase. It is always well stocked with everything. Staff seem to be ever changing but they are always very nice to interact with...I have noticed they are outside smoking frequently together and putting away deliveries together. This probably is a great teamwork approach and builds team rapport. This however frequently seems to cause customers to wait for a cashier to checkout the customer. There is a self checkout but it's almost always out of order or they do not have it turned on and operating. I love the deals on the app and the ability to order ahead would be nice but this location frequently has this option shutoff.

As I approached the entrance area another worker exited from behind the register area and looked me in the eye and walked off. There was no one else behind the register to make the sale transaction. I waited then put my things on the counter and left. I suppose they can pick and choose with whom they wish to make a sale. I will drive 20 miles to do business with Walmart before I return to a sloppy dollar general.
