I've always enjoyed Kirkland's - Both shopping in my local store and being able to shop online. My…read morelocal Kirkland's was staffed by friendly and helpful employees, was always neat and filled with wonderful merchandise. I enjoyed being able to look online at what they had in stock and their seasonal items. Sometimes if it wasn't in stock, being able to order online assured them a sale with me. I miss that. Kirkland's was a 5 star business; not anymore. For whatever reason Kirkland's decided in the last several months to discontinue online sales. Bad move but let's be honest corporate pencil pushers aren't always known for understanding their customer base. Worse? Their new website still claims, several months later, to be a 'work in progress'. Another sign whomever is running Kirkland's is grossly overpaid and under performing. I no longer drive so shopping online is more important than ever for me. And to not even be able to see what they have in my local Kirkland's? The bad decisions by Kirkland's executives just keep stacking up. I suppose considering the economy that I should thank the under performing bosses for helping me save money by limiting my shopping at Kirkland's to maybe once or twice a year.

Never been a frequent customer of Dillards .. all the years that I have either... Lived in…read moreFlorida... or... visited Florida... Dillards has never been on the top of my shopping list. There CAN be some deals. Sometimes. Many times there are no deals. Housewares, Linens, Luggage, Tableware are all overpriced and sitting at the top of that range that should be charged for these items. You can get many comparable and exact same items elsewhere for much cheaper. Shoes? Very well priced especially for their sale racks. Handbags? Some cute some very well priced and some in the stratosphere. Dillards actually caries real Luis Vuitton handbags and luggage but.... I am not an LV consumer. Clothes... great when there are sales. You have to watch for deals, coupons and price slashing before during and after holidays. I was just recently very successful with the purchase of a makeup bag that is perfect for my trip coming up. Normally I wouldn't pay $48.00 actually $52.00 for a makeup bag but I believe I will keep this one for quite some time. The lady that helped me in the cosmetics section kept me in her "sights" while I was shopping around the entire store... she didn't want to miss getting credit for my purchase. I liked her though... we had a laugh or two.
