I have shopped at many Walmart locations, and this store has consistently been one of the most…read moredifficult. The weekday experience is already poor, and I avoid it entirely on weekends. Personal shoppers often dominate the aisles. They block entire walkways, rarely smile or say "excuse me," and can become irritated when asked for help locating an item. Many also gather near the employee entrance used for curbside pickup, which makes that part of the grocery department hard for customers to pass through. Checkout is another regular problem. Too few staffed registers are open, so lines are extremely long. Self-checkout is usually backed up as far as the freezer section. The store also feels disorganized and unclean, and the shopping carts are frequently damaged or hard to use. I leave disappointed after nearly every visit and hope management will address staffing, aisle congestion, cleanliness, and cart condition.

The prices are a bit lower from where we came from in Central Illinois. There are many associates to ask for help. My only concern. Some of the associates only speak Spanish. Since I don't speak Spanish, it presents a bit of an obstacle. But not something a picture can't solve instead of a spoken word. I really like this Walmart. Thank you for providing a great shopping experience. I can't understand why it gets many low star reviews.

I returned a $5 item today within the 30 day window. It was a hat, never used with the tags still on it. The manager reported she wouldn't follow the corporate policy because there was former management issues there and therefore I needed to take it back to the store I bought it from which was 20 miles away. I was out of town and luckily, passed a nearby Dollar General appr. 3 miles away, which returned my merchandise, without a problem. They definitely need new management again as there as obviously still management problems here. I am contacting corporate to provide the names of both stores so that hopefully it wont happen to anyone else.

Or go full-blown PuertoRican and get Roast pork with mojo (pernil con mojito), yellow rice (arroz amarillo), stewed red beans with pumpkin (habichuelas rojas con calabaza), and sweet plantains (maduros). Another good one is Mofongo. This is a big ball of mashed garlic green plantains and you can top it off with your choice of meat. The best way to eat Mofongo is by topping it with a big ladle full of Carne Guisada (beef stew) or Bistec encebollado (Steak and onions - and ask them to scoop up the pan juices from the bottom to put on your mofongo too!). If you have never tried Latin food, or you have but were never really impressed by it, go here. If you are unfamiliar with the menu and don't know how to order, then try one of my recommendations. I feel very fortunate that I live closer to this one as opposed to all the other Publix in my area. I've gone to a couple other Publix stores just to satisfy my curiosity to see if this chef at this store is one of a kind or if Publix was fortunate enough to find more qualified sushi chefs. And it would seem the store in the Shores us the award winner. I don't usually buy sushi at grocery stores simply because, as hard as they might try, the person that makes it doesn't know how. In this case, the sushi chef is exactly that. There is a restaurant in the plaza this Publix anchors. I used to get sushi from this restaurant when the urge hit. But since Publix was wise enough to hire this professional I no longer frequent the restaurant. That and the last soft shell crab roll I got there was spoiled. I can not testify as to the freshness of the seafood in the sushi at Publix, but I can say the look and taste of the seafood offerings are good. The sushi is excellent. I would compare it to any sushi restaurant in Ocala. Although limited in selection, if you have a sushi craving and live within a 20-mile radius, I highly recommend this Publix.
