I hadn't been to an Ollie's since I was in Nashville nearly two summers ago. This store has plenty of parking. I had no problem pulling into a spot fairly close to the entrance and walking in. You can score some cool deals here. It depends on what you are looking for and need. I was here before Easter. There was some good deals on candy and chocolate. I'm sure that it would have been even cheaper after the holiday. I spent a lot of time in the housewares sections. Reusable straws. Frying pans. Tongs. Silicone cookie cutters. Pretty much everything was there. The quality is decent for what you are paying for. I liked some of the quirky items like Yummy Can Bacon where you can cook bacon strips in your microwave. I also liked an LED soap dispenser to make washing your hands more enjoyable. You can save a lot on food. Cereal was cheap with brands like General Mills. I saw a lot of canned items, such as soup and peas. There was a spill in an aisle. A female staffer was sweeping a powdered detergent mess. It did smell nice as I walked by it. Staff are everywhere, but they left shoppers alone. Nice! The book section was cool. Phone accessories were next to it. It was cool seeing wireless chargers and phone mounts for your car. I will always have a soft spot for steering wheel covers at Ollie's. I got one at an Ollie's in Nashville and still use it. It was nice seeing a variety of them at this store. If you are on a budget and like deals on pretty much everything under the sun, you want to come here. It's best to sign up for a free Ollie's Army account. This store was my introduction to the chain and Kohl's cash. Last month, my original plan was to stay in Buffalo. I changed my mind and ended up in Niagara Falls for the first time. However, I had placed an order for pickup at this store, to stroll down memory lane and take advantage of a sale on a pair of Vans sneakers. Sure, I could have found a closer Kohl's, but I wanted to return to where my love for this chain started. My drive was pleasant after work on a Monday evening. It felt the same. I pulled into the parking lot, and was happy to see this store was still alive and kicking. The difference was that Sephora wasn't a part of this Kohl's back then. It was my first time picking up an order here, which was also new to me at this store. I walked in and noticed how clean it was. Spring and gardening merchandise greeted me. It was cheerful and inviting. There were signs pointing me to the washroom and the self-pickup order area. The former seemed like a good idea. The powder area (seems so dated as a term, but it's what I'm going to call it) was pretty, with a flower arrangement in front of a large mirror. The women's washroom was nicely maintained. It was clean. No complaints. I headed over to the self-pickup order area. The process is to find your e-mail indicating that your Kohl's order is ready. You click a link in the message and follow the steps where you say that you're at the store. You then get a pickup spot number to fetch your order. Mine was 265. It clearly had my name labelled on the paper bag with handles. I was happy. I didn't buy anything on top of my pickup order. I did enjoy browsing around to check out fashion trends. I am more of a classic person when it comes to clothing. However, I saw shorter jackets with large pockets being trendy. I probably have a couple of jackets at home that I can pull out and look equally as trendy for a brief moment... haha! I make it a habit to check out purses. I liked everything from floral prints, to heart-shaped purses. The bedroom decor section was a lot of fun. I liked seeing clouds and rainbows as neat pieces. There was a rainbow abacus that was cool, but was sort of broken. I fixed it by placing the metal arc back into a socket in the wooden base. If it weren't that messed up, I would have bought it because it was cool and geeky. It was wonderful returning to this store. I am pleased that it's still standing. It was great shopping here again. They're organized by color and there's several aisles of those too. We came for table lamps, and even those are organized by color. Heads up that most of the lamps are sold as "mix and match", meaning the lamp and the shade are sold separately. But I like the flexibility this offers. There's lots of shades to choose from, again organized by color. The prices for the items we looked at seemed fair. The store was very clean and well organized, making shopping a breeze. I highly recommend coming in if you're looking to decorate your home, patio, or garden.

We went back to the same cashier that cashed me out the 1st time & she would NOT honor the 15% off since she already scanned it- even though I never left the front of the store & my husband was clearly with me. I understand the code may not have worked a 2nd time but she could have made an exception bc the 15% wouldve worked if I had put all items in the same transaction. My husband then asked her if theres a military discount to which she wasnt not thrilled about so I said YES, Its 10% off bc we have used it at that location before. He went show his military ID but of course he accidentally left it in his cammies. (His fault-he shouldve had it with him) however the cashier still shouldve applied the 10% to honor the veteran discount anyways. He has photos of his id & clear proof of his service. Wasnt good enough. So I said actually we wont be purchasing this then- my husband was kind enough to take back both heavy chair boxes to the section so that the cashier didnt have to carry them. We were completely unsatisfied with our interaction. Its not about the $20 we wouldve saved it was about the cashier's unfriendlyness & clear annoyance to be bothered by us late at night toward close. She should've made it right even if it meant calling a manager. Ive worked retail for years- id never question if someone was a vet or deny them their 10% if they forgot their card out of respect. People don't l typically lie about being a US service member over a few bucks. And really, the 15% shouldve been honored considering I never left the store and the transaction couldve been 1... I didnt realize he wanted to buy more items especially close to $200. I filled out the survey on the bottom of the receipt and it only allows me to type 1200 characters so I couldnt even tell the whole story. So thats why im leaving this review on yelp.
