As irony would have it, the "sock promised land" was I my backyard all the time, where I don't need to run my socks thin to get there. Man, there's so many different types to choose from: Thorlo, Smartwool, Woolrich, Wigwam.... Crew cut, ankle, hiker, worker, athletic.... Wool, polyester, acrylic, polypropylene... The list goes on and on. Once you navigated the painstakingly difficult process to choose the right ones for your personal mud hole stompers, get them clad up in that merino wool and take the Lockport Outdoor Store up on their offer to travel a 1,000 miles to try to find a store like theirs, but just prepared to be disappointed when you don't.

Really adorable store that's great for girls and also good for kids and men as well because they have sections for both of those things - Rue kids and Rue men, or something. I like shopping here but apparently nobody else in Lockport does because it's not on Yelp yet. Or maybe Lockport isn't very Yelpy or something. In any case, it's one of Barbies favourite stores - although this particular location, she hasn't visited. I've been there but she has never been, because she has never set foot in Lockport before. If you ask me they've probably messed up again. Yelp, that is. The stock is still the same and the prices are still dirt cheap which is excellent. Highly recommend giving it a try if you're looking for a new place to find a shoe selection in Lockport. Online is one thing but you can't try them on online, but you can in here.
