The manager came out before they opened to make sure they knew why we were there, and let us know they had enough for everyone currently in line. Although we eventually received a replacement gift card, the process took far longer than it should have. It was a simple issue that became unnecessarily frustrating because of the poor customer service and lack of urgency. We also felt that we were treated differently because of our race, which made the experience even more upsetting. Overall, Marilyn's behavior was unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable. I expect better customer service from JCPenney, and I hope management addresses this so other customers are treated with the respect they deserve.

"CAN I GET SOME KOHLS CASH?!"…read more That's the phrase you'll hear echoing from our family every time we step foot into Kohl's -- and for good reason. This place has become a go-to destination for clothing, toys, and home accessories, all wrapped into one big retail win. Kohl's has evolved over the years, and the recent updates have made shopping even easier. Think TJ Maxx or Marshalls-style checkout lanes lined with snacks and impulse-buy treasures (yes, I've grabbed a candle or two I didn't need), and a self-checkout area that makes things super quick when you've got a toddler in tow. Pro Tip: We make a beeline straight to the kids section the moment we walk in. That's where the gold is: clearance racks of affordable, good-quality clothes for our son, plus some fun toys tucked in if you hunt around. Beyond kids' clothes, the home section is massive -- from cozy throws and stylish shower curtains to small kitchen appliances that make you feel like a pro chef. And don't sleep on the men's and women's clothing either. If you find your size, the deals can be ridiculously good. What really seals the deal? The Kohl's app. It's one of our favorites -- simple, organized, and full of coupons, discounts, and yes... Kohl's Cash. You'll usually earn $10 for every $50 spent, and it stacks up fast. Combine that with their store credit card perks and app-exclusive deals, and you've got a powerful formula for savings. Bonus points for curbside pickup and helpful staff who are always quick with a smile and happy to assist. The store is big, well-stocked, and we almost always leave with a bag (or three) and a smile. So next time you're headed to Kohl's... Just yell it with me: "CAN I GET SOME KOHLS CASH?!" Because trust me, you will -- and you'll be glad you did.
