I just moved to the area and my child doesn't have a dentist yet. Unfortunately he chipped a tooth so I came across this dentist because they say on their website they offer emergency care. However when they called they said they only way for me to get an appointment would be to make a appointment for a cleaning and full exam. Unfortunately it hasn't quite been six months since his last exam so I wasn't sure if my insurance would cover the cleaning yet. When I described the problem again they told me if I didn't do the cleaning I couldn't get an appointment until February. Obviously with a chipped tooth you shouldn't wait that long to receive any care--and honestly their staff should be telling people that so that the child's tooth doesn't get more damaged. I'm totally fine if they just didn't have an opening (and in fact we ended up finding a really nice office). However, I just think they should remove the claim from their website that they do emergency dental care because based on my conversation with them they basically don't.

Waiting room is full of actually fun things for kids to do while waiting, beyond the average stuff. Dr. Ball was very helpful in explaining what we needed to do to care for our toddler's teeth, very personable, patient, and gentle with our little one. Front desk staff very nice too. Looking forward to going back.

I love the front desk staff and my daughter saw Dr. Neel for over a decade. We always thought Dr…read more Neel was very thorough but now that she is older and has received other opinions, my thoughts are a bit different. At her first adult dental appointment, they asked why she had never received any orthodontic care and said she needed to see an orthodontist ASAP. Severe overbite and significant overcrowding that had been getting worse over the course of several years. She is now almost 20 and multiple doctors have told us that she needs 1-2 years of braces and corrective jaw surgery to fix her mouth. I'm not sure why this was overlooked since we asked Dr. Neel several times if she would ever need braces from the time she was little and he always said no. When she was older, we asked about certain things that were abnormal with her teeth/bite and he told us multiple times that there was nothing wrong. I wish he had referred us to an orthodontist while she was under his care so we could have dealt with this earlier. We feel a bit confused on why this issue was never addressed and why this was able to go untreated for so long.

Their…read moreoffice is in a very convenient location for me- close to work, free parking and I can run errands in the same location before or after an appointment. I arrived 10 mins early as requested to complete paperwork and afterward was almost immediately taken back to get started on x-rays. After the x-rays I only spent about 7 mins waiting for the Dr. and the dental hygienist brought me a pile of magazines to leaf through while I waited, which was very thoughtful. The initial appointment was an exam only, I'll have to go back for a cleaning, and while I was initially disappointed I now appreciate that approach. The Dr. spent time on both a thyroid and oral cancer screening (which I can't recall any dentist doing for me before), explained what she found during the exam and showed me her findings both on my x-rays and in photos she took of my teeth. It was the most individualized breakdown of my personal physiology and how that impacts my dental health that I've ever had, instead of the standard "gingivitis bad" speech you usually get at the dentist. They did give me info on tooth whitening and tooth grinding solutions, but I didn't feel pressured to spend any extra money. I was nervous about the exam because my last 3 dental experiences (all with different dentists) had been pretty negative in the customer service and quality of care arenas, but both the Dr and hygienist Amanda were sensitive to my nerves and very nice and easy to talk to. -Katheryn Anderson
