I found Fame Auto on Yelp where I usually go to find a new contractor. I tend to search for someone with tons of 5 star reviews but there was not many. I got a quote and the price was so reasonable I couldn't pass up the chance to finally rid myself Of the dreaded check engine light. I got the service done and Fareed even drove with me to pick up cash to pay him, he was totally cool and trusted me which you cannot find anywhere most days. I have had no CIL since and now I am going back for brakes, alignment and other things after I barely hit the inside of the driveway curb and knocked off The alignment. I totally trust in the abilities, the price and most of all, the integrity that you don't find anywhere else. I will plan probably come back every time. Farid was amazing at quoting me, quickly responding to me questions, and being patient. I asked him to paint an new bumper for my car, which is OEM yellow color. Despite of him being really nice, however, the job was poorly executed. I paid them and the color of the new bumper was significantly mismatched. While I was really disappointed, Farid told me that the color would slowly change after it sits in the sun for couple of months. And it HAS BEEN a year. No signs of changing at ALL. He said he would repainted it, but STILL CHARGING a labor fee!!! What?! They do not back up their work, do NOT come here for paint jobs. read more

I came here for the first time since the shop I was going for a couple of years to before got a new guy who isn't really trustworthy. I'm really glad I did! Farid runs the place and he was exceptionally nice and fair. I brought my 2013 Prius in for an oil change and an engine check (the light turned on yesterday). Farid responded to my yelp inquiry on quotes very quickly, and his prices were extremely fair (he didn't charge me for an engine inspection, which turned out to be an evap code that required no serious repairs, but his honesty was really cool). Farid went above and beyond, and helped me change out the air filter (it was filthy) and even took my car out for a test drive to check the alignment (he doesn't do alignment services at his shop but wanted to test if I needed alignment or not). He even added air in my tires, which was very cool of him to do. It came out to be way less than I thought it would be for the air filter and oil and oil filter change, plus the engine inspection. He didn't charge to check the engine when every other shop has quoted $65-75 for just an inspection. I'm taking my car in to replace the spark plugs Tuesday. Changed my oil in 15 Mins and inspected the breaks, fluids and even spark plugs. I have 3 old cars, 2000, 2002 & 2004. I started having problem with 2004 Lexus that needed to jump to start almost every morning. I've gone to 5 different auto repair shops, but none of them could fix the problem! Farid fixed it by replacing an alternator, motor for power door lock and noise from A/C vent. He also recommended to change oil with synthetic oil-being an old car. He always explained what is needed to be done with patience, and charge was very reasonable. What else would you ask for?
