Love love love this pumpkin patch! My family and I finally had the chance to visit this year, after hearing about it last year and we couldn't wait to check it out. I love that the space is ample and all of the props. There are activities for the whole family, and the staff's customer service is excellent and friendly! Thank you Fallstivities for a great time!

Weekdays they have a deal great for kids, $25 per child for unlimited playtime in the bounce houses, honestly you can't find that type of deal anywhere else and with multiple kids buying tickets can get very expensive. Along with the variety of bounce houses they have tons of photo ops and amazing pumpkin patch employees that will help you take pictures, shoutout to Zay for all his help, he took THE CUTEST pictures of me, I couldn't be happier

Now they want kindness when they didn't show me any.

Customer service 0/10. Do I have sympathy for them because they were vandalized? Yes. However, the owner did not apologize that they were closed and she was very rude. I explained to her that she should post it on Instagram to let customers know and she just said THANK YOU THANK YOU. She knew I was right though because a few minutes after she did post on Instagram that they were closed and that they had known since the morning. She could've just said sorry for the inconvenience and that she would post on Instagram to not ruin other kids and parents day but nope. Instead she was rude and dismissive. That's okay I let some mom groups know of the customer service this place has. Go to the pa patch at lakewood mall or theres a smaller one in downey with very nice people!!

My family and I LOVE this pumpkin patch! There are so many jumpers and things to do! We have a 6 year old who loves jumpers and a 1 year old who enjoys the baby playpen area! There's something to do for everyone! They owner is amazing and she also hosts a sensory hour every Sunday for kids who are sensitive to the loud crowds and noises and can come 1 hour before opening to enjoy the pumpkin patch without the crowds. 10/10 highly recommended!

Scooby doo photo op - plain asphalt flooring though :/

It was ok. Not a lot of pumpkins and they were very expensive. Ambience was mid. But there were a lot of bounce houses so that made the kids happy. I'll probably pick a different spot next year.

    Inflatable jumpers

My kids had a great time at the Pumkin patch! They couldn't get enough of the inflatable jumpers and had smiles the whole time!

Fun, friendly and family! My niece had a fun time, playing in the jumpers! You can take family photos with the pumpkin

She's obsessed with trains and in her full cowgirl era, so this place was absolutely perfect for her 3rd birthday. With the crazy weather we've had recently, this worried mama was a bundle of nerves thinking we were going to get rained out. But Jeff... wow. He went above and beyond. Even though the park was technically closed, he monitored the rain for us, kept checking on "The Blue House," took our calls, and genuinely tried to ease my stress. For that alone, THANK YOU. On the big day (11/22), Jeff even let us arrive earlier than usual to set up. And of course... it sprinkled! He immediately ran over to our area to make sure we were okay, to check if we needed to move anything, and to reassure us that things were still a go. Again... THANK YOU. Thankfully, the rain passed quickly and everything went smoothly afterward. Our guests absolutely fell in love with the place. And because I've read some of the other reviews, I want to clarify a couple of things: * Yes, it can be tricky to find, but that's not El Dorado Frontier's fault. They're private owners operating inside a public park. * This is a small, family-owned location. We've been coming here for 2.5 years, and we've watched them grow. You simply can't compare a year-round, family-run attraction to a one-month seasonal pop-up in a parking lot. Completely different worlds. We genuinely love this place, but more importantly... our daughter loves it. The staff is kind, patient, and truly invested in making moments special. I can't rave about them enough, and we are so grateful for everything they did to help make our baby girl's birthday the perfect day.

First time we went in the late afternoon hoping to stay till the lights came on, and it was completely dead. The little rides were very expensive and only lasted 2 minutes average. We asked if we could save the rest of the tickets to ride the train at night since we were not aware that they closed in between, and also charged a SEPARATE entrance fee. They told us yes, we can come back any time and the tickets are good for a year. We come back a couple days later for the night time one, it's 5pm and NO ONE is in the park. They told us that our tickets were not eligible for the train ride at night. What??! After their own employee told us to come back later, they now deny us use of these tickets, totally ruined our night made our son cry. Shame on you!! And the excuse for not being eligible for the train ride, that it was sold out. Total BS because literally again NO ONE was in the park. No wonder the event is failing.

But sometimes you just gotta leap headfirst into an adventure and hope for the best! The Midsummer Scream Halloween & Horror Convention is held yearly at the Long Beach Convention Center for one weekend in August. Friday it's from 6PM-10PM, Saturday is from 11AM-7PM, and Sunday is from 11AM-6PM. Friday tickets are $40, Saturday tickets are $57, and Sunday tickets are $52. If you're not scared to spend, you can get a weekend pass for $73. If you're truly fearless, the VIP Gold Bat Pass is $199 that gives you priority access to admission (you can enter at 10AM), priority entry for panels/presentations/attractions, commemorative lanyard/badge & pin, and admission to the Saturday night party. We bought tickets for Sunday as it was the only thing not sold out. We arrived at the convention center around 9:40AM and it was packed from all sides! There are two main entrances on both sides of the center, so it really doesn't matter which side you choose. Both sides are split into multiple general admission lines. They passed out free tote bags and there were some people in horror costumes to take pictures with. Speaking of which, if you ever wanted to let your freak flag fly high and go all out dressing up, you couldn't have picked a better place! Loads of fans came dressed up in costumes and make-up - if you think you're overdoing it, you're not! Once the doors opened, the lines were quick to be guided inside (unless you have a bag, in which case security had to clear you). The ground floor had some photo ops and some food vendors. The main convention floor is below but wheelchair accessible (lots of disabled fans were present). They had a map of the area, but honestly unless you're there for a specific thing or person, just roam around! Horror and Halloween fans galore! It gets more crowded the later it gets, so the early fan gets the worm! The Hall of Shadows is its own section and features tons of mini haunted attractions like mazes, houses, and photo-ops. Very low-light and plenty of fog machines so watch where you're going! The Screaming Room showcases short films from around the world. The Black Cat Lounge is filled with cats to pet, cuddle or adopt. Paranormal Pixie's Pumpkin Patch is a gore-free and scare-free kid corner area with performances, book readings, coloring, and other child-friendly activities. Speaking of which, children 10 and under get free general admission to the convention with a paid adult guardian (2 free kids max per adult). The show floor is the biggest area and completely covered with vendors, celebrity booths, horror-themed coffee & treats, and much much more. If you're looking for make-up, they got it. If you're looking for cheap movies to buy, they got it. If you're looking for clothes/costumes/merch, they got it. You'll basically find anything and everything horror/Halloween related here, so make sure to get your steps in! There are also several photo-ops in every crevice and corner, so remember to charge your phone or bring your fancy cameras! We tried the Gorchata (horchata latte with pumpkin cold foam) from Coffinated Coffee, a churro cheesecake from Lunas Sweets and Treats, and a lemonade from a random stand. There are some food trucks out back and plenty of restaurants in the immediate area if you want actual food. We hit up every booth that had a spin wheel for free prizes like free/discounted tickets for Haunted Hayride, Magic of the Jack O'Lanterns, Evil Dead in concert, Street Food Cinema, and stickers/candy. Movie studios and theme parks had their own special photo-ops. Overall we had a blast for our first time at Midsummer Scream! Lots of things to see and do, lots of nice horror fans to interact with, lots of money to spend if you're not careful! Probably the biggest/only downside is that there are literally no places to sit, so be prepared to be on your feet all day! We saw some tables out back near the food truck area, but we were on our way to exit anyways. There's plenty of parking lots/garages in the area for different prices so don't stress over it (just remember where you parked though). We'd love to come back, but maybe next year we'll spring for the weekend passes so we can take our time and strategize better.

You can cancel or postpone deliveries, up until the day before; there are no membership or delivery fees. I'm usually up late, so it doesn't matter to me if they deliver late at night. It also helps if you give them a code to your building or a phone number they can call you at, so they can get in; the same way you give it to Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods, Doordash, etc.. I'm happy with the service and food. I recently tried the Corned Beef, from the Cream Co. Meats, along with the potatoes and parsley and really liked it. Photo below. The gravy was from Whole Foods. I also tried the Alexandre vanilla yogurt with the fresh blueberries and granola I added to my delivery and really like that for breakfast. I liked the blueberries from Farm Fresh, better than the blueberries, imported from Peru, that I got at Whole Foods the same week. The food tastes great and I get to eat healthy, while supporting local farmers to the Los Angeles area and/or California with the same money I use to buy groceries elsewhere. Corned Beef & Potatoes To make the corned beef: remove corned beef from the package and brine. Follow directions on the packaging to cover it in cold water in a large pot, bring to a boil, cover, simmer/cook on low heat for about 3 hours and 20 minutes. Not on the directions: I removed the meat from the water, placed it on a piece of aluminum foil and baked it in the oven/toaster oven for 12-15 minutes at 425 to crisp the top. Removed it from the oven, let it sit for a few minutes to cool, before slicing. While it was baking in the oven, removed any bits from the meat water, then boiled the potatoes in the water and made the gravy. Steak, Mashed Potatoes & Broccoli Peel about 3 large potatoes, cut into chunks, bring water to boil, add the potatoes and cook for 20 minutes, drain, put back into the pot, mash with 1 1/4-1/2 stick of butter, add a little milk, stir until mashed. Bring some water to a boil in a shallow pan, add the broccoli, cook for about 4-5 minutes, drain. Let the steak sit at room temp for about 15 min. Mix some softened butter with slices of fresh garlic, heat the pan on medium high heat, add some oil, cook the steak for about 3 min one side, then turn over to cook for another 2 min, add the softened butter w/garlic mixture, fresh rosemary, spoon the melted butter over it, remove the meat from the pan, serve with some of the juice spooned over it. Chicken, Rice & Lettuce Spread the Peruvian Pollo A La Brasa Seasoning Sauce and spread it over the chicken thighs. Let sit in the fridge for 30 min to a few hours. Line a baking pan with aluminum and spread a little olive oil on it. Place the chicken on the pan. I add a little olive oil to the tops of the chicken, but don't have to. Bake at 400 degrees for about 40 minutes. Serve with rice & salad and spoon some of the pan juice over the meat. Both Peruvian Sauce and Sweetwater Creek chicken from Farm Fresh to You. Rinse 1 1/2 cups of the rice until the water runs clear. Fill a pot with a about 2 1/4 cups of water, add the rice, add a little olive oil, bring rice to boil, stir, turn to low heat and cover. Cook for 10 min. Then turn the heat off, stir, and cook for another 10 minutes. The residual heat should cook it without leaving water, but if there is still a bit of water, turn heat to low. Fluff rice with fork, remove from stove, let it stand still without cover for 5-10 min. Butter optional. True Origin Sushi Rice and Vital Farms butter from Farm Fresh to You. Chopped or sliced lettuce. Nunes Company Romaine lettuce from Farm Fresh to You. Steak Diane Let the 1 large steak or two smaller steaks sit at room temperature for about 10-15 min. Heat up a frying pan med high heat, add a bit of oil, cook the steak/s for a few minutes each side, remove them to a plate while you get on with cooking everything else, add about 1 tablespoon of butter with 2 sliced garlic to the pan, cook for about 2 min, try not to let the butter and garlic burn, then add about 1 package of sliced Shitake mushrooms and 1.5 tablespoons of butter, stir and cook for about 3-4 minutes, turn the heat lower, add a little bit of white wine, Cognac, etc. and let the alcohol cook off for about 2 minutes (don't let the house catch fire doing this), add about 1/2 cup of beef broth, a tiny bit of mustard, little bit of Worcestershire sauce and about 1/2-2/3 cup of heavy cream, stir, bring to a boil, turn to low heat and let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes to thicken it, add the steak back into the pan and some fresh thyme. Cook for about 3-4 more minutes, then serve with potatoes, rice, etc..

I later received an email saying my box had shipped, and noticed a charge on my account for something I never ordered. But I thought $10 for a food truck bowl was too pricey. (Spotted: Thurs Lunchtime outside of work near Culver City. La Cienega/Blackweider Rd)

Pico House has an amazingly unique concept, and I hope it starts to get some hype. What we have…read morehere is some HIGH quality meats, grains, and other fantastic ingredients you'll find in each of their bowls. I had the short rib bowl and was absolutely delicious. The meat was perfectly smoked tasting like bacon while all the rest of the ingredients extremely complimented each other. You can really tell that each person on this truck takes a lot of pride in what they're cookin, and that's clear based on the product that they're serving. Before enjoying my bowl, I was fortunate enough to try their onion rings. I gotta be honest, before receiving them I was expecting a standard onion ring. After the first bite I've already declared these as some of the BEST onion rings I've ever had. The trick is they pickle the onions first. It's so simple, but so genius. Unlike anything at a fast food joint, these o-rings are pretty light and not greasy at all. The dip that came alongside was also amazing (and orgasmic), to say the least. It's similar to a sour cream with other flavors. I'm not sure exactly what was in it, but I had to take it home, but actually didn't, due to being too busy dipping my finger in it to finish the rest. Make sure to try their desserts too as they have a pastry chef on the truck! The Pink Lemonade Cream Puffs seem to be their signature, but unfortunately they weren't on the menu during the time of my visit. I did however try the Stumptown Tiramisu and PB&J cakes. Both are succulent, moist, and a must try. Pico House is a great option for lunch and dinner that's not only healthy, but also delicious. Office Managers or Event Planners, I highly recommend getting these guys in for some catering.
