An incredible Oasis in the middle of a sea of cheap student take-aways, buffets and pubs. A fantastic little music venue. A great terrace. The food is marvellous, the drinks range wide enough.
It's as if someone airlifted a bar from the northern quarter and dropped it in the middle of fallowfield for my convenience. Another amazing thing about this place is most non-students won't venture here because it's nicely tucked away, hidden behind the hullabaloo of wilmslow road. Others will probably be put off by its awkward location at the end of a road full of terraced student houses. But if you can look past the studenty atmosphere you'll realise that actually a lot of the punters are either older students or local young professionals.
I just love the decor and layout of the whole place. From the small intimate dining/cafe/bar area downstairs, to the live music bar and terrace upstairs. It's a real hidden gem of fallowfield. I've been coming to live music nights here for a while and discovered Glass Tides (my favourite Manchester band) here. So the place holds a special place in my heart. Love it and so will you. So check out the website and see you on the wednesday open mic night in the near future :) read more
