We had a scramble format and I was really pleased with the course and overall outing experience. The clubhouses are very nice. David's grill seems like a great place to go get dinner. We stopped in there for some drinks afterwards the drinks were good and come with excellent, gratis views of the 18th hole.

Totally disappointing and saddened. Will not go back and waste my money, nor will the other players I was with.

Its a 9 hole course with different tees for the back nine. It is not a links type where you go back and forth but need to pay attention where the next hole start and goes. The uniformly smooth greens were deceptively fast with wicked breaks. The fairways were lush and cut short. You don't want to land in the deep kevlar strong roughs like I did many times. The tall, really tall, trees line all the fairways and just beyond that is the desert....just pick up and save your clubs. There is a 230 yd straight par 3 that has a wall of 60 ft tall trees blocking the fairway. 40 yds from the tee is a 10 yd wide gap in the wall of trees that opens up to the 20 yd wide fairway. Giant trees line the entire fairway and the green. My foursome par it twice and were happy to do so. I'm a Californian passing through and brought my clubs just in case the Walker Lake golf course was acceptable. It was terrific and will try to return sometime. Mr Moto

We got to Lake Tahoe Golf course early Tuesday morning July 8th and boy was it cold. So cold that they were delayed 1/2 due to frost on the greens. When it got going, we tee'd up and off we went. The fairways were nicely cut, the greens weren't that fast but tough enough for you to read them well and we didn't have to wait for any groups ahead of us. Great views of the mountains, nice streams crossing through the fairways and before a few greens. Very nice course.

We went back into the clubhouse at that point and had coffee with Bailey's. the clubhouse was full of people avoiding the weather. Clubhouse is nice. On the way to golf course we could see big white caps on Lake Tahoe due to winds but the worst was yet to come. Shortly after 3:15 big snow storm came in capsized boats and many boat were damaged in Lake Tahoe per the news. Cannot give complete rating because did not experience all 18 holes so will give rating of 4.

Course has seven of the original front, nine holes and two from the back nine. It is a very hilly course, and the gas golf carts were able to handle the hills quite well. The course was in great shape, and they have concrete cart paths throughout. One of the best things about playing this course is the view you get of the Valley below and all the surrounding mountains. I enjoyed playing the course. It is well laid out and even though there are a lot of houses around the course they never presented any problem. I would like to see more distance markers. None of our GPS devices were able to find the course so we were always wondering how far out we were. There is also a driving range available which has toptracer which allows the player to track distance, height and ball speed.

We arrived a little before 12 pm and were greeted by an employee. For the golf course selection, there are 3 options to choose from (but one course was currently closed). We ended up choosing to do the castle course, which has 28 holes. I had cash in my purse so we paid for a smaller discount of $20 per person. If you pay credit card, it would have been $20.60 per person (I am assuming for the credit card fee?). We were given our clubs and 2 colored golf balls. And the employee who checked us in had told us that there is a hole where the mill is not working. The motor to power it is not working but that we can slowly pushing it towards where she is and it should work. The castle themed course is very cute and we really enjoyed seeing each hole, which some of them were really challenging. Some of the holes were also really well constructed and decorated, including the one with a ship and a giant goldfish. We golfed here for about an hour. And I am happy to say that I ended up with the smaller amount of strokes (just by a margin though). Although this course has 28 holes, you only golf with 27 holes. And then for the last one, you come back inside where you paid for your admission and put it in one of two machines. I placed my golf ball into what looks like a plinko style game (which reminds me of The Price Is Right show). But I don't know if I was supposed to try to win something or not or just to watch it make it's way down to one of three holes. And then my husband placed his ball in the other machine that looks like a slot machine. Overall, we had a great time and am glad we were able to make it out here.

There are a few picnic tables at the front if you want to pick up some food down the street and eat before you start. Course is 9 holes with a handful of par 4's. Location is absolutely gorgeous; surrounded by trees and great views of the mountains. The putting greens are absolutely awful which is probably the only downside of this place but honestly, for $20 golf we didn't mind it. Great way to spend a day in Tahoe that doesn't break the bank!
