All of a sudden, all I could hear was the lady at the front desk, I believe her name was Wendy, YELLING AT HER to get up and do her job, and the young girl looked so confused as to why Wendy was yelling at her, and instead of Wendy asking if the young girl was okay, she fully YELLED AT HER AGAIN and said, "GET UP AND GO DO LAUNDRY. THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE DOING." Honestly, Wendy yelling at that young girl was wrong and out of line. You could clearly see something was wrong with the girl. I feel like if I were the manager or even the owner of that hotel, I would definitely not be happy with my employee yelling at another employee. Even if you are a manager or supervisor, it's not okay to yell at your employee like that. My family and I will not be going back. I hope that young girl is okay, and I hope Wendy doesn't do this to anyone else there. I'm sure that if Wendy did it to her, she does it to all of the employees there.

We…read morecame into town for a family reunion and pretty much everything in town was either booked or didn't accept dogs. (We brought my very well-behaved ESA pug with us) I need to add that the proprietor of this hotel reminds me of a movie character, I just don't even have the words. She's absolutely wretched. When we went to check in, we were charged $131.50 for the room (including taxes) + $50.00 for my dog. We were happy to pay that amount. THEN she swiped my card a second time without asking for a $100 (security deposit) SO - $281.50 in total for one night. We promised to not let the dog get on the beds. The "proprietor" said that if dog hair gets on the beds, she will have to throw away the sheets! (Dramatic much?) We agreed to keep the dog away from the beds, not have any guests over, and not smoke in the room and she said we would get the deposit back when we checked out. (I would like to add that we even went as far to drive to a store to purchase our dog a bed for the floor.) Our room had one queen bed and one full bed. The adjoining room with the full bed had no air at all. It was hot inside and smelled. Thankfully, the room with the queen size bed had a window unit that worked well. The carpet was discolored in several spots, we were given 1.5 rolls of toilet paper, stained towels, and I noticed burn holes on the bedspread. We tried to cool the connecting room by keeping the door propped open. My fiancé's son said he sweated all night long. The next day we made sure the room was spotless, we packed the car, and entered the office to check-out before 11. The door to the office chimes when you open it. We could hear the "proprietor" brushing her teeth and hocking loogies loudly in the side room for a few minutes. My fiancé rang the little bell on her desk, she proceeded to brush her teeth and continue to spit into the sink. It wasn't until my fiancé's phone rang that she stepped out and said, "what?!" He explained to her that we were checking out, and that we would like her to examine our room. He told her that we would like our security deposit credited in a timely manner. She flat out refused. She argued with him and came up with several different excuses as to why she couldn't go check our room, that was (conveniently) located directly above the office. I made sure to get a good video of our tidy room AND of this entire ridiculous exchange she had with my fiancé. She ended up calling the cops on us because he was CALMLY asking her to give us our security deposit back. When on the phone with 911, she said "I feel at risky!" SO, we stepped outside and waited for the responding officer. The sergeant that showed up was so kind to us. He said that he highly recommends reading Google reviews before choosing a hotel. He said that this one was notorious around town, and that he would have slept in his car instead. He apologized for not being able to get us our deposit back and he returned our room key to the office for us. Like magic, all of these signs explaining the fees were in the office now! This was a very expensive night in Ellijay. The officer asked us to not judge the town based on our stay there. We promised we wouldn't...the rest of the town is very charming. Ellijay Inn, however, is a nightmare.

However there were a few hiccups: 1) The master bedroom has a ladybug infestation. I chalked it up to season and Blue Sky being unaware until I picked up the visitor journal and noticed several before us also complained. Shame on you guys for not fixing already. 2) Secondary bedroom has a cute bunkbed. Unfortunately the top bunk is not able to be used because the frame has a major split. Very dangerous. 3) The driveway/parking is also very dangerous. We were told we could not enter neighbors property but there is not possible way to enter and leave without doing so. My husband is a farmer and is very use to maneuvering vehicles/equipment but found himself cussing every time we arrived or left. 4) We were issued 4 towels for 4 people for 5 days AND there was no detergent to wash towels. 5) Lastly, the hot water heater gave out after two showers (short showers). This left 1-2 people taking cold showers. As I said, the cabin has potential but the rental company or the owners need to do a better job keeping up with the issues!i

Our experience with Blue Sky Cabin Rentals was absolutely unacceptable, and I would never recommend…read morethis company to anyone. The one star is only because we eventually gained access to the cabin--otherwise, it would be zero. On our first night, the keypad battery on the cabin door lock died, and we were locked out with groceries and a hot dinner that quickly turned cold. We called the after-hours number, but it took nearly 45 minutes for anyone to get back to us. To make matters worse, the cabin had a lockbox with a backup key, but Blue Sky had previously given us the wrong code--so that option was useless until they finally responded. When I spoke with management, their attitude was dismissive. I was told, "these things happen sometimes." My response was that if this is a known issue, batteries should be checked and changed more regularly to prevent guests from being stranded outside. She asked if I wanted them to change the battery the next day. We said no, since we now had access to the key and preferred to use that for the rest of our stay. Shockingly, when we returned later that day, someone from the company had entered the cabin without our consent and changed the battery anyway--directly against my request. This was extremely unsettling, as we had no idea what was done in our absence with all of our personal belongings inside. It is completely unacceptable for a company to enter a rental property without guest approval. After checkout, management promised to call me, but instead I received a call the following week. Their resolution? A measly 15% off our next stay--assuming we would ever rent from them again. When I explained that we would not, I was told that's all they could offer and to "have a great day." We rent vacation homes 4-5 times a year all over the U.S., and we have never had such a terrible experience. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service from this company is shocking. There are far better options in the area--Escape to Blue Ridge, for example, has always been magnificent. We only booked through Blue Sky because we liked the look of this particular cabin, but never again. Save your money, your time, and your peace of mind--do not book with Blue Sky Cabin Rentals.

Talona Ridge is a beautiful, well-maintained resort. And it's relatively new. With that said,…read morethere's definitely some room for improvement. My biggest complaint is their policy for Eagle Ridge (top with views). They don't allow RVs less than 30'. They claim it's wind, but my son has a 35' that weighs very little more than our Airstream 25'. Honestly, I think they want to cater to large motorhomes on top. They like the aesthetic of expensive units on top. They blame the wind, but honestly the wind is terrible in Falcon Ridge section, too. There's also a sense of divide between the levels. The resort reflected a snootiness to me amidst the levels that isn't seen in most resorts. I feel this is a decision of beginners error and could change in the future...hopefully it will. The resort is STRICT! There's so many rules! We rented a golf cart, and I initialed and signed at least 10 times. They inspect the cart when you return it. All kinds of fines in the contract. We also asked for 4 days of rental, but were told they could only rent it to us for 3 days. But when we returned it, the cart sat behind the welcome center on charge in site F01 unrented the entire day and night. The staff are friendly, but most have a very direct, no non-sense attitude. I watched another RV resort start similar to this. After a few years, they relaxed and now I have to book 2 years ahead to get in. Hopefully Talona Ridge will figure it out soon! The worst part of our experience is that we were called about a month prior asking if we would like to move to a better site. I was so happy this happened as it was a better site. However, they didn't call because they had our best interest at heart. An RV show was scheduled in the park and they needed that site for parking. We were NEVER told about an RV show being inside the campground! I would've re-scheduled. But I must say that the show was very fun so it all worked out to our satisfaction. There is a noisy road right beside the resort. It's noticeably noisy in the evenings unless you are on top. While there are negatives, overall it's a beautiful resort with spacious sites. We will go again. Just do your research and keep an eye on their events. I'm hoping they realize their potential in the near future that will make this place great for everyone including the smaller rigs!

Not satisfied as the experience did not align with the expectations…read more Pros: - the park seems new, kept well - location convenient and easy to get to; there is starbucks, walmart, longhorn, movie theater nearby - the amenities are not bad with pool and live music on friday and saturday 6-9 Cons: - this is really not a good place for kids; kids are not allowed to ride around on their own; the guards show up on golf card barking orders and really killing the vibe. And frankly it may not be 100% safe for kids to ride as cars are zooming by irrespective of direction of traffic. There are sharp turns and hills making it unsafe. - this really is a glorified parking lot... there are maybe 10 spots up on top with 10/10 view. Rest of the spots have 2/10 view. It looks like a mountain the map, but its really not high enough to see anything. So basically you sit in a parking lot staring at your retired neighbor, with kids who have nothing to occupy themselves with. If this is works for you then you will have fun. There are much better ways to spend money.

This company is a total scam. They have photos of the property that only resemble the property itself. Let me explain that we had a family reunion in Manistee on the 4th of July, and had booked it we THOUGHT through VRBO, almost a year in advance 2025 for 8.5K however once I received the email, I merely followed the link. Also note, Manistee gets booked solid annually every year since the early 1930's so when we arrived and saw the condition of the place we had ZERO options to stay elsewhere. We had a family reunion. We had to try and make the best of it. On VERBO photos show VACASA as the managing partner with pristine manicured lawn and garden all around the property. They had a strict no smoking rule on the entire property as well as strict no partying rule. The photos showed staged beds-all with beautiful quilts and pillows. The large dining table with a lovely table cloth. When we arrived the lawn was ankle deep and the garden overgrown to the extent it looked like a haunted house. The garbage close to the entrance in multiple garbage pails were over flowing and flies were infesting and just everywhere as we walked up to the entry. We unlocked the door, there were two entry doors, one knob came off. The floor and stairs were filthy. There was actual dried poop in the only downstairs toilet with various implants stuck in it. The dining table was broken, no tablecloth. The bathrooms staged, not cleaned. When I picked up the silicone hair trap in one tub the sludgy hair mass that hung from it was gag producing. Two beds had nothing but sheets. Nothing else. Curtains were grimy, filthy and on bent temporary rods. When we attempted to call for help--good luck. You do not reach anyone local who owns the property or who cares for the property. You just reach their customer service that gives platitudes and do nothing. When I asked for only a partial refund they gave me --get this $250 cleaning fund back. YEAH THANKS! It was NEVER CLEANED, of course they had to give me my cleaning fund back! They flatly refused any other credit for compensation for FIXING THEIR TOILET FULL OF FECES OURSELVES! Or for CLEANING THE HOUSE OURSELVES! Or for not being able to use the yard to play all the games we brought because it was so overgrown! What we saw in the ad, what we paid for was NOTHING like what we got! BEWARE OF THESE SCAM ARTISTS!
