Was in town for the Eugene Marathon. We came to this Brewery 4 times. Great beers and great atmosphere.

I am a fan overall of the falling sky vibe and their beers. Their beer is quite good and the selection is well rounded. I personally like the deli a little better , but this is a solid in town option. The menu is good here. The food is ever changing with seasonal and fresh ingredients . Very tasty. Inventive recipes. It can get crowded in here at times, but you usually still don't wait too long. There is a nice little outdoor patio and an open air concept with big garage doors letting air and precious sun in during the warmer days. Tastefully decorated. What I don't always enjoy here is the seating. The chairs just aren't comfortable, none of them. The chairs, the stool, the picnic tables. If you have a bad back ( like most of us do) forget being here more than a beer or two. The noise level isn't the worst , but it is loud. Not for intimate conversations ( outside is probably better for that) I recommend stopping here for an authentic Eugene vibe and a good pint, but not too often or too long. read more

I went for the first time today looking to try something new and boy am I glad I did. I got the portobello sandwich. It was flavorful with plenty of shroomy goodness. Despite how busy it was the server with the purple hair (super cute too!!!) was super helpful and poured my beer flawlessly. An actual full pint. None of that foam bullshit. Ohhhh man. I do love the food here. As a diabetic I don't go every often - pub food and beer are really carb heavy and not great for me - but I have splurged a few times and every time it has been great. The pastrami cheese fries are to die for (perhaps literally in my case). The beer selection is huge. They also have homemade sodas which my son appreciates. Maybe this weekend.... read more

Great beer selection and decent prices, as well as some delicious sandwich selections that come with a pile of tasty home made fries. The place is also kid friendly--offering a cart with a bunch of different types of toys you could pull from and take to your table. read more

Awesome but very noisy. Delicious cider, great seating outdoors, inside can get very noisy depending on time of day with the cement floor and cavernous space. The big long tables only add to the difficulty of conversation depending on what you want so just chose the right time. Agree with service comments - but noticing that in many places now service from the 20-somethings seems to be going a bit by the wayside and I think some places and people will really start distinguishing themselves on great service in the future (hopefully). read more

VERY RUDE CHEF! My husband's hamburger came out of the kitchen inedibly raw, when he went to ask him to grill it up a bit longer the chef angrily threw it in the garbage can. 3 stars for effort but there are major kinks to work out, mainly in the food department. pretty inconsistent and over priced for quality/portion. I got a "market salad". it was arugula, shaved raw radish, a few bleu cheese crumbles and pickled zucchini with a herb vinaigrette. $8. sounds ok, right? it was like eating a tub of vinegar. the pickled zukes with that super-vinegary dressing made it barely edible. I felt like my tummy was being pickled! would have been much better with a creamy-based dressing or a chevre to balance out the acidity. seemed like one of those dishes the chef didn't bother to try. oh well. read more

Eugene has many brewpubs with a wide range of ambiance, beer and food. Falling Sky mostly offers trendy ambiance and a menu that makes customers feel like foodies. It's overpriced, not vegetarian friendly, and seating is awkward. I'll pass. read more

Had a sampler and the pastrami cheese fries. Both were superb. Staff was very nice and the outdoor seating was great.

One of the best Burgers I have had in long time that I didn't make myself, homemade patty, grass fed beef, so fresh! They were very knowledgeable about what beer would pair well with the food I ordered, oh and to mention the poutine was fantastic also! I will definitely be back! read more

Strange location in a back alley, and a storefront that doesn't promise a lot......going inside however, it's got a nice feel and really good food.....I had a soup/salad combo, tried the creamy pork stew, an excellent chowder loaded with shredded pork, corn, potatoes.....salad was greens, radish, carrots, pickled onions. This place sounded interesting so our group decided to try it. The beer selection is awesome but unfortunately all were too bitter for our palates. My husband even got the lightest selection and it had a bite. I heard the pastrami was excellent so I ordered the Beef Belly pastrami regular style on marble rye and they told me it had their house made mustard. I love to have the meat of the sandwich be the star, but the mustard was way too potent for my taste and overpowered the taste of the pastrami. I then took the meat out of the sandwich and just ate it. My son got the same pastrami fixed "reuben style" and said it was very good. The fries were hot and delicious. The Chef's Burger was ordered and it was very good except for the limp bacon. My husband ordered the egg salad sandwich and it was good except he said the mustard should have been left off. I would return but would order all sans mustard! read more

Love the long tables where a large group can gather. While they say they serve cocktails, their hard liquor/cocktail selection is very limited. This is a brew pub and that's what you get!! Good selection of beer/ale. Friendly folks working there. Tasty bar food. Outdoor seating on nice days. The acoustics seem to work out as we had a large group but we didn't have to shout to be heard. We were there on a Tuesday evening though. Don't know what a weekend evening would be like. read more

The beer was great. The location and vibe of the place were very Portland, in a good way. The servers were friendly. I wasn't impressed by the food. The veggie burger was nothing to write home about. My boyfriend got something with meat. I think he liked it better than I liked the dish I ordered. Oh, and I disliked the fries. Maybe they would have been better with cheese and pork on them. Despite being underwhelmed with the food, I'm going to go there again. The beer and the atmosphere make up for the so-so food. read more

We had been to Falling Sky 8 months ago and loved it. This time was really disappointing. We went for lunch and it was expensive and the food was terrible. The beer was pretty good but didn't make up for the food. The vegetable pasta was a special and sounded good and the description said garlic cream sauce. It came in a tiny bowl with no sauce, 3 vegetables and noodles all clumped together. It didn't come with any extras like bread and it cost $12. The veggie burger was expensive too, $11 and came with fries that were so greasy they were inedible. Those are expensive prices for lunch in Eugene and if a restaurant is going to charge that much the food better be good. read more

I absolutely loved the food here. Both times I had the Alabama chicken sandwich with summer vegetables. Absolutely to die for. I insisted that my husband and I stop on the way from Ashland to Portland so I could eat this meal again. I tried the earl grey root beer the first time and the strawberry basil soda the second, both were splendid. I highly recommend this place. Really good about allergies too. My husband and I ate here while visiting Eugene on a recent trip and were really impressed! The hubs ordered a flight and their special of the day which was a bbq sandwich and fries (all great, he said). I ordered the spiced wings and a cup of their potato and fennel soup. I LOVED the wings, very different than traditional wings you get at a pub and VERY good! The soup was flavorful and creamy, I just realized I'm not a huge fan of fennel. We'll be stopping by again next time we visit! read more

My wife and I several times have driven by the relatiively new Pour House and Delicatessen on Monroe, and commented on the clever name. This afternoon she wanted to eat in a nearby Mexican Restaurant, which turned out to be closed, so, following an erresistable aroma, we decided to try the Pour House. Wow, what a find! Not only a couple dozen beers, brewed in Eugene by Falling Sky Brewers (plus wines, whiskies and innovative cocktails), but the most delicious authentic pastrami sandwiches we have had since we left LA years ago. The pastami (both brisket and beef belly) and rye bread are made on the premises, and are cooked perfectly,definitely living up to the aroma bringing us in. A large variety of other sandwiches and deli dishes (with a Jewish flair) are available. I had a really great tasting brisket pastrami with the Sumatra Coffee Porter. Dina had a French press coffee and what she said was a very good matzo ball soup with chicken. We are so glad we dropped in and will definately be back. read more

Much better experience than my trip to their deli. Got some helpful advice from both the chef and the beertender, who recommended the daily special, the pork loin sandwich. It was delicious, as were the fries. The beer was solid, too. But not a fan of the self service, the benches, and lack of ambiance. I can see the attraction of the outdoor benches in good weather, though, so could definitely see coming back on a sunny day. read more

I liked the food. The sandwiches were not the same old thing you get everywhere else. The beer is good, too. Only thing I didn't like was the seating. You sit at long tables with strangers, and there's nothing wrong with that, if that's your thing. I prefer a quiet booth. read more
