The previous HVAC installer (Pro Flo / All Pro) failed to come out to service my 3 year old Carrier heat pump / A/C unit because it was "too new" and "should not have issues" so soon after installation so I had to call another company. There were circumstances from another installer that made chaos at my house. Two systems were installed improperly and both died. There was a lot of repair and investigation that they worked diligently on for two full weeks. It took time but it took more patience than time. Everyday the boys came and worked quietly and cleanly till dark and after. When they left each day there was no sign of them having worked. They covered everything and anything they moved was replaced perfectly. I didn't have to clean up after them at all. They also participated in getting the previous installer to pay for the work. Needed to have my 3 OLD duplexes tuned up by FHAC...freon checked, a condenser replaced, 4 new thermostats changed out, etc. Jack and Aiden did an excellent job. There was a loose wire in one of the attics which made checking one of the new thermostats impossible. These two men stayed with it until they found the problem. I am very impressed and happy. Had these guys out twice to fix my air conditioning system. Both visits cost $400. Out $800 total. Neither visit solved the problem which turned out to be a leak in the Refrigerant system. Their technicians lack the experience and did not put much effort into finding the leak. Lazy in my opinion. Their proposed solution was to inject a solution into the system to plug up any potential leaks. It did not work on two separate occasions. When I called the office they offered no solution other than to try to find the leak myself and then call them. It was a total waste of time and money to call these guys. Don't do it. Ended up calling another company who came out and literally found the leak in ten minutes and showed me exactly where it was so I could verify it. Done read more

Called these guys 2 years ago to come out for a "Free Estimate" as their ad says. They came out and figured out immediately it was not an AC issue. It was an electrical issue and referred me to an electrician. - No work preformed - No mention of a charge upon arrival. - No mention of a charge after determining they wouldn't be / couldn't do the repairs - No mention of any charges when leaving. Flash forward 2 years later. I call them again about possibly getting some service done. Person on the phone tells me I have a 2 year old outstanding payment for service done in 2015. Totally shocked and hearing about this for the first time I ask what its about. He reminds about their visit in 2015 when they came out and immediately determined it was just a bad wire and then referred us to an electrician. He claims they made multiple attempts to collect with no response. I certainly don't recall their being anything from them, but who am I to say. That was two years ago. I doubt I would have called them back again if I had known: A) They wanted $89 to tell me they cant fix it and then refer me to someone else B) That I had some kind of outstanding bill. Oh well, it $89.00 . So its not that big of a deal. Had it been discussed at the time they came out I would have asked where the "Free Estimate" is and why its $89.00 to have them tell me to call someone else to fix it. On a side note: When I sat down to write this review I noticed someone else had a similar experience. So this looks like it might be a trend. In an effort to be fair in my review, I would say this: - I am not saying don't call these guys. Maybe they do good work. I have no idea since I am (apparently) paying $89.00 for them to essentially not work on my AC - My experience wasn't / isn't very impressive. But that just me, maybe yours will be different. - Last but not least: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A CLEAR UNDERSTANDING ON WHETHER THERE WILL ANY CHARGES IN SPITE OF THEIR "FREE ESTIMATE' ADVERTISEMENT **BEFORE** THEY DO ANYTHING. In the end I will probably send them the $89.00. Only because its kind of hard to argue 2 years later. An like I said, it just $89.00 ***Update: Due to these guys and their $89.00 nonsense, I ended up calling Master Flow Heating and Air Conditioning to do my full central AC replacement. This was my first contact with this company and I was not disappointed! While having my new solar system installed, what we thought were a couple of old solar panels of some type were removed from the roof. The installer noticed that going to each panel was ducting and installation - no electrical wires. The solar installer was pretty sure it was an old heating system that was no longer in use since our AC unit was relatively new. Just to be sure, I called Fallbrook Heating and Air since it was their label on the AC unit. I talked to the answering service and within 30 minutes my called was returned by a technician. He as very knowledgeable about my system as he had serviced it several times by for the previous owner of the home. Having lived in my house for over three years, my AC unit was due for some basic service. They had a team in the area and were able to swing by my house about an hour later. The two technicians that arrived were very courteous and knowledgeable. They checked my attic and confirmed that the vents that were removed to make way for the solar were part of an inactive system - so nothing to worry about. They then did the maintenance check on my AC system, replacing a filter, etc. The piece of mind of knowing everything was OK in the attic was priceless. I will definitely be using this company again! read more

We had already had one estimate from another company and it seemed a little high, so I called Fallbrook Heating and asked if they would take a look and give us a bid on what it would cost to repair the heater in my Mom's condo. They not only came out when scheduled, but they called me to give me the estimate from the job site and on approval, had her heat up an running for about half the cost that we were previously quoted. They were very professional and worked with us to give us the best system for our medical needs & overall needs for our house. The job was competed quickly w/o any issues. Watch out. My heater went out and they determined it was my thermostat. Good. Problem; they wanted to charge me $344 to put in a Honeywell Focus Pro 6000. I saw the box and quickly checked on the internet and it was $59.99 on Amazon ($39.95 on Neobits). Asked them to check on the price and they said again the office says it is $344. They said they include a 5 year warranty (everyone gets it as it comes from Honeywell) and they have the "commercial" product (same box once I got it). I did have to Google how to install it (very simple) and it took 5 minutes to install it myself. It works great. Be careful. read more

Very disappointed with the cost. They charged me $89 for a technician to diagnose the problem (which took about 5 minutes). And I was not informed prior to the visit or even at the beginning of the visit that there would be an $89 charge for diagnosis. Then they charged me $99 to replace the capacitor (took about 10 minutes). On the bright side, the technicians were courteous and quick. read more

I went thru last summer without my air conditioner working. Boy was it hot! I called another company and they didn't offer anything when they came out, except a new air conditioner at a high price. My air conditioner is quite old and dilapidated and hasn't many good years left in it.Then Ralph arrived and was able to diagnosis the problem and explain it to me in a way I could understand. My AC problem was water pouring out of the ceiling. I tried to go with a local business, but I couldn't regret it more. The bad experience starts with an answering service that seems to be unfamiliar with their business and answers the phone with a crummy attitude. It continued with the two unprofessional men who showed up and said it was dirty filters. These men were not in uniform, didn't identify themselves and didn't have the necessary parts, requiring a second visit. The very next day I wasn't in, but was told the water problem not only continued, it also caused a section of the ceiling to collapse. Another visit, this time it was supposedly a problem with the drain valve that required they reroute the drain because they couldn't figure out where it terminated. When we went to replace the ceiling tiles, it couldn't be done because the new valve sits a full half inch below the ceiling tile lines. When I called to request it be adjusted, I was told the maintenance guys could "just shave the ceiling tile to make it fit". Another visit was made to replace a contact and I was advised the unit was neglected, in spite of the fact I've only been here a year. I've been charged for 3 visits, two of which were due to their negligence and basically told their shoddy work was something I had to live with. I've since spoken to others who have had similar experiences with this firm. I typically discount negative Yelp reviews, but in this instance I should have paid attention. read more

Friday 8/30/13 one of the hotest days in August we came home after work to find that our air conditioning stopped working. We asked for referrals from friends and was told to call Fallbrook Heating & Air Conditioning, so Saturday morning we did. The woman that answered the phone stated that a tech would be contacted out in the field and they would call us shortly. Almost 3 hours later my husband called and they same woman asked "Is this an emergency". My husband replied "Its about 100 degrees and my air conditioning is not working, what do you think?" She stated that someone would call-by 5 pm no phone call-Called again and the same woman acted as if she'd never taken our calls told my husband will I don't think they worked today!!!! WOW!!!! My husband being knowledgeable in just about everything figured out the problem and has ordered a part from a company out of Fallbrook!. To the owner you really need to consider someone else to answer your phone calls. read more
