I am hoping if I look into this place, I am able to get a better result than the last person, who…read moretook out life savings literally and halfways fixed our laminate floating floor, then disappeared after he had his money, and never came back to finish stairway or the living room downstairs. I was referred to him by someone locally, and I didn't know he wasn't properly licensed or insured or. Does...he assured me he had what he needed...he also charged me triple what licensed and bonded companies charge and said that was the going price, even though I did all demolition and sanding and bought all materials for him. He destroyed our floors. I am praying for a miracle windfall to fix this. I paid him graciously not knowing how that he lacks any insurance or bonding or licensing. He's in the wind now and it took a decade for us to to save that much to get flooring out in, as we had to use all of our aging duebto a leak from the toilet that spilled over onto the flooring all weekend long until we got home and realized it. Thankfully there was no major damage and the dehumidifiers we got in helped immensely in mitigating any potential damage. However being a first time homeowner I didn't know insurance May have covered it because I am a lifelong renter and when I saw all the water my grandma instinct was to get it up as fast as possible before the upstairs wood warps or something! . I was so excited...We just bought our first home and I am devastated because this doesn't feel like a home, we cut our feet and get splinters all the time now and I am hoping that we can find some miracle to fix this. There should be a guide of sorts to tell people what to look for when trying to find someone to do something as important as a floor. I've lost a lot of faith in local businesses lately due to scams and people doing half the world, taking all the money, and dropping off the face of the planet. I just wish there was a little honestly. I'm looking for a notable...disabled very family with three disabled family members other than my husband, and there is no way anyone should be treated like that. People are so horrible and I hope I can find someone reputable soon. My family's feet are torn up and we haven't even been in this house for two months...it was a leak in the floor that caused us to have to pull the carpet and a lot of our items are also damaged now, but thankfully no mold that we know of. Why can't people just be decent??? I'm not making that mistake again...I was scammed out of more than a licensed and bonded company charges to do the floor when Home Dept charges 89 cents a square foot...this guy had all tools and materials fully provided to him and didn't have to pay a penny except gas Al- I even paid for him and his two interns (which took him longer bd is likely why the floor is so messed up now) with every tool and material needed...he even took off with some of the tools given to him, we paid for all materials, and he destroyed our flooring, tearing out the baseboards and ripping up holes in the drywall. He didn't offer to fix it and when I tried to contact him, he had disappeared. Never again. I need to find an honorable and honest flooring place to look at my floors for me and see whether they can be fixed and how much it would cost to get the floors done entirely. I want my house that I just bought to be a home and right now it feel like I got stolen from and there's two months of bad memories I'd like to resolve. At this point, for a quality job, I'd pay interest! Looks like this may be on my short list of shopping around. :)

I gave Arturo the measurements and he put it all on paper everything was just perfect, cabinets are great quality as well as best prices out there!! Thank you Arturo for all your help, reach out to him first for all your remodel needs, he is very professional, and straightforward and always answers calls, texts, emails immediately. He also speaks Spanish :-). We were so grateful that we also currently finalizing our powder and laundry room as well! Delmy was so patient and thorough. She spent several hours with me bringing my design to life. And then the next day spent another couple of hours fine tuning, explaining and going through finishes with my husband. She was very diligent in making the right decisions with materials and sharing tips of the trade to get us what we wanted while staying within our defined budget. She even covered pieces in my order that I had forgotten about. She professional and has great instincts. I was also pleased that they had multiple options and we were able to find plenty of stock and availability in both cabinets and countertops. Both were reasonably priced and it was great to find everything at one location instead of having to go to multiple places. My only disappointment is that the warehouse is only open Monday through Friday and not open on Saturdays. But, I would recommend Delmy and FX for the wonderful and stress free experience.

They are a nice family business, and they have seamless coordination between the designer, cabinet installer, and stone installer. You won't run into a situation where gaps are left between subcontractors. 2. There were no hidden fees or unreasonable change orders. The final price was exactly what was initially quoted. 3. We chose Dekton for the countertop, which is fabulous but also known to be harder to fabricate and install. Our countertop was so masterfully completed; the grain patterns all matched up and fit together perfectly. 4. Marlene, the cabinet designer, has vast knowledge of products on the market, which gives her the capability to create ideas for non-standard options. 5. Carlos and the cabinet installers, were so multi talented, they did custom carpentry work per customer's wish, and also electrical connections and drywall finish, all with good quality. 6. Celia, the schedule controller had clear communication for the timeline, no over promise, all realistic, no back and forth changes, which makes it easy for the customers to plan their schedule around the construction. Overall, I wanted to highly recommend SD Cabinets and Stone to potential customers.

Whenever I had a concern or question, Tom or someone from his crew would quickly get back to me. One example of going above and beyond was when we unboxed our microwave for installation. Unfortunately, we unboxed our microwave on the 17th day after purchase. We thought we had 30 days. The microwave had a huge dent. I called the retail store and they refused to replace it. They said they could only give me a gift card for $40. Tom was able to use his contacts and the store then replaced the microwave. I also appreciated that Tom listened, gave suggestions and helped us with how I wanted the kitchen to function. Our family and friends still tell us how much they like the set up and style of our beautiful kitchen!

This concrete sealant or whatever you want to call it was apparently the first time this product was used by him which I would not suggest he do with anyone else. I believe he had a choice to use an industrial grade product (as I requested) since our request was to make the countertop "shine like Costco's floor" but this is what the product looked like after a few months. He guaranteed that he would redo the countertop to our satisfaction but he stopped working on this even though the final product came out looking like crap - and after the third attempt as well. Unfortunately Tom elected to no longer work with us after I pointed out some of his other shortfalls so just keep this in mind when getting bids. Tom often likes to use a guesstimate bidding versus providing a formal quote. Sure it cuts down on costs, but you might not get what you thought you were getting since nothing is in a formal quote many times. I could point out other things that just were not done very well like when our Sub-Zero fridge showed up and Tom's crew didn't read the specifications correctly so the crew could not install the fridge and Tom's crew had to fix the opening in the kitchen and then the Sub-Zero crew had to come back a week later. The instructions were clear and Sub-Zero has very detailed specs - but the crew didn't pay attention to them. Again, just things like that were a normal occurrence throughout the entire time we had Tom do our projects. His father's custom kitchen cabinets turned out ok - looked very nice, but some of the trim pieces were not lined up on other areas. Just little annoyances. Anyway, nice bunch of people, but not what you'd expect for the several tens of thousands of dollars we spent over a year.
