Super tasty quality food, I noticed that on the menu it even tells you which farm the meat came from, or where the ice cream was made etc. The Greek Lamb and the Gammon are both brilliant. The portions are huge and I'm always left with enough food for another meal but save room for the Holly Bush sundae because you wont ever have a such a selection of tasty locally made ice cream :) The prices are great too, last time I went it was around 30quid for the 2 of us.

However apart from the occasional ear piercing yelp we were pleased to spend our evening out dining here. This is my local and we've seen this place go through redesigns, new management and so on…read more If you're looking for a quiet drink with a nice atmosphere then this is the place to go. Perhaps out of the way for a few people but it means you get a lot of the locals in there (like myself!) which leads to a very pleasant and jovial ambience to the play. The low wooden beams and moody lighting might be the staple of this chain of pubs but don't let that put you off, this really is in the spirit of traditional old country pubs. The food is pretty good and there's a good selection of lagers bitters and ales on tap for the discerning drinker. The staff and the new management are much improved and very friendly with the punters and won't shy from a bit of joking and banter. The car park is always full, especially on Sundays when people go in for the Sunday roast which if anything is a sign of a successful establishment.

Landlords Richard and Caroline clearly strive to please every person who walks through this pub's doors, and to my knowledge they always succeed. The food here is superb. Both the lunch and dinner menus are packed full of delicious options that will never disappoint. As I have told many friends, The White Horse can boast that it serves the best vegetarian option in the area. We regularly come on a Sunday and order the vegetarian option and have yet to be disappointed. A great selection a real ales and good beers the White Horse's wine list is not to be overlooked. I love the Rioja here and have been known to horde the better part of a bottle for myself. The staff are always ready to serve with a smile and a genuine appreciation for their patrons, who are more friends than customers after a single visit. Do not visit England without a trip to Tilbrook to enjoy this pub. It is truly the best Great Britain has to offer!

This is a cracking little pub with a friendly barmaid to boot…read more I quite often stop off at this oldie worldie pub after a long walk and find it to be very cosy in the front room complete with log fire. The log fire is a highlight for me and the barmaid is excellent at ensuring there is plenty of fuel on the fire - very important! Lots of locals frequent this pub who are friendly and dogs are welcome too. The food menu is homely and traditional. There is a back room with more tables and chairs but where the log fire is I follow! A regular favourite any time of the year.

Excellent Food in an Historic Pub!…read more We very much enjoyed a lovely lunch here. The Ebrington Arms has all of the charm of an old pub but with really good food. My wife had a great abergine blossom stuffed with ricotta cheese while I had a delicious cottage pie. It is well worth the drive.

They have the same items on the menu, carry the same beers and generally almost start looking the same. Well, the Malt Shovel does not. Not only is their menu unique, it seemed to have specials of the day. I choose a meat pie that with beer in it and my husband chose a different meat and potatoes dish. We started with some fried tempura shrimp that was a surprise because it was just as light and tasty as could be. We ate that pretty quickly. The entrees are pretty hefty and I believe we could have shared, but in the end my husband liked his dish better so it worked out. Ironically we came here quite by accident but it was our anniversary that night and with trying to find a car hadn't had time to properly plan dinner but it worked out because the meal made it feel pretty special. I would have liked to have tried a dessert but having no space had to forgo. In the end it turned out it was less than 10 miles away from home so we probably will be back often for good homecooked like meals!

I enjoyed a vegetarian ravioli (delicious) but hesitated between a few other options, including the bass with risotto (colleague ordered) and the veggie burger (other colleague ordered)--both of which they said were quite good as well. Appetizers and desserts both looked great too, but none of us were interested in having more than the main course. Service was a bit all over the place (gave one of us the wrong drink, took a while to get the correct one and the waitress also forgot what one of our orders was but hey, didn't matter too much as it wasn't what I'd consider to be bad either) Hope to go back again at some point to try the other meals they have!
