The leader of our group had to pay the whole bill and get us to pay him back later. That is a real pain for people from the US going to England. In the US you can have a large group go to a restaurant and they will give everyone separate bills if you want them. By the way, by doing that I think the staff get bigger tips.

Her kindness didn't stop there however. As we departed to walk the Cotswold Way, I accidentally left my jacket behind. Realizing it miles away, Sandra went above and beyond driving all the way to our next night's accomodations to personally bring it to me. Having since finished our walk to Bath, we can say the Lygon Arms is not to be missed. While Sandra would not accept anything for her trouble, we've given a donation to the National Trust in her honor.
