So everything is literally covered by layers of dust, cigarette tar, saw dust. I probably did not stress the level of messiness clearly, and they were surprised by the amount of work needed. But even so, they managed to bring in more people and held up their guarantee to complete the work same day. The house is 10 times better after the cleaning. The clean was so detailed everything is sparkling and even old unfinished wood is much cleaner (which I didn't think you can effectively clean). Price is reasonable and communication is easy and fast. Downright the best cleaning team I've used.

We drove an hour to the property today and took the day off work specifically for this appointment. When they were almost an hour late, I called David and he casually said, "Sorry, we thought you changed it to Friday. Must have confused you with someone else." No accountability whatsoever. When I understandably got upset because this completely screwed up our plans, he hung up on me. Now we're stuck scrambling last minute before guests arrive next weekend. This is a warning- We actually found the maids through Yelp. I wish I read the Google reviews before booking but I went through a Yelp search for cleaning services here in Orange County. I was specifically looking for a service to clean the house before we moved in. Here's the rundown: overpriced and underdelivered. I specifically chose The Maids because of a few factors: they claimed to clean EVERYTHING (windows, doors, walls, ceiling fans, doors, appliances etc.. but they don't), they use disinfecting cleaners which is important in our Covid world, they specifically focused in move in/move out cleaning which is what we needed before our big move in, and I was able to talk to someone about every expectation before booking. I was very clear and even received a confirmation email for all the work that would be done. Please don't be fooled by any of the above because nothing was left as expected. They left the house doing half the job- soap scum still in the shower, dirty windowsills that weren't even touched, a dirty microwave and stove, hand prints on windows and walls were still everywhere (from the previous tenant who had kids), and a broken carbon monoxide detector because it was knocked off the wall. After the crew left we we noticed all the issues- the dirty appliances that were never cleaned, the dirt still on the windowsills, the smudges on the windows, and the other doors/walls/other surfaces that didn't look like they were touched. It wasn't what I was expecting for a crew of 4 people at $220 per hour. When I informed the sales manager of the issues I was told different stories and excuses for different issues. They did offer for a crew to come back for a cleaning but we were already in the process of moving our belongings in and had started to clean what they had failed to. I was extremely unimpressed with this lackluster service, especially for the cost. It was silly to pay someone for what was originally supposed to be delivered and we had to do ourselves. The best they could offer was knocking an hour off for a job half done. My suggestion would be to book another service.
