Seven Clans Hotel - Behind the hotel

Seven Clans Hotel

Seven Clans Hotel offers fine lodging. Booked online, no problem. The room price is reasonable…read more All staff are friendly and helpful (for example the Players Club sign-up person). No complaints about rooms, hallways and facilities (built 2012); clean & well kept, showing little wear. Well-arranged - featuring walnut headboard and very large walnut shelf/counter/enclosure for the tv - quite luxurious. Single-serve coffee maker, "Community Coffee;" small fridge w/ no freezer portion; no microwave; large screen tv w/ lots of channels; bathis large, clean, well-maintained. Strangely, the A/C made the room TOO COOL!? We finally got room warmed up to 83℉ (adjusting the thermostat overnight) on the first night. Overall, there's limited things to do here and in the surrounding area: casino (it is large w/ lots of slots, live poker etc.) plus restaurants and the Dream Pool w/ its "lazy river." The pool is shallow (no deep end) and has a shallower kiddy wading area close to deck chairs, plus a swim-up bar. One beach towel is provided per person. We stayed 2 nights and did it all (no kids). Seven Clans has no staffed lobby, so it is about 400' +/- away to reach the lobby which serves the new Legacy Tower Hotel and Casino entrance. Conversely, since the pool area is out east beyond the Seven Clans, it actually is the closest access from the rooms. You can park near the front or rear sides of Seven Clans for off-loading, etc. Big Sky Restaurant is exceptional - an upscale setting (expensive) and well-presented, ample meals; it's a formal table setting: 2 forks, appetizers: tasty bread w 2 spreads (butter & c. cheese/pepper jelly), softshell crab on paste. The food tasted great! It's a relaxing setting, small cozy cubicle (would seat 4-5 adults). very quiet (with few customers @ 5-5:30 before the crowds arrive). A large Starbucks is off the lobby. Also available for breakfast, lunch, dinner are: the Terrace Café sit-down, cafeteria style; the Lagniappe Café self-serve type cafeteria; and Noodles Asian Restaurant.

We drove through the night and arrived here at 9 am, asked the front desk if we could check in…read moreearly and they let us. Rooms were clean but this hot humid climate makes everything feel like it's covered in a film. The room didn't smell bad but it did have a stale smell. We booked this room online the night before and got a great deal! Plus since we were able to check in early we basically had the room for more than 24 hours but only paid for one night. We paid $60 for the night and the next closest hotel was $100 for the same date. This is the kind of hotel for resting your head after some serious gambling. If you are the kind of person expect a Hilton or Marriott I would recommend the casino and resort hotels at Coushatta. But, if you would rather save the dough and just need a place to crash this would be the best bet. The restrooms were nice, the TV was a flat screen, and the bed was comfortable. Overall this is what I expected. A lower end hotel that gives you a bed to sleep in for when you're tired, anything more will cost you more. You get what you pay for.

We booked this hotel because the price was reasonable and it was very close to the Coushatta…read morecasino. The room was clean and well worn. The toilet ran consistently and there was a crack in the bathroom ceiling and it looked like water leaked. There were very few guests but they put us in a room at the far end of the entrance. We did tell them that we were handicapped. To make matters worse there was a semi with a refrigeration unit running just outside our room. The driver could have parked anywhere in the lot but had to park by our room. I complained to the clerk but nothing was done to correct the problem. I would not recommend this hotel for these reasons. Sometimes a good price is just not worth it.

This hotel surprisingly had 4.4 stars on Google and 3.6 on Yelp. We decided to give it a shot. We stay at Hilton properties often and haven't had issues. We checked in around midnight and needed to get straight to bed. As soon as we walked into the room, we were hit with a strong smell of cigarette smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. I paid the upgrade fee to get a room on the first floor near an exit door. When I went into the bathroom, it was obvious the shower had not been cleaned. There was a dirty, wet towel on the shower floor and the floor itself was filthy. We were only a few hours from home, so I skipped showering altogether. It felt more like a rundown motel than a Hilton. The bed wasn't much better--the fitted sheet kept popping off because it wasn't the correct size. We were exhausted, so we tried calling the front desk for help, but the phone just rang and rang. Does anyone even work here? Like I said, we needed to get straight to bed. Personal reason for why I wasn't able to go to the front desk when we arrived. On this trip alone, I stayed at four different Hilton properties and didn't have a single problem anywhere else. This experience was completely unacceptable. Pros: - Great location (right off the highway with lots of nearby stores) - The room itself was spacious - Despite everything, I was eventually able to get some sleep Cons: - Strong smoke odor in a non-smoking room - Shower was dirty with a used towel left behind - Incorrect bed sheets - Zero customer service Unfortunately this was my experience and I really wish it weren't this bad. This stay did not meet Hilton standards at all.

Was pleasantly surprised by this hotel! Only lost a star because…read more 1) the elevator and hallways don't have AC which is tough in the summer 2) the hot and cold were mislabeled in our room shower, like turning it to cold made the water hot and vice versa, which took us a while to figure out!! With that said, the main reason for such a high rating is the breakfast. For such a quaint hotel in a small town I was impressed with the variety of options. A DIY waffle bar, various grab and go items, hot food, pastries, coffee and More! Plus all the staff seemed very pleasant

Ok place but I wouldn't intentionally book another room there unless there was absolutely no other…read morechoice. Perks are it was super close to Coushatta and they are pet friendly. The room was cleaner than I was expecting when I pulled up and as I was walking up the stairs to the room. Their website says they offer free WiFi but when I checked in they did not give me the password as has been my usual experience with other hotels. Next day I called down to office to ask, but ended up having to walk over there and get her to write it down. While at the front desk window (outside because they are not letting people in their lobby due to Covid even though most other businesses are open as usual like the casinos) I asked her for Extra towels because they only put two small towels in the room. She went back and walked them out the front door to me while bare footed. Went back to the room and logged into WiFi with no issues. Later later in the day when got back to room I was trying to use my phone and could not get on the WiFi at all. My phone would no longer even pick up their network as one nearby available to log on to. Like they shut it off or something. I'm not even sure if You can do that. Upon arrival late Friday night a big fat roach was right on the outside of our door so I was afraid to get near it. Waited for my husband come up to open door and then the thing flew at me lol! I'm not worried about that though. Was a big roach and can't help them from being outside in hot humid weather. Smaller roaches inside the room would have gave me cause for concern but I did not see that. When we opened the door it was so HOT in the room. They had A/C completely off. Also there were very few outlets. They had this thing on top of the desk that provides 3 but it was so far to keep phone at if your just trying to lay down and look at the phone or want it close by for alarm. My suggestion to the hotel is to invest in new alarm clocks with usb outlets in them. Inexpensive solution to this and people would be able to keep their phone next to them on the nightstand. One more thing... for those of you with longer hair...make sure you bring your own conditioner if you are used to using the stuff provided by hotel. This place only provided a small lotion and shampoo. No conditioner at all. I was so glad I had my own.

The door way was dirty and bugs could get in from outside. The towels they placed in the room didn't look as clean as they should have been. Sorry, not sorry.

The smell of chlorine…read morefrom the pool right off the lobby hits you before you even enter...Check-in was smooth but the front desk attendant seemed less than thrilled to be there. When I made my reservation, they only had a king suite with a Jacuzzi but upon check-in they had a double bed available so I appreciated that. I was on the third floor, 331 so anybody with an odd number room can see the lovely flashing neon CASINO sign. My room was nice and cool upon entering and it smelled nice. Did my usual inspection, sprayed the bed I'd sleep in with Lysol and all was good. There were a couple black ants near the sink in the bathroom and someone else's hair on the shower curtain but nothing too major. The bed was pretty comfortable, four small, soft but firm pillows instead of the usual queen bed pillows. The begging was nice as well, no stains and kept me warm because the air set on 75 felt like 62 to me lol I like it warm. The staff, particularly the housekeepers and the ladies in the breakfast room, which was included from 6-10am. It was a typical continental breakfast that featured, pastries, hot and cold cereal, fruit and waffle stations, blueberry and regular as well as bacon or sausage and eggs. The ladies at breakfast were so accommodating, kept everything refilled and didn't turn away folks even after closing. The room for breakfast was small so there was always a line or a wait at any given time. The housekeeper's spoke everytime you pass them. My room was well stocked with ampel towels and the featured toiletries were from Paya, which I'd never heard of but they smelled nice. The hotel was booming with people but I didn't hear too many complaints from other guest. I'd definitely stay here again.. SN: I went to the casino with my cousins just to check it out and it was a smoke filled old school floor, no live tables, live music in the bar and a free drink (soda, coffee) not liquor station.

Upon…read morearriving and my initial scope of the place I really felt like online reviews were treating the Paragon too harshly and that it could not be that bad actually staying here. The decor was not as outdated as it could be and you can see where they have touched things up over the years. It is a massive facility with other things to do besides gamble. The place smelled of smoke as I would expect from any casino/hotel. The Top Golf Suite cafe took an hour and a half to bring food and it made everyone in there mad as h*ll. Nobody understood how you couldn't be prepared for an influx of people due to a conference. The burger I ordered from there was ok but the fries were overcooked. Paragon disabled the hdmi capabilities of the tvs so don't bring your PlayStation or Xbox thinking you'll play any of that here. They don't have a do not disturb sign for your door. The water pressure on the shower may be the worst in the United States of America. The light above the toilet area inside the bathroom was supremely dim. Flashlight needed My room had a sour smell mixed with housekeeping cleaner that kind of settled down after I ran the AC through my room. Stains were everywhere on my carpet and sofa chair. For the second day of my stay the water coming out of all of my faucets were BROWN (pictured). I notified the front desk and they recommended to just run the water for a while...I started running water at 4:45 pm and it is still brown at 10:21 PM. My coworkers also had brown water issues. The bed was very comfortable though. The towels in the room were clean and the surfaces that really mattered like the bed and countertops were clean. Paragons ability to host a conference is not in question because the infrastructure is there to do it and the service was polite. The food served at the conference was good overall. The movie theater was clean and a great experience. I would've tried the spa but it was closed. Numerous certain areas of the hotel just had a snapshot of an absolutely putrid odor. Every time I walked past a certain smell I just got mad as h*ll lol. If your love is not totally with gambling and getting drunk like never before...I would just stay at the Hampton across the street and then visit Paragon for certain activities. If you really need to gamble, come to any of the hotels in Shreveport/Bossier....may be a fraction of the size of the Paragon but I can almost guarantee you'll be happier and cleaner. As of 12:39 AM my water is now clear
