Very overpriced. Says 100 % Guaranty but it's not. Wasn't told there is no elevator. lots of road noise. Best part of stay was Valerie.

The parking lot was litter free and there was parking under the portico at time of arrival and departure. I am highly frustrated when I arrive at a hotel, and the hotel staff or others have parked as if it's long term (homesteading) parking. It's not. This was NOT the case at this hotel; they understand the care and feeding of the customer. Oh, so refreshing. Why no litter? There are 2 camouflaged cans near the entrance for our use as we're unloading our vehicle. Yes, there was a dolly for out use in the lobby area. Staff was helpful and attentive. Morning breakfast was good, and the breakfast staff was attentive to the guests and the levels of food available. The location is centrally located near a Walmart, fuel stations, most oft used travel routes, etc. Suggestions: add towel hanging hooks in the bathroom, a/c system is a bit wonky, while the elevator is overly spacious it is a bit slow (which enabled me to use the stairs), ask the customer if they'd like a room with shower only or shower/bath combo bathroom, and finally ... the sheets. Please upgrade the sheets to a higher quality. The pillows are good, the sheets not so much.

If you have to stay in Eunice, you will probably stay here…read more I have been to Eunice two or three times in the past couple of years. I stayed here every time. Why? Because there aren't many hotels in town. This may even be the only one. Does that mean it's bad? Nope. In fact, I am kind of surprised by the negative reviews. My experience has been that this is a decent place to stay. The Holiday Inn Express chain used to be my go-to travel hotel. Clean, free breakfast and reasonable rates were the norm. The chain has dropped significantly since I first started staying in them years ago. Now they are overrun with traveling workers. Almost every location I used to visit is packed with them, and their trucks, and they have made a family hotel less family friendly. It is not that they are obscene but I no longer want to fight for parking and deal with all that they bring to the chain. Although the chain has fallen off in recent years, this location was clean and had few people when I visited. Yes, there were giant work trucks but the hotel wasn't full. Breakfast was OK but the main benefit was the coffee. The room was clean and decent. I opted for a suite so I had a little extra room. If you are staying in Eunice, add this HIE to your list.

The hotel manager would only reduce the reservation to 1 night for 2 rooms at a cost of about $200. She would not cancel the reservations altogether. She said she is only following policy. Best Western main line said she it was the hotel's decision to cancel the reservation. In the future, I will not be staying here, but instead, I will stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Opelousas, LA.

Checking in, my husband paid for room for 2 adults and 2 children in case we had grandkids with us. He had asked for a double room but did not get one and was told by the woman at the desk he needed to "learn how to book a hotel room" which was not ok. We were there for a baseball tournament and after a very late baseball game, we decided to give our room to family members (2 adults, 2 children) because they did not have a room for the night. As we were showing them to the room, this management couple, who were watching on video, followed us to our room demanding to know if our family were staying with us or visiting. They made a big unnecessary scene in front of our grandchildren which is unacceptable!! We left our family there for the night and the lady had words for us as we left the lobby. She even had words with our family about the situation...who also had issues including not being able to eat the breakfast the three days they stayed it was so horrible! We returned the next day to check on our family and the management couple were arguing loudly in the hallway. We would never feel comfortable staying here though we paid for the two rooms we had booked. As far as the property goes it is in serious need of updating. We have stayed in similar properties but nice customer service made up for it. Not here! There is no excuse for these people and the way they treat their guests--especially the woman's horrible attitude. Do yourself a favor and go down the road to Opelousas...we were greeted with great customer service and a nice room far away from these people and this awful property!

This hotel surprisingly had 4.4 stars on Google and 3.6 on Yelp. We decided to give it a shot. We stay at Hilton properties often and haven't had issues. We checked in around midnight and needed to get straight to bed. As soon as we walked into the room, we were hit with a strong smell of cigarette smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. I paid the upgrade fee to get a room on the first floor near an exit door. When I went into the bathroom, it was obvious the shower had not been cleaned. There was a dirty, wet towel on the shower floor and the floor itself was filthy. We were only a few hours from home, so I skipped showering altogether. It felt more like a rundown motel than a Hilton. The bed wasn't much better--the fitted sheet kept popping off because it wasn't the correct size. We were exhausted, so we tried calling the front desk for help, but the phone just rang and rang. Does anyone even work here? Like I said, we needed to get straight to bed. Personal reason for why I wasn't able to go to the front desk when we arrived. On this trip alone, I stayed at four different Hilton properties and didn't have a single problem anywhere else. This experience was completely unacceptable. Pros: - Great location (right off the highway with lots of nearby stores) - The room itself was spacious - Despite everything, I was eventually able to get some sleep Cons: - Strong smoke odor in a non-smoking room - Shower was dirty with a used towel left behind - Incorrect bed sheets - Zero customer service Unfortunately this was my experience and I really wish it weren't this bad. This stay did not meet Hilton standards at all.

With that said, the main reason for such a high rating is the breakfast. For such a quaint hotel in a small town I was impressed with the variety of options. A DIY waffle bar, various grab and go items, hot food, pastries, coffee and More! Plus all the staff seemed very pleasant

The Hotel has new owners, but same management and the prior owner, Roberta, visits often. The Hotel has very nice rooms with the usual amenities. The coffee pot is communal, the manager instructs on its use, first guest up starts the brewing.
