We did tell them that we were handicapped. To make matters worse there was a semi with a refrigeration unit running just outside our room. The driver could have parked anywhere in the lot but had to park by our room. I complained to the clerk but nothing was done to correct the problem. I would not recommend this hotel for these reasons. Sometimes a good price is just not worth it.

Dirty, one towel for 3 nights (no housekeeping until the 4th day of stay) and an attitude when you try to get towels from the desk. Checkout is at 11, got to my room after closing ceremonies at 1105 to grab bags (I checked in 20 minutes after guaranteed time, mind you) to find the room key was deactivated. Staff couldn't open the door for me, to retrieve my already packed bags, "by new policy this morning". Also, the conference area is through the casino- so you have to show your ID to even attend the conference WHICH THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE ENTRY OPTION. This is a horrible establishment, of which's operating procedures also make absolutely no sense. 0/10, would not recommend.

The rooms were very nice. We stayed in the king suite, very well laid out. Only complaint is they had a steamer and not an iron. Doesn't work the same, but oh well. The decor was nice, the bed was comfortable, the AC was rocking. Really enjoyed the room. Whomever stayed there previously not only changed the time on the clock, but set an alarm at an ungodly hour. Well played. The casino is a bit smaller than Golden Nugget across the street. The lower ceilings give it a smaller, cozier feel. No luck on the slots here, but we did get into some blackjack. Under the tutelage of Justin T. I now have a new favorite card game. I had previously stayed away from the tables. By the time we checked in all the restaurants had closed, so we didn't get to try any of the food here. The wait staff in the casino were not very attentive and did not return with our drinks. When we found the guy later in the same spot that we ordered in, he said he had been back and that we had left even though we hadn't moved since we had been there. Always fun catching the BS. So well I can rate the lack of service, I can't rate the quality of the drinks because I didn't have one. Maybe next time. Parking here is easy, there's a huge lot outside. I booked and fully paid for a smokers room over a week ago and ended up in a non smoker room. I almost lit up as soon as I walked in but luckily asked the bell boy to confirm if it was a smokers room. He let me know he was not sure since he was under the impression they only had one smokers floor (floor 10) however he was confident that I would not be charged since as I was walking down the hall it clearly smelled like DANK. He said he had also heard of multiple guests staying , smoking and "nothing happening" when they left. I was still uneasy so we tried calling the front desk multiple times from my room just to double check. No answer. Finally I went down to the front desk and saw there was a long line. I also saw there was a L'auberge employee standing off to the side so I walked up thinking I could ask him a question. He completely ignored me. I got in the line right before the line essentially tripled in length with only two people at the desk. Of course as soon as I get to the front of the regular people line, three other people got in the vip line. VIP is when you are already a reward member AND book through the hotel site directly. More points, more perks. Do I as a first time customer AND birthday girl get that, no of course not. So as I waited for the big spenders to get taken care of I finally reached the front of the line. I asked to confirm if I was in a smokers room and was informed that I was not and would not be able to be properly placed into the room I paid for over a week before my booking. I was told to come back after 3:30 am and at that time I would be able to see if they had any availability. I came back just to be told I would have to wait until morning time to get my room situation fixed. I was really frustrated on my birthday because as my friends were checking in, we noticed the hospitality of the staff and cleanliness of the hotel decline significantly.
