The rooms at the Seven Clans Hotel are nice. They are large and the bathroom is a good size as well. The bed was comfortable and I had plenty of pillows. The room was clean and it had a modern decor. It's a good hotel to be at if you are in the area and you are gambling. read more

We absolutely LOVE this hotel. I truly do not have any complaints. I have stayed here a few times and absolutely, and I have enjoyed every visit. My daughter loves the hotel as well. The rooms are actually larger than a casino resort I've stayed at in Lake Charles. It is geared towards family in my opinion. The rooms come with a mini fridge. At the end of the hallways is a small room with a microwave and a few vending machines. So a guest bringing their own food would not be a problem. Everyone is so pleasant here, from valet, front desk, housekeeping, the few restaurants in the area, and the staff at the pool. If you stay here, you just have to try the beignets. They are delicious and one of our favorite treats to have when we are here. I like how housekeeping straightens up. I watched a special on how a lot of hotels DO NOTchange the sheets. Well here, several times when I have gone back to my room early in the day, housekeeping must have a system. I noticed that all of the bed linen for each room is removed and used to prop open the door on the floor. All of the bath towels for each room are piled right outside to the left. This could be seen coming down the hallway. This made me feel more at ease when it came to that. To access the elevator to get to your rooms, you need your room key. Even the rooms on the first floor are the same way. I like the added security. read more

I picked this hotel for my birthday, because of the reviews here. We have always stayed at L' Auberge and have had excellent service and complementary rooms, yet I figured why not give this a try? I am extremely disgusted with how unsanitary the room was. Dust was in every inch of the room and the floors were dirty. I contacted the front desk but never got resolution and paid a good amount to stay here! I also emailed the staff upon my departure and was just told that housekeeping would be contacted, that's the best resolution? I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, I also got charged twice on my credit card and have heard nothing from the hotel staff with an explanation. This is probably the worst experience I have ever had at a casino "resort". read more

This is a really nice hotel with some pretty cool things. 1st off our room was clean and freezing when we arrived. I was thrilled I didn't have to walk into a hot room. The bed was comfortable and pillows as well. If you like to sleep in a freezing cold room like we do, I suggest to plan ahead and ask for extra blankets. I can promise you what's on the bed will not be enough. The shower is amazing as well with 2 different shower heads. There's a bar in the lobby that's a great place to hang out before you head into the casino. Really my only complaint is that the casino isn't smoke free, but I really didn't expect it to be. I sometimes get offered and use free promotions to stay here. So, while free sounds good, please don't consider me ungrateful as I spend a lot of time in free casino hotel rooms. The ladies of age, that I work with, love this place. They rave about the restrooms and how well the beds sleep. I, on the other hand, just find this place ok. The elevator carpet is very worn, the hallways are dingy, and the rooms are on the small side. This is the newest property; however, The Grand Hotel is the newest renovation. I prefer to stay at Seven Clans because the entire property is non- smoking. Whereas, only some of the rooms within The Grand Hotel are non-smoking. Add to that, it's atop the playing floor and I don't want to get trapped in a non-smoking, but smelling like smoke, room... Rooms also have a small refrigerators, which have certainly come in handy when keeping my uneaten, cheap, but free, casino food cool for the ride home. read more

While the casino is pretty icky, this hotel is actually nice! Very roomy room with a very comfortable bed, nice linens & very clean room. Nicely appointed & furnished, I enjoyed my last stay. The bathroom is big with a walk in shower. Hotel staff are really nice & greet you when they see you. Housekeeping is stellar. read more

My husband brought me here for my birthday get away this weekend, and we will definitely be back again. The fact that the casino is just downstairs makes it more accessible to head back to your room whenever you want, especially if you had one too many...lol. He reserved a king bedroom and it had wonderful amenities. The shower had waterfall fixtures along with wonderful smelling complimentary shampoos and soaps. The room included a safe, mini fridge, complimentary keurig coffee and waters, a nice view out the window, iron/board, and more. They also have room service. Downstairs, there is a bar, coffee shop, and a gift shop before you make your way into the casino. We were treated very well and would highly recommend this place to all our friends and family! read more

LIKES: Love this hotel. The amenities are what make it one of my favorite casino hotels ever. I absolutely love the sitting area with the two-sided fireplace. Enjoy a book with a latte or just site with your friends (PJs Cafe located right there as well as the Bar Seven. The hotel includes a ceiling shower, keurig coffee maker, a microwave down the hall at the vending machines. Lots of channels to watch if you prefer to stay in the room. Love the casino which has over 2800 slots. PJs Cafe had great selection of pastries and coffees. Perfect location too. Free Wifi everywhere! DISLIKES: Terrace Cafe service not the best, but it could've been the waitress who ignored us and brought our appetizer the same time as our meal. She then forgot to bring ketchup, mustard, mayo for our burgers and we couldn't get her attention. Burgers were good though even without the condiments. Blue Sky Steakhouse was a disappointment too. Filet Minion was dry even though I had mine cooked medium rare. Smoke is so bad in the casino. I wish they would do a survey to see how many people would prefer a non-smoking casino. Maybe the smokers should have to go to the dark, unwelcoming non-smoking circus-like casino section with all the old slots. Just saying! read more

Ok. We had a reservation at Coushatta because my husband's company had an event there. We went there with our kid because it is a hotel with a kids club! So we never checked if it was a kid free hotel! Right? You never think that a hotel with a big kids club wouldn't allow kids to stay! But obviously, it was! So they kicked us out to Seven Clans, which is the sister hotel. When we arrived, they tried to charge us a higher amount (although this is supposed to be a cheaper version). And the online prices was even cheaper. When we showed them the lower prices on hotels.com, they told us to go make a reservation online! So standing there at the front desk we made a reservation online! (what a manager! She can't give us the same rate and ease our day, but told us we're free to make a reservation online if we want to!). But it's not over yet! Then the wait starts!! Because now the manager has to receive the confirmation from hotels.com and do whatever she needs to do and keep you waiting. read more

The hotel itself is nice, but our room was terribly dirty. There was hair everywhere, not our hair. A simple vacuuming and sweeping in the bathroom would have gone a long way. It also appeared our room hadn't been dusted in quite a while. We usually stay at the Inn and it was better taken care of, and that's not saying much. read more

I originally booked a room at the Inn at Coushatta and we were moved to the Seven Clans Hotel which I can not complain about since the rooms are lovely here. My complaint is not about the room quality but rather the level of hospitality shown. The main reason for staying at a hotel on the casino grounds and spending nearly double on a room was because of the Dream Pool. My 12 year old son is with us and so our plan was to get to the hotel around 4, gamble for the evening and then swim and shower the next day before check out at noon. Our plans were ruined last minute when after changing and walking to the dream pool we found that it was closed. We went to the front desk to inquire and were told that the pool does not open until noon. Check out is at noon. Does that make a lot of sense? I understand school is back in session for some but my son does not go back until next week. We could not take vacation until now. When booking the room the website stated nothing about the pool being closed at this time. We were told at the front desk (by the supervisor) that the pool is an amenity of the hotel and there was nothing that could be done about it. My partner did say something out of hand about the ladies unprofessional appearance (she tried to tell us the hickey on her neck was a burn which is besides the point I could care less about that) her tone at the end of the conversation was very condescending. I have worked in customer service (retail which is even more trivial so complaints about things like 20% off glitter) so I am very familiar with the "Thank you have a nice day" said between gritted teeth. I did not appreciate that since this was a valid complaint in my opinion. You come to a "family friendly" casino to have a bit of family fun and are deprived that. We did not go to Lake Charles even though it would have been closer because of the appeal of the pool. I am not asking for any type of monetary compensation which I am sure that is what it sounds like but more of just wanting to vent out my frustrations and make a suggestion. A little empathy and understanding instead of the snark we were met with would have made us at least feel a little better about the wasted morning. An otherwise nice trip was ruined by the bad taste left in our mouth from the treatment we were met with. The shower is awesome and the room is very clean and everyone was super friendly until we had a complaint about something that is an "amenity" and supposedly separate from the hotel even though for a lot of families it is probably the deciding factor in spending the extra money to stay at the casino/come to Coushatta vs a different casino. read more

Compared to the Coushatta Inn next door this place is the Four Seasons, Intercontinental, and Ritz Carlton rolled into one. We just had a great stay here at the Seven Clans. The hotel and room are all very modern and clean. The bed was super comfy and all the staff were friendly. The casino is connected to this hotel so you don't have to migrate across the parking lot like you have to if staying at the Inn. We stayed at the Coushatta Inn last time and it was the worst experience of our lives. Clans is a little pricier but WELL worth the extra money. I would rather sleep in my car than at the Inn again. read more

Why isn't my wife able to move to another room after notifying the front desk of their bed bugs? I understand they just deep cleaned the floor but that doesn't give the right to decline the move. I'm a first time yelp poster but the seven clans hotel deserves a review. My wife and I stayed here for two nights. We are now in love with it. The wife loved the bathroom and rain fall shower (of coarse) and I melted into a cloud that they some how turned into a mattress and pillow. The kureig coffee maker was a nice modern touch along with USB charge ports. The best part is it was a five star hotel for our two star budget with all the deals they offer. We may not be high rollers at the casinos as we play the night away on penny slots but the staff and room service made us feel like VIPs. The worst part of staying there was when we had to check out and stay the last night in a different hotel. We cannot wait to stay here again. A great place to stay whether you are gambling or not. The rooms are very nice with all the amenities including a safe (for all the money you win, HaHa) and a great overhead and sideways shower. The lobby has a nice bar and coffee shop in case you want to sit in front of the fire place and read or watch the people. The pool is over crowded in the summer but not bad before school lets out. It's just a short walk down a long hallway to a very nice casino. read more
