Tasy looking breakfast menu still being served at 11:45, but we opted for a cheee platter and a cold cuts platter. Well presented qualty produce ham, potted chicken, slami and a gorgeous hot tomato, red pepper and chorizo dish (the tenderest chorizo I have tasted melt in the mouth). The cheese platter had a good array of cheeses complimented with chutney, appe and celery. Washed down with a pint of Ubu or Doom Bar a worthy lunch time treat! BTW looks to be a favourite Mumsy morning meeting place lots of Mums and kids in evidence when we arived at 11:30 :-)

Review of McRib Experience (16th October)…read more I've been waiting for the McRib to return for a while, so I bought two. Right away, I noticed a nasty smell in my car, which I thought might just be odd. When I got home and opened the pack, the bun was completely soggy due to an excessive amount of sauce, and the smell was really off-putting. I thought, "It's the McRib, it'll be okay." However, after taking a bite, I realized something was very wrong. The taste was horrid; the best way I can describe it is like burnt sick on a soggy bun. It was utterly disgusting, and I couldn't finish it. I decided to take the McRibs back to the store. When I explained to the staff that the burgers were not right, the woman insisted they hadn't changed. But I could tell they have. The smell and taste were so poor that I had to return them. I got a refund and expressed my disappointment. This was a terrible burger experience, and the staff wasn't particularly helpful. The McRib definitely isn't the same as it used to be. If this is how it's going to be, they might as well scrap it altogether. The smell was unbearable. Rating: Very Poor

A very handy McDonalds today! We were on our way to Bournemouth from Leeds and got hungry right at…read morethe point that this place's beautiful golden arches hovered above the treeline, so we went in for breakfast. The McMuffins were tasty and hot and freshly made, the hash browns were cooked juuust right, and the lattes were creamy and delicious. So why the missing two stars? Because the staff were very loud. Really, really loud. As in, we were seated over the other side of the restaurant and I know what the people at the back of the kitchen are doing over the weekend. Also, the toilets were a state (picture supplied, although I didn't take my photographical skills further into the cubicles for it'd put you off your own breakfast), and the floor was minging in the restaurant, covered in bits of food, wrappers and receipts. There were none of those little paper pots for the barbeqizzle or tomato sauces, and to put the icing on the cake, when I asked for ketchup, the 'yoof' behind the counter called me 'madam'. Cheeky.

Situated on the High Street in Newport Pagnell, just walking past will make your mouth water. If you love traditional chips, covered in vinegar and a batter that is super tasty (and not too greasy), then this is the chippy for you. The staff are always polite and the place is always sparkling clean. It's not the cheapest (a large portion of chips and fish will set you back around the five pound mark), but the quality is always excellent.

Their customer service is terrible. I've had a number of bad experiences with Oceans…read more My first, I had ordered a large chips and four chocolate cake slices. The majority of us that wanted to order food wanted dessert. Nothing wrong with that! Any normal business that doesn't have it stocked would phone and offer an alternative. Not Oceans! A grumpy and very rough Chinese looking bloke (Can't call him a gent) turned up at the door late, handed me the food and without eye contact muttered angrily Not doing this again. Got to be mostly proper food. Excuse me? I simply took this as a challenge. If they sell it, have it in stock and it's above the amount of money they're asking for delivery, then they deliver it! I simply explained how I write reviews, he'll be getting a negative one, and this isn't going to stop me if we all want cake. They are terrible with timing. When they say they'll be here at a certain time, I expect it 5 minutes either side of that time, and that's me being lenient. Arriving 40 minutes before the time stated is not acceptable. The last time we ordered, it was at 5pm. They stated the expected delivery time as 5:40. 10 minutes later we phoned and asked whether we could delay it until 6pm, as we still had cleaning to do in the house. The man on the phone rudely kept exiting the conversation to mutter at another man in a foreign language and giggle. He would then put the phone back to his ear and say Hello? This happened three times in one phone call. When I finally managed to say that we'd like the food 20 minutes later than the expected time, they said No, he's on the way now. I said No, the expected time is in half a hour and the shop is only 5 minutes away. After the mini struggle it was made clear they would be delivering to us at 6 or we cancel this order. We wouldn't have made such a fuss, but they were planning on delivering half a hour early! Why have I ordered again? 1 My fiancé used to like the chicken nuggets (Though last time he said they weren't very nice). And 2 I love a challenge. I'm a woman that stands up for herself and demands proper customer service. I'll bet the rude Chinese bloke was either fired or scared of me, as they now send a different, more polite man!

I find them not too greasy (really, it is chips we are talking about!) as sometimes chips are just more greasy than they need.
