I came across their listing for a 2009 Acura MDX, and reached out to Brian, the manager at the Bangor location, as I know him from church. I could not have asked for better car buying experience. In working with Brian and Rusty, I was able to take the car for an extended test drive to see how would work for my family. I was also able to take it to my preferred mechanic to get it thoroughly checked over without getting any hassle like you may get from other dealerships. The trade-in value that I was offered was excellent, and the final price I paid for the vehicle was more than fair given the superb condition of the SUV. Throughout the entire process, everyone was open and honest about all aspects of the deal. All in all, I would highly recommend Right Way Auto if looking for a high-quality pre-owned vehicle. Could not be happier!

I was skeptical at first because I live in Augusta and thought I would have to eventually visit the dealership. Boy was I wrong. Once we decided on a vehicle - it was brought to home in Augusta for a test drive and then the finance application was done on-line and all paperwork was delivered with the car once we agreed on the price and delivery date. What an awesome experience! We bought the 2016 Buick Enclave and are overjoyed.

Eddington Auto Sales - '87 Grand Prix!

Eddington is in the middle of nowhere out on the Airline but if you're in the market for a used…read morevehicle, it's worth the trek out here to check this place out. Warning: this is going to be long because I am going to get really fucking nostalgic. When I was 19, I happened to spot a car in their lot and HAD to check it out. It was a week or so before I had to go back to college for my junior year and I was damned if I was gonna travel by Greyhound ever again....so when I saw this faded oxidized-maroon '87 Grand Prix sitting in their lot with a flat tire and a riveted-on hood scoop (which, by the way, was sporting mailbox stickers proclaiming "355") I was instantly in love. You may think it's funny but I am serious as a heart attack. I was with my sister and her bf at the time, so we pulled in and checked it out. I asked to try it out....the guy pumped up the tire, we all piled in, and as soon as he got it out on the road he laid a 20-foot strip of rubber and I was sold. I took a turn with it myself ("If you get a speeding ticket, you have to pay it!" the guy said -- sorry dude, I can't remember your name) and was happily greeted by an engine that wanted to GO GO GO. Man, that thing loved to run! Meanwhile in the back seat, my sister and Scotty were laughing at the roaches in the ashtrays and the bottle of Visine on the floor...the car had nothing if not character. $800 was the price tag....I had nothing on me at the time so we busted ass for Machias, I conned my dad into cosigning my first-ever loan (a little extra because that shit needed tires!!), and I came back the next day. When I was sitting in the office going over the paperwork, I learned a couple other interesting things about the car. It was used as a drag car at Winterport previously (hence the bored-out 350, the ratchet shifter, and several other modifications). And it may have been used for something else a little shady because when I commented on all the guns resting up against the wall, the guy said offhand "Oh, yeah, those were in the trunk of your car when I got it off the auction." Ha! I had many years of enjoyment with that car. I would drag race the shit out of everyone and anyone at traffic lights. I was the only redneck at my uppity college and got a lot of stares from people (what, you've never seen a bolt-on hood scoop before?). My bf at the time and I spent a day spraypainting it black in his dooryard. I would just take that thing for rides in order for something to do, anything to do, because it was always so much fun (and 93-octane was $1.25, le sigh). My friend Maggie once asked me if the hood-pins "made it go faster". And when I got t-boned by an old fart back in 2001 and the car was totaled, I cried for WEEKS (and if I think about it long enough even now, I'll get all blubbery). I did buy my next car, a '77 Grand Prix, from the cop who came to the accident scene, actually. O_o Anyway, so probably a year or so later, I was driving through Eddington once more and the same thing happened -- a car caught my eye and I had to have it. This time it was an '89 Olds Trofeo. I bought it right then and there with my trusty MasterCard (and traded in the '77 GP....I loved it, but I couldn't maintain that monster). That car lasted me for many more happy years and from what I hear, it's still going strong with its subsquent owner even now. As an aside, I sold the engine from my '87 and THAT was installed in a lobster boat last I heard. Ahh, the Circle of Life. So a lot of storytelling here, but not much substance about the business, right? Well, what I can say is that they are honest sellers here. Both times I bought from them, they were straightforward with me about the cars I was interested in. Anything that was wrong was disclosed without a blink. Pricing is more than fair. Paperwork is done fast and you are out the door with minimal fuss. Everything is sold as-is and nobody tries to talk you into extra warranties and shit like that. Your typical rural Maine way of doing things -- upfront, no frills, no fluff. If I hadn't moved away, I probably would have continued to get my cars here exclusively. Thanks for the memories, Eddington Auto! :D

You had to be trustworthy, fair, reliable, offer great customer service and reasonable prices. Mike at Eddington Auto is one such man. He cares that his customers are safe and satisfied.
