Each time I have visited here, the staff has always been very nice and helpful. When it comes to discounts and sales, unfortunately this place falls short. Accept for select bag items, many of the large inventory items don't go on sale, or at least that is what we were told by the sales guy. We were told that due to the wide array of Key West events that take place throughout the year, there is always a high demand for costume wear and other items. I wouldn't say there are great deals available price wise, but there is definitely a decent stock of various items to accomplish your last minute needs. If you are near Zero Duval for sunset, take a quick right on Front Street. Directly across from Island Dogs is Fairvilla. Take a stroll through. At first glance this looks like an 'adult' store (Think Pleasure Emporium) because of the racy attire displayed in the windows in front of the building, next to the main entrance. And while it does contain several 'adult' themed things inside it is actually a costume shop as well. We came inside here because it looked interesting, and also to beat the heat, we thought it would be a fun adventure. The place is HUGE.. there is anything you can imagine in there. Wigs, shoes, lingerie, videos, make-up, etc. One of the floor salesmen walked us through the entire store. He explained that while there were several 'adult' themed things in there that they drew most of their business from events like 'Fantasy Fest'. That people come in from all over to buy some crazy outfits to wear out that night. I found everything in there to be reasonably priced.. My fiance tried on this ENORMOUS afro wig.. like I'm talking big.. it was probably like a foot and a half from his head.. and it was only $35. So that's not too bad.. they also have so many costumes along the walls... anything you can imagine. There are naughty ones but there are really funny ones too. Its an interesting and fun place to check out if you're in the keys. The employees are so helpful and chipper. I had never had so much fun just walking around a store before. read more

I spotted the Fairvilla Megastore while walking out of Rum Barrel and down the street, trying to rejoin the Duval St. crowd. I stopped because there was easily seen hat display right at the entrance, and for anyone that know me should also know my love for hats, so I just have to step in and take a look. As soon as I walked in, I totally realized what kind of megastore this is. This is kind of like Adam & Eve, combine with year-round supplies of garments and outfits and accessories for Halloween/Mardi Gras/Fantasy Fest. It is a megastore because there are multiple sections, carrying different styles of stuffs: hats and fest masks up front, cute and sexy and just outright ridiculous outfits hanging up high all around the stores, and you can find more "exotic" accessories in the back. The cosplay freak inside of me want to grab the sleeping back from the back of my car and just camp here, for the next 3-5 weeks. I swear when I was inside the entire time, I cannot avert my stare away from this one man, who the only appropriate description I can give is, Freddie Mercury, wearing military hat, and black fishnet beater top, and hot pink Daisy Duke jean shorts, and red Chucks. *DANGEROUS FOR YOUR WALLET!* I love this store, I can't go in there without buying some cute new frilly thing or a mask or something with feathers or fishnets. The staff is so friendly and helpful, for anyone new to an adult store they put you at ease and make you comfortable. They really want you to leave satisfied. They really won me over on my last trip, I bought this amazing lacy under-thing and once I got home and pulled it from the shopping bag I noticed that one of the ribbons got caught in the bottom of the bag and unraveled the ribbon halfway up the garment in a stringy mess. I was so disappointed and called the shop. Even though they don't give refunds or exchanges generally on undergarments (understandable) they made an exception for me because of the situation and were nice enough to replace the garment for me. They didn't have another in my size so they allowed me to credit the cost and get something else I liked in the store instead. That they would go so far to make me leave satisfied was really important to me, like most places I wasn't made to feel like I was only a "dollar sign" to them. Excellent Customer Service.
