The lovely woman I spoke with about 15 hours ago didn't want to allow me to see Dr. Kidd for a change to my prescription because I 1) couldn't be dilated (I am very sensitive to it and need to get a ride) and 2) I didn't want the eye numbing agent that is has an obscene amount of artificial yellow dye in it. I said, "Ok, well then maybe I should find a different doctor if what I'm uncomfortable with isn't OK?" She replied, "That probably would be best!" To whoever runs this practice - I would politely suggest you monitor your receptionists. You lost my ENTIRE FAMILY as patients with that one receptionist today. The worst place I have ever been. Part of the exam was done by the receptionist! Consumer beware. I…read moremade an appointment online for an eye appointment, waited in the lobby 15 minutes past my appointment. The 2 assistants (who are very nice) did my intake, but I declined the retinal scanning (just did somewhere else and did not want to pay the $45). I was then informed that the optometrist is remote, not in the office, and needs the retinal scanning to perform the eye exam. I just needed a prescription for eyeglasses. I replied that if it's required for the eye exam then it should be covered by them. They went to speak with the manager, who said I needed to pay for the retinal exam if I wanted to proceed. I left. False advertisement and bait and hook? No thank you.
