Just a great place and the staff is so friendly...just like strong down and having a home cooked meal, without breaking your pockets...

Greenville doesn't have too many original diners, but Stax has been a staple in the community and…read moreStax Omega stands out from the other diners here. Wait time was surprisingly not long. I went at 11am on a Sunday during peak church hours and though we have 15 reservations ahead of us, we only waited for 20 minutes or so, The food is really good. My friend thought her omelette and potatoes were great. The blueberry waffles I thought were good. Nothing special to say, but it's hard to mess up waffles in my opinion and Stax Omega sure didn't miss. I love consistently and Stax Omega is a great consistent and clean diner. If you are looking for a place to take the family to, especially when the grandparents are involved, this is a great option. And I have to emphasize again: LESS than a 30 minute wait when I had 15 RESERVATIONS ahead of me!

Their breakfast is what keeps me coming back. Everything is done right, and it hits the spot every single time. And the desserts? Absolutely incredible -- I can never leave without one (or two). Great food, and clearly a lot of other people agree. Stax Omega has earned its crowd. If you haven't been yet, get in line -- you won't regret it! The only thing that I would change is the waiting area and being limited to only checking in through their tablet. There should be a way to check in without confirming at the tablet, to which there's always a crowd in front of.

After waiting, the cashier said "Hi," so I thought she was speaking to me, but she was actually answering the phone and took a full order before helping me. I also had to ask for a menu because one wasn't offered. Anywho, the restaurant felt extremely crowded with very little space between tables and walkways. Someone stepped on my foot, and another customer asked if I could give up my seat so their group could sit. The biggest issue was the packaging. My containers were placed upside down in the bag, and the butter inside the box had no lid, so it spilled everywhere and was already a mess when I opened the bag in my car. When I went back to notify the waitresses at the counter and ask for napkins, I was told the boxes were always packed upside down "on purpose," but that explanation didn't make sense since it caused the food to flip over and the butter to spill all over everything. (I have photos showing this). The food tasted good, but after everything I experienced, I won't be returning. For those curious about the cost, my receipt was $19.33 and after a $5 tip I paid $24.33 total.
