Clock of Laurens - congrats on the new management but the taste of the food needs much, much work. Service was fantastic; friendly and professional but the $48.00 I spent was not at all worth the meal experience ‍ I stopped in on April 21st early afternoon to pick up a couple of dinners (no drinks just two meals and a scrawny side of fried mushrooms). My salmon tasted like it came directly from the ocean onto the plate - zero seasonings, baked potato was loaded with what is best described as 4 day old cold burnt bacon, and the collard greens straight out of the can with no seasoning added to give flavor. Even the fried mushrooms were soggy - how can you do that unless left sitting in grease. Very disappointed. I do wish you the best going forward. read more

Diner meets fast food joint! There's an extensive menu and it all seems kind of fair to midland. I tried the chili cheeseburger and again it was fair to midland. I was hoping for a home cooked vibe but got institutional kitchen. The onion rings were "not so bad" and the Mac n cheese was edible but below par. It seems the money is spent on the building and dining area which was excellent. Very warm and comfy for a family restaurant feel. The staff is top shelf which is to be expected in rural South Carolina. There is a confusion when it comes to the type of place. When I walked in I was seated and had full table service but only discovered after my lunch that I need to pay at the register. This is a bit weird that the waitress can't take payment at the table. To surmise my review I'd say it's a nice family joint and should be tried just don't expect a wow factor for your meal. read more

We went there for spaghetti and meatballs and a double cheeseburger plate with fries. We both had potato and bacon soup as our second side. The soup was homemade and WONderful. The cheeseburger was cooked to perfection, kind of like a whopper, with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Only way better, fresh and tasty! My husband is also in love with their veal parm. My entire family ordered chili cheeseburgers. I cannot describe how delicious they were. The chili was not overpowering; it was delicious. The burgers were juicy and delicious. I also ordered French fried and coleslaw. The fries were crispy crinkle cuts. The coleslaw was tasty. Members of my family ordered onion rings, a sweet potato and fried okra. Everything was delicious. One of our burgers did not come out with the rest. The server was very honest and told us that it had been made incorrectly two times. She apologized several times. I thanked her for her honesty. Service was quick and the server was cordial. We were unsure about this restaurant as it looked like the food might have the taste of "out of a can, processed, out of the freezer." It was delicious and far exceeded our expectations. Visited this location while working in town and thoroughly enjoyed the very friendly service, attentiveness of the staff and the awesome tasting food. They give you more than enough as I had the fish sandwich with fries & a side salad (2 sides came with the sandwich). I will probably make 1 more visit before I go. Although I was highly disappointed with what was supposed to be homemade cheesecake as the appearance in my to go container wasn't presentable, there was no crust and the taste was not good at all. We had breakfast here yesterday. Bacon, eggs, biscuit and hash browns. Nothing bad to say. They kept my tea glass full. The bacon was crispy. The eggs were over light and neither yolk was popped. The hash browns were crispy and not greasy at all. Simple breakfast, simply well done. read more

Personally, I really like this place. The food is always good and the service is really nice. The menu has so many choices some of the ones I really like are the steak and cheese sandwich, any of the burgers, the Grilled Chicken Salad is always good(I get extra pickles). Haven't eaten here in a while until last night but me and my family ordered cheeseburger plates and mine was supposed to be a double chilly cheese burger which they put chilli on my sons instead of mine but no big deal. Well half wY through eating my meal i look down at an onion ring and was a hair that looked to be fried wrapped around it and my son pulled one from his fries. My wife made the manager aware of it and he asked if wanted a discount from our meal which we refused but management should have taken care of meal without asking. This is my favorite restaurant in Laurens, SC. Their omelettes and pancakes are outstanding: large and fresh. The veggie omelette is particularly good. After breakfast, try the Greek salad or the chicken fried chicken (hot, fresh, and crispy). Their coffee is also the best regular coffee in town. Service is good (fast and friendly), too! read more
