Like all Fairmonts we have visited, service is a premium and they go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. Breakfast was included in our rate, and while service was very slow at breakfast, they checked on us frequently, and as a team tried their best to rectify that. I appreciated the effort and everyone chipping in to make sure things were done on time. We had a nice cabin by the lake and it was worth the upgrade cost. Huge cabin with very comfortable bed and nice bathroom counter room. A great hotel. read more

This place is absolutely amazing! Level of service from the staff is 10/10! Beautiful new main lodge and cabins and the grounds are v beautiful! Good views from everywhere. Three lovely restaurants plus bars and a bakery! read more

This was wonderful hotel and very different than the types of paces we usually stay. There is a main house with a few rooms but most of the room are sets of attached cabins. The room was very nice and we really enjoyed the experience. As long as their is a nice comfortable bed, a nice size clean bathroom and enough room to sit, I am happy. This place fit the bill. We were here as part of out Rocky Mountaineer trip and they had a staffer with a separate check in for us. You leave the train, they take you over by coach and the baggage is already in the room. The staff was fabulous and everyone was very attentive to any of our needs and always very accommodating. I had only one issue here... lots of people and not a lot of places to eat. A bar and restaurant. My wife and I are used to multiple choices and the ability to walk downtown if we want. Here that was really not an option. We came back late from a tour and it was difficult to be seated. The VERY NICE host took our name and really watched the flow of people and managed to get us in a bit earlier than the reservation we made. Food and atmosphere is good and our server did a wonderful job. (some food pictures attached as well as a separate review.) If I was ever back in the area I would certainly come back but... be better prepared. KUDOs to the team at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge read more

Stayed here for four days and absolutely loved every minute of our experience! Perfect setting, lux accommodations. The room was large and we were upgraded to a lakefront suite that was absolutely adorable and Instagram worthy AF. Slept sooo good! The property is huge, but you don't feel the congestion as you do at the Lake Louise and Banff properties. The restaurants on property were delicious and service was what you would expect at a Fairmont property. Unpretentious five star luxury on every level. We stayed at two Fairmont's during our trip to Banff and Jasper national Park in October 2025 and this was definitely the best of the two! read more

We were on a Rocky Mountaineer Rail Tour, and had a stop in Jasper. We were super impressed with the entire place (with the exception of a dinner at one of the restaurant, detailed in another review). The grounds are immaculate. There is ample space to roam around. Our tour bus dropped us in front of the lodge, but their were shuttles for anyone who had mobility issues. The lodges are similar but different. There are shrubs and trees, and an occasional deer or elk strolling around (eating the bushes). The lodge (and the restaurant) look onto Beauvert Lake which is calm and pristine. The mountains are lovely and always in view. Upon arriving, we were a little hungry. We ended up at the bar seating area where we could order drinks and an abbreviated menu. The appetizers and sandwiches were all very good. We did have an issue, one person in our party was missing luggage. The staff were extremely empathetic; providing some night sleeping clothes, comped the meal, and put out an alert for the missing bag. It was later discovered later that evening in someone else's room. Crises averted! Definitely a place that I would recommend to others. read more

So this is a more chill Fairmont compared to others. Your hotel rooms are more like cabins in a lodge spread throughout the property. Which is cool, but you have to park your car far away from your room. Annoying. To get to the main lobby it's a walk, which is fine. It's a great walk, it's right along the water. It's beautiful. The main lobby is where the reception is, the restaurants, the bar, the planetarium, the spa, the pool, the gym, and there's even a game room. When we first checked in, and we went to our room, our key did not work. So immediately I went in panic mode because I just went through this at another hotel where the keypad battery went out. I thought oh no, not again. I want a new room. But it just turns out there's two door doors to the room so security had to unlock the one on the other side in order to unlock the one on our side. So no need to switch rooms thank God! And the keys worked after that. We went to the main lobby for dinner one night and the food was OK but our waitress was amazing. Then the next night we went to the steakhouse right there, and that was fabulous! We wish we had had more time to go to the planetarium. We did not realize it was right there on property. The guy checking us in was really nice and informative with everything, except that part but I did ask a lot of questions. When you get to the room, you get a bowl of fruit and some sparkling water, which was a nice touch! I noticed the other rooms that we walked by were much bigger and they had a view of the lake so if you can get one of those rooms, those look lovely. And they even had their own little deck. So cute! read more

Beautiful accommodations in Jasper. There are 3 restaurants to choose from and a beautiful view from almost anywhere in the grounds . The staff was amazing. Our server at Orzo, Aileen, was superb. If you go to Orzo, ask to be seated on her session. She is amazing! Also, Tejas, at the front desk, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us tips on what to see and do. We also tried The Nook restaurant, but the experience was not memorable. Daily we took a 3.2 mile walk around the lake and saw Elks, beaver, and many ducks and birds. Everything was perfect. We had our Nespresso in the early mornings, seated at the patio, watching the beautiful surroundings, then carried on with our day. In the end of the day returned to our great room with comfortable beds and good hot shower. Our only complaint was the lack of enough power outlets, otherwise, he had a great stay. read more

Really good food and room we got a complementary upgrade for our room and was really nice

Disappointing, not worth the money for $600+/ night. It's our first experience at fairmont and not a great one . Windows with no screen, air conditioning doesn't work. Wifi doesn't work and is incredibly unstable - It's pointless trying to work in your own room for business. Decor is a meh, cabin vibe with a modernized, luxury bathroom that doesn't fit the theme (though the bathroom is nice). Customer service responses were top tier, but still waiting on a person to try and come fix the issues: air conditioning issues and wifi issues. That was about 10 min ago. 15 min after reporting it, an employee came to "fix" the air conditioning. The ac remote wasn't working, so this really tall 6'3+ employee came and pushed a button that's like 7-8 ft high on the a/c. He was very nice. Remote is still not working, and it's stuck on one setting, but it's better than nothing. What is the thermostat for that's on the wall and not connected to the a/c???? Wifi is still questionable. We will probably have to wait until tomorrow to get it fixed. read more

Jasper National Park is one of most beautiful place in the planet and to have stayed at JPL made our experience even more special. 5 all the way. The view surrounding JPL was just spectacular. The suite we stayed in was fantastic. We had a suite made of 2 rooms, 2 baths, 2 living spaces. Our favorite room was the one facing the lake. The daily service was amazing. The rooms were clean when we got here and remained cleaned with daily services. The feeling of being in the cabin but also having the resort feeling was amazing. They were on top of cleaning & top of things & even delivered breakfast one day. The communication between the staff and I, before and during our stay was hands down the best. We took advantage of the lobby for cocktails, 2 Restaurants, Ice Skating and planetarium. All were amazing. We've stayed at the Fairmont Gold in Banff and to me experience of services are similar (we call and they are here to help). Yes, they don't have the perks of a gold, BUT to me being in a remote place like JPL and still have the resort services was pretty amazing. read more

Total disappointment! Not in the "lodge" as expected, but in a building with filthy walkways and stairs, no elevator, distance to parking. Advised at check in to keep room because it had a view of the lake--it didn't. Smallest bathroom ever. Interminable wait for food which was fair at best. Nearby tables waited over an hour. Dinner reservations were confirmed then cancelled because restaurant was not open, then confirmed again and more. Absolute chaos. The only plus was location and the staff who took us around in golf carts. read more

Note: This review is just for dining at the lodge's Great Hall restaurant. We did not stay at the lodge. There doesn't seem to be a way to just review the restaurant, though. The Lodge has two dining options. You don't have to be staying there to eat at them (we did not stay there). We checked out both but Orso (downstairs) said they had no open tables until 7:30 p.m. As a quick aside, there is a large, labyrinthine basement level under the main lodge that is like a mall heavily weighted towards golf and high end art galleries. We explored it mostly trying to find Orso, which took a while... Also, on the general topic of the lodge itself: this is owned by Fairmont, the same company that owns the Chateau Lake Louise and the Banff Springs Hotel. This lodge is quite nice, but it is not in the same league as the others in terms of grand architecture or stunning scenery. It is still the most expensive and most upscale hotel in Jasper, of course. Parking is in one or two lots a block or so from the lodge. The landscaping is nice, so it's a pleasant stroll down from the lot. You enter via the main doors which had several staff in attendance. Once you enter, the Great Hall (the more casual and larger of the two restaurants) is directly ahead at the rear of the building. it has views of Lac Beauvert and has a terrace for outdoor dining as well. The views are nice. There was a short line when we arrived, but they still had plenty of tables (this was around 5:30 p.m. on a Monday, I think). We opted for a terrace table which luckily had a large sun shade (the afternoon sun warms up the terrace). I went with the burger, which was okay. My wife got the salmon, which she thought was bland. She actually liked a salmon sandwich she got the next day in Jasper (which was a lot cheaper). Our server was attentive. I initially went with a hard cider to drink, which was local and pretty good. Partly, my decision was based on the very limited wine list in the menu. I kept seeing other tables with a variety of wines, so I asked if they had a wine list. They brought me the same original menu, so I gave up on the wine. All in all, if you just want a bit of the Fairmont Lodge experience, there's nothing wrong with grabbing a meal here. It is a bit more expensive than your average comparable meal in Jasper, but you're partly paying for the location. I wanted to like this more than I did. read more

I have stayed at this hotel before as well as other Fairmonts. One thing that is consistent is the customer service. The staff are always very friendly and courteous. Although I've always enjoyed my stays with the fairmont, I must say this time around was a little lacking. We ate dinner at the gastro pub and were less than pleased with our meal. The batter on the fish and chips was raw and tasted like dough. The chicken dish we ordered was very bland and had no seasoning. I can say that I've eaten at the fairmont several times and up until this point have never had a bad meal. I always look forward to eating at a fairmont restaurant because the food is always top notch. We also waited almost 20 mins for a water refill after asking 3 separate waiters for one. After speaking to the manager he did apologize and compensate us for part of the meal. The cabins are a neat concept and go well with the mountain vibe. It is also nice to have the beautiful lake view. That saying, the cabins are LONG overdue for some renovations. Sitting in the room you cannot tell the difference between being at a supposed 5 star establishment vs a run down motel. Our lights were broken and the bed was uneven. Not sure when this was built but everything in our room aside from the toilet, bathroom counter, and thermostat appears to be at least 30 years old. It would be nice if they took the time to renovate some of these rooms. Our bathroom was incredibly small giving you barely any room to get dressed without bumping into something. I definitely would not pay full price for these rooms. I've stayed at nicer rooms at the holiday inn for much less. read more

Arrived when Jasper was having a heat wave. While the cabin had a recently added AC, it was not sufficient to keep us comfortable.

We were in a lake view room. Spent 3 days here. When we first arrived there was no seating on our little patio, eventually they showed up with two chairs which was nice and we hadn't asked yet. Housekeeping never emptied the garbages. We walked our garage to the outdoor receptacles ourselves, they also never replenished the cream for coffee, we had to leave reminders and ask the valet service when he brought the car to us. We also had to request our robes as they hadn't brought them either. Unfortunately, no extra blankets were in the room either so you couldn't use that at night when it got cold. The bathroom was itty bitty. There's no fan so when you shower it gets incredibly moist and foggy. Two people cannot fit inside the bathroom. The door to the washroom should swing out towards the room to allow for some space to move. Parking lot was incredibly icy, there was gravel in some areas but no one was keeping on top of it as temps in the day made the snow and ice melt. We ordered a charcuterie for our last night. It says it comes with mustards. Ours was missing that. They also don't give you cutlery so you can't cut the cheeses provided and no napkins. For a high end hotel I would assume they'd understand basics like providing means to eat your food or clean your room. That was very disappointing. Not worth the price they charge for food. It was an experience next time we will stay closer to town and be closer to downtown to walk to get food and drinks. Pros: the views were amazing. A lot of wildlife. Hot tub was quiet and hot. read more

So I went in with high expectations. There's always been a fair amount of hype at the JPL. This was my first visit. It's beautiful. But overall I think it's very pricey for the stay we had. Our room seemed dated and a bit dingey considering I had upgraded from just a basic room. The sound proofing between rooms is definitely lacking. You could almost perfectly hear whole conversations through the connecting door between the suites which made me very self conscious not to mention when our neighbors left their dog alone for several hours and it spent the whole time barking like crazy I had a front row seat. The food and facilities are very nice. But I wish there was a way to have a dinner at the hotel without dropping at least $50. We had a lovely time but overall I was a bit disappointed in the small details. read more

An enjoyable stay! We stayed here while we were hiking in Jasper. The grounds are huge. It's like a little get away oasis. The golf grounds are so picturesque. We tried to enjoy many of the amenities here. We did the one hour free of mountain bike rental. Make sure to rent it at least an hour before they close since they won't let you take it out an hour before the closing time. The spa is really nice with a heated pool, outdoor hot tub. The steam room and sauna were great and I wished I had gone every day instead of at the end. The lockers don't always work and I don't know why they have q-tips that fall apart when you try to use them. Better to not even stock them. Everything is clean and organized. The spa was okay. I liked the waiting area with snacks, coffee and tea. The front staff was really nice and friendly. I did a regular facial and a deep tissue massage. I asked for more pressure but she seemed to be saving her hands and was too light so I gave up asking. The facial wasn't enough of a massage like I'm use to at a spa and she also seemed to be saving her hand strength. After the service they don't put you back at the front and put you in the locker room or snack area so I had to circle back to tip and heard it's automatic, which would've been nice to have known ahead of time. I had a massage in town too and that was a much better massage. They have lots of things to do as a family or with a partner or friends. The rooms should really get air conditioning since the air was bad it would've been nice to use it instead of having to use our window to get cool air and also have the smoke in our room. Also people like to sit on the porch and talk so it's hard to sleep with people right outside your room. The rooms may be outdated but it was nice enough for us. Overall the service and staff are nice and helpful. read more

After a long winter drive in treacherous weather the gracious welcome of the staff at the Jasper Park Lodge made my daughter & i's impromptu stay most worthwhile. we couldn't drive any further and were scared of road conditions- the JPL was a beacon in the night! From our first welcome at the valet & front desk to an amazing meal served by Kieran - our shakes started to subside. Such an outstanding experience to have been hosted by the caring people of Jasper - at the exquisite mountain resort where my parents 57 years ago spent their honeymoon!!!! For a "Fairmont", I give it two stars. We chose to stay here because of the limited lodging availability in Jasper. It is not elegant like their other locations. This location needs to be updated. The rooms are separate from the check-in area and restaurants. You need to go outside to get to the check-in area and restaurants. The rooms do not have a/c. The bathrooms are outdated. I liked having chairs outside our room to sit on and you can get to know your neighbors. Think of it as glamping! I give the staff five stars! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub have a beautiful view of the lake. You must enter the pool/hot tub through the spa. We ate at the casual restaurant one night for dinner and sat on the patio for a view of the lake. The food and service were good. The portions were not large. There was a woman playing guitar and singing nightly in the causal restaurant. There is a grab and go coffee shop on the bottom floor. You can get breakfast sandwiches and pastries. There is flavored water in the lobby. My favorite part was the complimentary evening smores! They have a fire pit that you can roast marshmallows and assemble your own smore's from 8-9 PM each night. There are chairs spread around the property so you may relax and enjoy the lake view. There are bicycles, stand up paddle boards, and canoes you can rent. There is a paved path around the lake to bike or walk. read more

I have mixed reviews about my stay here. I remember LOVING coming here as a child for the Alberta Law Society Bencher conferences. My Mom would work all day and my Dad would take myself and my two sisters out in Jasper. I just loved the JPL and seeing the Elk and it was such a great experience. But... I was young, and since I wasn't paying for it myself I obviously wasn't expecting much. When we got to the JPL they took our temperature and gave us cookies, so I was like OMG it's going to be amazing! I am sad to say my stay was only OK. We spent about $1000 for three nights in a lake-front cabin. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous and we really enjoyed the walk around the lake! There is a look out point that is just stunning! My friends and I actually sat and painted it. They also have a Geosphere Planetarium right now where I got to hold pieces of Mars, the Moon, and the Chelyabinsk Meteor. That was seriously cool. However, the room itself wasn't that great. To begin with, our thermostat was broken the first night and it was roasting. We had two dogs with us that were hot and panting. We did open the windows but it honestly was not cool enough at night to cool it down. We called the front desk many times to get it sorted but unfortunately no one came until the next day. They did send an engineer to come and fix it and found out that there was definitely an issue with it. They left us twix bars afterwards which was nice. Our fireplace simply would not light. We called someone to come and light the fire for us and he did, and then about 10 minutes afterwards it went out again. A bit disappointing. Not sure what was going on there but we didn't want to deal with that anymore. Also there were just random issues with our room like when we came in there was trash in the bathroom garbage and a burnt out light. For the amount of money I would like all the lights to work. Also, our cabin did not have any chairs for sitting outside on the patio. We had to call and request them which was strange to me. Obviously if you book a lake front cabin you want to look at the lake. The staff were alright during our trip. Mostly they were all very accommodating, but it did lose a bit of it's magic. I think perhaps I would consider staying there again? But I really don't know. I stayed at the Sawridge during the summer and definitely preferred it to the JPL. Although, you WILL see Elk no matter what. We saw many :) read more

Well our first impression of this place is horrible! It's 95 degrees and they put us in a room without air conditioning. You would think that they could learn about solar and batteries to provide clean energy for air conditioning at a high priced hotel. Also, they put us in a room that looks exactly like a cheap motel 6 for $680 per night. They tried to make up for it with a cheap bottle of wine and free sodas in the fridge. I had to have them put a decent fridge in because I'm diabetic and the fridge didn't work for my insulin. The pool is alright. That's the only place you can go when your room is 90 degrees. Overall, it's the most money I've ever paid for a motel 6 terrible room, mediocre service. The most expensive cheap hotel that I've ever stayed in. Do not go to the Fairmont Jasper lodge! read more

Awesome location and the friendliest staff, but the rooms were just ok. We got a cabin near the lake in mid July, and as several other reviews mentioned it was very outdated. Clean, but outdated. (Side note: room service was awesome. They even folded some of our laundry we left out on a chair. Quite a surprise to see that!) It despite how old the rooms were, I couldn't help but to think how cozy they would be in the winter....they were very lodge-like. So although outdated it didn't really bother me. I deducted a couple of stars partly because the lamp in the room didn't work, and the bathroom sink was clogged....it drained more slowly than molasses in winter. But the main reason for deducting a couple of stars is the absolute flawed design with the hvac system in the cabins. The cabins are good sized, split into two areas---a living area with a sofa bed, and a bedroom with a king size bed. The two areas are divided by a door. Problem was, the thermostat was in one room, while the industrial-sized AC vent was in the other room. Close the door and the AC runs nonstop. So cold that we had to request additional comforters. Meanwhile, the room with the thermostat is hot. We had the thermostat set to 77 and it was still an ice box in the main bedroom with the AC blowing down arctic chills all day and night. (With that said, the comforters were so comfortable! Delivered wrapped in a bundle and apparently freshly washed with crisp cotton shells. Like I said, winter there would probably be amazing. ) Bottom line? We'd consider coming back--especially in the winter. Sure, it had some flaws but overall it's a pretty nice place with great service. read more

This is not your typical Fairmont, although the staff and level of service are excellent. The "lodge" type setting will not make you feel as pampered as at other Fairmonts, but the scenery is fantastic and it is a very restful setting. The rooms could use some updating. My only real complaints are that the sound from room to room could be better and the WiFi was absolutely horrible. Considering you are in an area of weak cellular service more reliable WiFi would be appreciated. read more

This place literally made my Rockies trip even more blissful! Located on Lake Beauvert, Jasper Park Lodge is extremely popular for fellow Albertans ( We were minorities coming from Montreal). Filled with hundreds of geese which makes this place even more special. They offer a wide range of activities and services that are included in their resort fees- not a huge fan especially when staying 4 nights but I definitely made sure to try them out. They offer: bike rentals, paddle boat rental, access to pool & yoga classes, boat tour, walking tour & etc. We initially had the standard room, which was quite standard but decide to upgrade to their junior suite with a fire place was worth it and truly enjoyable. Mr. Jones and the staff at the resort were always here to make our stay enjoyable. We really felt the good vibes and would definitely come back again. Like every caring Canadian citizen, I spent March-June in social isolation. It wasn't without its challenges with two small children and no help, unable to see my mother, but we are lucky. We had snacks, and cuddles and didn't kill each other in our family (trash) pile. What does this have to do with the Fairmont JPL? Everything. It made the beautiful everything that is this property so much sweeter. It, in itself, is everythiiiiing. As Canada began to open up in July two besties suggested we join them in adjoining cabins at the Fairmont. So a bunch of Covid tests and masked travel later, and we found ourselves breathing deeply without stress for the first time in months. With one fantastic view! And many delicious cocktails! And canoe rentals! The cabins are dated as some have mentioned, but it all ads to the rustic chic. This place is once in a lifetime. Covid precautions feel necessary to explain, but in case I miss anything I do want to say I felt incredibly safe the entire time. +Cabins (own little houses! Perfect!) with no cleanings unless requested +Masks in all indoor spaces +Constant sanitizing of public spaces (complete with stickers so you know they were recently cleaned) +Minimal people allowed in (giant heated) pool at once so everyone can maintain (easily) 3 metres of space between +Limited spa, with technicians in double face covers +Hand sanitizer stations at every entrance and exit read more

This isn't a hotel. It's barely a motel highjacking the Fairmont Brand. Rooms are wide spread in a large land. In the heat of 98 degree it's practically impossible to commute to main lobby easy. Rooms are old shacks with little amenities. While they try to provide shuttle service with short staff and high demand you have to wait more than an hour. Definitely not suitable for retirees. Highly priced while room doesn't wort more than 50 bucks a night. Our room has no AC. Just a fan circulating hot air plus a small fridge in the closet barely can accommodate water bottles. Food and fish taste stale. They add too much salt to it to kill the old fish smell. The front staff are young teens. While they try to help they are only few of them, may be less then five. Two on reception desk and two on concierge trying to help barrage of unhappy passengers. Rocky mountaineer rep in the lodge admits this lodging is not suitable for any passenger. While suffering in overheated office with no AC She admits that she cannot help multitude of unhappy and over heated and frustrated travelers. In short Jasper Park Lodge is not a place to stay or dine at any cost or reason. It is unhealthy, unhygienic, not suitable for average travelers, certainly dangerous for seniors. Food services are scares and stale, staff are short and over run with high demands and lack of amenities. This place doesn't worth more than 50 bucks if any at all. Save your money and make different arrangement. It's unhealthy and dangerous for seniors. Electricity goes off often too. read more

I love fairmont hotels. This one stinks- literally. Room had a bad odor and had no air conditioning- in July when temps hit mid 70s. Room felt like 80!!!! Mountains and lake were breathtaking. Staff was very nice. Cabin itself, was not worth the money. Does not live up to fairmont name. read more

This place was a great way to kick off our vacation. However, let me lower your expectations if you are expecting a 5 star hotel... this felt more like a luxury motel. My husband said it best when he said, "it's a called lodge not a hotel for a reason". We also got a decent price with Alberta locals discount. Upon entering the grounds, staff at the gate greet you for an in car covid screen and give you complimentary cookies, a fairmont PPE kit and parking placard for your vehicle! The parking lot was close to our room and the "cabin" room is connected to a few other rooms. The room we had was really close to the main lobby building. We had a front entrance and a back entrance to the room with 2 lounge chairs outside per room. The window was also quite large to take in the lovely mountain view and nature was literally outside our doorstep with a herd of deer grazing outside on the first day we arrived. All the basic amenities were in the room, and there were heated floors! You can also cast your streaming apps on the TV in room and the alarm clock doubles as a usb charger for Apple devices. I liked how the shower has a ceiling shower and a hose shower (made it easy to hose the kids down after all the outdoor fun). They were also very prompt with room requests (I.e. leaving fresh bedsheets in the room to use when someone had a bed accident and extra towels). The concierge desk also had 1 "homemade" craft kit per child daily (just request it the night prior at front desk). This lodge also had a fairly easy hiking trail around the lake. It's even more beautiful during the summer with the red canoes and turquoise waters. The food at the restaurants were also excellent here. If you do want sushi from the sushi restaurant, order it ASAP when that restaurant first opens cuz they tend to sell out close to opening time! They also have a lovely little art gallery and shops in the lower level of the main building. read more

The Jasper Park Lodge is a special spot for my wife and I, as we got married there many years ago. The hotel was first established in 1921 by the Canadian National Railway, and is a 442 room hotel located on 700 acres of beautiful land, and which offers a beatific view of surrounding mountains and Beauvert Lake. The hotel has gone through a few owners and management, but it is operated by Fairmont. The hotel is called a lodge, as it was originally a ski lodge for visitors. The hotel rooms are part of cabins, rather than being part of one main building. The main lodge has 5 restaurants, as well as boutique shops and spas. Service is definitely super great, professional and great - when my wife and I got married there, we have used the mariage services, provided on location - they took care of everything, we literally just had to be there and get married!! As for food and restaurants, food is absolutely delicious!! So if you are looking for a great getaway vacation, or get married, eat at one of their restaurants or enjoy a walk around Lake Beauvert, the Jasper Park Lodge is a great place to treat yourself for a luxurious stay. I was tempted to give 1 star, but the cabins are a convenient way to spend a weekend when you have puppies with you. So many problems with our stay and nothing done to make up for it. We were here for a wedding and I cant say we would ever come back. #1. Booked in advance and intentionally asked for a room that was near the wedding, was checked into a room that was WAY far away. As a "upgrade" we were provided a cottage with two separate single beds... how pleasant #2. When booking I paid extra for my dogs. They asked what the names; breeds; and ages of my dogs were.. "because they want to make a customized experience for pet visitors". No such customized experience; whatever that is, happened. #3. Room was not ready on arrival when I checked in online.... received a text that I was a "valued Le Club Accor member and that a package would be ready on arrival at 2 pm. This didn't happen. #4. Royal service couldn't provide a bottle opener, and I feel like this is a staple of any front desk. The Banff Caribou Lodge and Spa could get a bottle opener and wine glasses. Why couldn't the Fairmont? Unimpressed with the stay overall. Thanks. read more

When we first arrived I thought I was going to a campground in the fifties! It's really quaint and the cabins are beautifully maintained but it sure does need updating on the inside! It wasn't until we hiked around the Beauvert Lake on site that we came upon some historical photo boards of the area dating back to 1939! Well that's why it felt so nostalgic. I have a much better appreciation for it now and of course is a Fairmont trademark to preserve these old hotels and historical sites! As always the staff is super friendly and helpful. If you're walking up to the lake from just behind the main building at night, they have a large stone fire pit and a table stand with lemonade, marshmallows, shaved dark chocolate and graham cookies for you to make you're own s'mores!! Such a great idea! Then take it over to over to one if the Adirondack chairs and enjoy the views. Keep your eyes open for Elk, Mountain goats and Moose!! read more

Come on, for a hotel that charges over $500/night, you'd think you'd have figured out the parking situation by now. The fact that one has to circle several times to find parking (because it's nearly all one way which means if you can't find parking the first time, you've got to leave the resort and return through the main entrance! In addition, the walls were surprisingly thin as I could hear the neighbors talking and their TV. Very irritating especially since the Fairmont is one of my favorite home away from home! No complaints about the staff or service and definitely the place is absolutely beautiful but will not stay here again. read more

Best place to stay in Jasper! You are secluded and the rooms have great views of Lake Beauvert where you can go canoeing, kayaking or stand up paddle boarding. We slept so well and had a peaceful, relaxing stay. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. We can't wait to come back here again :) read more

For the past 13 years, I have stayed at JPL nearly every December for a weekend, and a few additional visits sprinkled here and there when I can find good rates. I have mixed feelings about JPL. The setting is beautiful. The pricier rooms can have some lovely views. The rooms have been renovated over the years, but still pretty basic. I am totally fine paying $250-$300/night for a lake view suite when there are good deals. But paying $500/night for a basic fairmont room is mind blowing and I never would. The magic of JPL is definitely the land it sits on. And the lodge used to be very lovely but they have heart crushingly got rid of the unique furniture, which was replaced with with comfy chairs and sofas. But sometime since the pandemic, the lodge has been converted to all dining space and majority traditional dining tables. It's lost a bit of its charm. I hope it's only temporary due to the pandemic. There's also very limited dining options on weekdays. To me, JPL is 5 stars because I know what to expect and I know how to get good deals. It's a incredibly relaxing place. But I know the rooms themselves are not really 5 stars unless you upgrade. I'd say 3 stars is probably what most people would rate it at if they are used to visiting the mountains. People travelling from other countries could probably pay full price and feel like it's a 5 star experience worthy of it. It's all about one's perspective. read more

What an incredible time we had this week at The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. One thing for sure is that this visit was a memory to last a lifetime for my family. It started with the super-warm greeting from Paddy at the main entrance as we checked in. Paddy was so warm and welcoming, we even got into talking about my hometown heroes NY Islanders hockey team from back in the 1980s. And that's how you will be treated during your entire stay, as an important guest of the Fairmont family. The property is just beyond majestic. You're actually in a National Park so everything is so chill and low key. And you can make this vacation whatever you want it to be. You can use all of their amenities like a gorgeous outdoor poor and hot tub or take out a canoe, play at the #1 golf club in Canada, play tennis, ride horses, enjoy the spa, ice skate., or do absolutely nothing but whatever makes you happy. It's pretty amazing. The food and drinks were excellent. We enjoyed lots of great food and also some amazing scenery out on the patio.. where we had some great service by Bre, Alana and Jenni, to name a few of the really professional staff that attended to us during our stay. I have to say the Pear Martini was such a great drink. I wish I could take it home with me ! Wildlife is abundant around the Lodge and right now it's rutting season so elk are everywhere. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. It's a little rustic. I'm not sure how many rooms have been renovated or to what capacity. I don't think our room was recently renovated but seriously with all the beauty at this Lodge, you shouldn't be spending time in your room. I don't think we put the TV on once. So if you're looking for an awesome getaway for couples or family or even business function, this is the place. I cannot say enough. Fairmont definitely has a slice of heaven here in Jasper. Don't I miss it. read more
