Our room. I think it is called the Jasper Room.
    Linda J.

No phones or TVs in the rooms. Maybe the cabins do but not the main lodge. There are only 10 rooms in the lodge. We stayed in the Jasper Room if I recall, room 31. It was perfect I wish I could have a master bedroom like that in my home. Not too big not to small. The bathroom is nothing amazing but modern. The view was amazing both night and day. At night I sat of the balcony looking at the stars. When I woke up I stared at the mountains and trees that were dusted in snow while I slept. The gas fire place made the room cozy. I wish I could have stayed for a week and just laid in bed or sat in the leather chairs reading and getting lost in the view. I only gave it a 4 star b/c $40 for butter chicken is a lil crazy.

But when we got in, I was definitely glad this was the only place left. It does not disappoint. For one, it's very spacious. The motel we stayed in had two separate bedrooms: and a tv right in front of each bed. Great for different people to watch different channels in the different rooms. It was also very clean and tidy. The staff cleaned up well, although they left some supplies in our room one time. That wasn't a biggie - just a small, careless mistake that was probably just a one time occurrence. The facilities also included a fitness room (kind of small, though, but at least it existed!), a pool, a water slide, and a hot tub. The wifi worked well and was very quick as well. There was a decent breakfast in the morning, and the lobby has cookies + popcorn + juice machine available in the afternoon/evening. Kids loved this! In our place, we had a fridge, microwave, stovetop, and coffee maker. Overall, a great place to stay in Hinton! Would definitely recommend: and not too expensive either.

And I am loving the convenient free wifi available in each room. The soaps and amenities are of good quality and you get an in room refrigerator as well. A continental breakfast is also served. My only concern were the seemingly paper thin walls and noise from the next room. But I figure with the savings I get by staying here I can afford a pair of ear plugs and still come out ahead. This location served me well after hiking several days in North Jasper Park area.

My wife choose this hotel after reading all the reviews on Tripadvisor and Google. Reservations were made months in advance. We reserved a room with a king bed. No upgrades were given. They gave us the room we booked. The room was comfortable with a small couch, work station, and a TV. The bathroom was okay. Surprisingly, they provided small bottles of soap, conditioner and shampoo. Complimentary breakfast is served in the morning downstairs. They have a small breakfast area with plenty of seating. They had scrambled eggs, sausage, breads and yogurt. They had 2 waffle makers with only one that actually worked. Juice and coffee were available. The breakfast was your average hotel breakfast. They have a small gym with treadmills, ellipticals and a bike. Dumbbells are available if you need to lift weights. All the machines worked. Sanitizing wipes are available for you to clean the equipment after use. It was a decent hotel gym. Overall, this is a decent hotel. It is close to Jasper. The town of Hinton had plenty of restaurants that serve Indian food and places for you to visit.

There was hair and lipstick on the pillow. There were cans of Pepsi and Arizona. There were hair on the bathroom floor and used toiletries left behind. Of all my travels, I've never felt this disgusted staying in a room and I've stayed at some shady ass places due to budget traveling. Please, save your money and go somewhere else instead!

Where do I begin? I wanted to give this hotel one star, but I realized that there are probably…read moreworse places out there so I went with two. I booked this hotel through Hotels.ca for a 4 night stay with my family. It was a cheaper alternative to staying in Jasper and appeared to have all that we wanted (pool for the kids, breakfast). After check-in we loaded up a luggage rack with our bags, cooler and a storage crate with a few extra supplies. As I left the front desk and started looking for the elevator, I was informed they don't have an elevator. Okay, strike one- what kind of hotel does not have an elevator? So we take multiple trips up the stairs to our room. The room was quite small and cramped for 4 people. We can deal with it. The kids wanted to go to the pool right away so we agreed. We went down to the pool to find two folding campfire chairs (the ones that slip into bags) and a chair that was about 6 inches from the floor. Incredibly uncomfortable to sit in while kids swim. How hard would it be to put out a few plastic patio chairs for people? Talk about cheap. The pool and hot tub were okay, but there were never any pool towels stocked. I had to ask at the desk. Next, the breakfast left a lot to be desired. Nothing hot was available unless you count reheated pre-made waffles. Oh and toast. The only protein even available was cold hard boiled eggs and yogurt. The breakfast area was tiny with far too many tables crammed into it. Breakfast was not an enjoyable experience at all. Big thumbs down here. Lastly, overall lack of cleanliness. In the 4 nights we stayed, our room was tended to once by housekeeping. Our box of Kleenex sat empty for two days and never got replaced. Even when we specifically asked for more towels we were given only one. The walls were dirty, the carpet had stains and our ice bucket lid had a layer of dust on it. We had the room fan turned on one day when we left because it was quite warm out and when we came back it had been turned off (the one time they serviced our room) so the room was hot. Definitely not impressed with this "super" hotel. More like Mediocre8. Will not be back that is for sure.

I understand that is not a fault of the hotel but one evening they booked the eating hall for dinner where they were playing games and being extra loud, for about 2 hours there was screaming and and running around. I'm a bit disappointed as the parents were encouraging the children to scream and make tons of noise. Again not a fault of the hotel but I believe they should had asked them to quiet down or close some doors as it was very disruptive. The rooms are quite sound proofed but it sounded as if the kids were in our room screaming. My partner ended up closing a door in the hall (fire doors) because it was a very long day for both of us and we wanted to watch a hockey game in our room. The screaming was so loud that we couldn't hear the game over it and we didn't want to turn it up because that would disrupt other guests and even more. I'm not sure if the staff asked the group to settle down at all but since there was no change until they were fine there dinner we can only assume they didn't. I think the group should have been reminded that there are other guests and it's unsafe and very disruptive to have kids running in the Halls. Thankfully they left the next day! Other than that one night we haven't had any other issues. We we've pleased that you can now earn extra points if you refuse room service and since we were here for only a few days it was great as we didn't need our garbage changed, new towels or new sheets while we were there. I'm happy they are stepping up to reduce water, soak and other environmental impacts. We had breakfast here every morning, and as far as hotel breakfast goes holiday inns are always pretty good. It is a free breakfast so it's not amazing but it's pretty good. I was very pleased to see Greek yogurt at this location and lots of baked goods, cinnamon rolls one day. I'm glad there is more than one choice of protein, (pork sausage, turkey sausage and bacon! A very nice variety!
