When I researched what to do in Pioneer Square, Mr. Google recommended this place. We love antiques, so decided to check it out. To sum up in a few words; the focus on this place is a little narrow, but what they have within their area of focus is phenomenal. This place is great if you're looking for something specific, namely photos, prints, old maps. I have never seen such a huge collection of old photo albums that are in such great shape. We even saw a handwritten journal from the 1850s! There is a ton of history here, but if you're looking to add to your antique bottle collection or for a collectible vase, this may not be the place. read more

We enjoy this antique shop. It's tucked down some dark stairs in Pioneer Square and a fun place to explore. It's always packed with quality vintage photographs and ephemera. A fun place to dig around. On our last vist we wandered around the shop looking around but we must admit it kind of wierded us out when the owner followed us into the back section that had mostly naked male photo's and posters. This is a very good place for antique paper goods like photos, posters, calendars and postcards. You're not going to find a lot of antique furniture or jewelry here, but if you're looking for a picture of a guy from the 50's in a skimpy bathing suit holding his cat or of a photo of an old casket, this is your place. Plenty of frowny Victorian portraits too (I love those!) I agree with everybody that the back room with the nude male photos all over the walls is kind of odd, so steer clear of that if its not what you're looking for. read more

I love this shop! You never know what treasure might be lying in a corner or showcase. The shop houses Native American prints, photos, and postcards. The owner has all of his photos and collectibles organized into albums, bins, and drawers. One specialty is photos of Seattle and the Pacific Northwest. My favorite place in the shop is the back wall which has numerous vintage pictures in old frames. Especially eye-catching are the photographs of Mt. Rainier. I have dealt with Mike, the owner of Fairlook Antiques, for many years and find him totaly honest in my book. He has a great sense of fair market value and never overprices an item. If you are into old photos, postcards, old Seattle collectibles or collectibles in general, this is the place to look. Many of his collecibles qualify for the lable "antique" which in my definition means over 100 years old.
