SERVICE & CHECKIN Big NO on early checkin (unless you're extremely lucky), but everyone was exceedingly professionally & attentive during my wait. A much warmer vibe than most Marriotts & prompt on phone service. The welcome gift was also just what I needed: cold water & a king size Twix! No late checkout though--they sell out quick! LOBBY, ELEVATOR, CORRIDORS Jazzy tunes & a pleasing decor throughout the building; I really liked the vintage patterned halls. The cleaning standards were exemplary but their dining area could use a reupholstering. Elevators provided a good amount of space & speediness, the rickety rattling was just a tad unsettling ROOM (suite) https://youtu.be/P049-JVEoKk A lot of character in the design: Adequate natural lighting, well-positioned sleek lamps, a fun carpet pattern, & perfectly curated wallpaper. Dimensions were generously spacious (for 2) with enough hanging + drawer storage for an extended stay. A calming aesthetic that felt comfortable & familiar . The dedicated workspace setup was very productive as well. HVAC/air circulation needs improvement: there was a lingering musk/must odor & I didn't have the luxury of functional windows; AC isn't properly tuned if you find yourself freezing on 70+ . BED Double Queen configuration. This Serta line wasn't a "wow!", but it did what it's supposed to. The springs are nearing end-of-life, so support was very minimal. Bedding was clean & of fair quality: 60/40 cotton blend. Pillow fill (down) lacks loft, so you'll want to stack these for maximum comfort. BATH Medium sized bathroom featuring a stylist tile selection & clever paneling. Substantially worn in some areas but that didn't subtract from the experience. Traditional combination shower bathing experience provided with designer bath products (Alice+Co) & PLENTY of towels + toiletries. Water pressure, temperature, & ventilation were adequate. TV & ENTERTAINMENT Really unbalanced. The Samsung TV was just too small, especially for a double mattress configuration. Universal remote selection was an Enseo... the ergonomics just don't feel right to me. Basic cable & the usual Marriott Streaming integrations are available (Netflix, YouTube, etc). WI-FI & CELL RECEPTION Between good & average on carrier (Verizon) reception. Free unencrypted WiFi is available. As far as value goes...: It works. Not much more to say beyond that. --Performance-- Video streaming - bad Online gaming - poor Video chatting - poor --Nerd Stats-- 9-11 Mbps download 9-11 Mbps upload 0% packet loss 37 ms latency 69 ms jitter FOOD & DRINK DoorDash friendly. A large breakfast offering from 630-930 with a lot of convenience food offerings on site as well: mini market, artisan coffee bar. There are plenty of chain restaurants within walking distance too. In-room amenities included a mini microwave, medium mini fridge, & instant coffee bar. Ice machines accessible on guest floors. Don't forget to check-in on Yelp for a free item from the mini market! NOISE The building design & materials used means this could go either way... but my stay was peaceful & quiet. YMMV. Avoid a room by the ice machine & book a top floor if you're noise sensitive. LOCATION Easily accessible highway, IHOP across the parking lot (!), & interesting views. The area was mostly secluded & felt safe enough. VERDICT Artisans of hospitality. The hospitality really took this experience to the next level for me. Good accommodations + an exemplary level of training & talent in customer service. I would absolutely stay here again & highly recommend this location. 5/5

We truly enjoyed our Valentine's Day week. The room was so cozy.

I've stayed here before and I can truly say that this hotel which is located directly off of I-270 and Sawmill Rd. and a few minutes away from where I live, I LOVE THIS GETAWAY SPOT! Even during a pandemic, the hotel manages to serve complimentary breakfast from 6 am to 10 am, the hotel is spotless clean and management keeps us safe by contactless check in and check out. Let's talk about these beautiful rooms. Those plush pillows and pillow top mattress made it hard for me to get up in the morning lmbo. We had plenty of towels. This was a very special occasion for me. My boyfriend lives in New Orleans during the winter storm we had here in Columbus, I thought I had to cancel my three day room for just one night because his flights were canceled. When I found out that he was coming and got a flight out to come here, I was able to keep my original reservation. Management even upgraded my room with no extra charge. I will forever be grateful. Thank you to management and staff for always making my little getaways very special. I highly recommend this hotel. You can walk out the door and grab a bite to eat at IHOP, Roosters, Olive Garden and some fast food restaurants.

Comfy bed, just the right height.

We learned that you can pick your own caterer and provide your own booze which can go along way in both cost and allowing you to truly customize your special event. This was one of the top contenders for our wedding day. What ended up keeping us from booking is that we wanted to have a November wedding and this venue is perfect for outdoor weddings so it just was too much of a gamble with the crazy Ohio weather. If you're venue shopping, I highly recommend this place. It was just so nice and if you're an Upper Arlington resident, you can get even more of a discount. Check it out!

The staff was excellent -- always checking in to see if we needed anything. According to Charlotte, one of the venue coordinators, they can seat about 150 max. The wedding I attended had a little under 100 guests, with plenty of room to move about with the dance floor set up in the front of the venue. For the ceremony: There is a beautiful outdoor terrace overlooking a pond w/ a fountain. Plenty of seating with a small aisle for the bridal party to walk down. For the reception: There is plenty of room! Tons of natural lighting. A concession stand type window bar area and an alcove to set up the food and cake tables. I was very impressed with this venue. It was clean, modern, easy to access, great staffing, with tons of natural beauty to it. I will definitely be suggesting this location to future photography clients. Well done, Amelita Mirolo.

You need to know a few things before considering this venue. We were told one price at contract…read moresigning, then when it came time for the final payment I noticed that it seemed high. They had raised their prices and also charged me for things that were not supposed to be there. It was a LOT of money. They made me send them a copy of the pamphlet that they gave us during our first meeting to prove the price difference! This is so unprofessional. Also, coordinators were young and must have been trained to say, "of course" and "absolutely". That's fine, but after a while, I just want things done as we discussed. Ours (Harper) left the company a few weeks before the wedding, and when I requested a face to face meeting with the new one that we had never met, she said that they normally don't do that, but she would. Um yes. And even though we went through details with her(Mia), there were things that were missed. We specifically asked for no champagne toast, yet flutes were on the tables and they started pouring at 2 tables before I caught them. There were other things, like a non working fridge in the get ready bridal area (so warm drinks), food that was already out when we arrived with flies landing on it, the wrong cross rented from Serendipity, when we specifically asked for the thicker/more substantial one, plastic black hangers left on two of our floral arrangements lining the ceremony aisle (Fiori Florals) and a cake that was NOTHING like we selected. It was on a black stand when we selected gold, we paid $60 extra for pearls and there were maybe 12 on the whole cake, the gold icing was yellow/brown, and it tasted and looked nothing like what we originally ate and chose. To top it off, it was dry and crumbly. We ended up giving it to our hotel staff. Mia did not seem prepared to run a wedding. She sent the MOB down the aisle with an usher walking back, so they had to move to the side. There were good things about the venue, but just be prepared for many things to go wrong. I had every checklist in the world, and it still wasn't enough.

When my father and I arrived a half-hour early, we found the door locked as it started to pour rain and thunder and lightning. The rest of the family was already inside setting up and getting ready. This so-called venue manager or whomever was in charge finally saw us standing outside and opened the door and rudely asked with an attitude, "Are you family?" What kind of a question, IS THAT? Also, why in the hell would you lock the outer doors of a wedding venue that is currently occupied? That is a fire hazard! Also, if you have posted business hours, you are not allowed to lock the doors, regardless of whether its by appointment only or not. I was half expecting her to be a gracious hostess and say, "Hello, welcome, are you here for the wedding? Please come in." INSTEAD, before I can respond, she continues to say, "We don't let guests in before the start time, only family." Of course I reply politely as I can that we are family. My father and I were the only two members of my aunt's side of the family attending this wedding. Everyone else that was attending was the bride's family members who came all the way from India, Canada and other parts of the world, and my Uncle's family members who were all local plus family friends. They only had 9 tables and not everyone even came. I'm actually very glad that my mother, who is wheelchair-bound, could not attend because this building is not ADA compliant by law. She wouldn't have been able to use the bathroom or enjoy the patios without someone helping her up and down. When we got inside and greeted our family, I could clearly see that this wedding was not going to be starting right at 5:30. (I even had offered when we arrived to help put out the name cards for the tables on the guestbook table for them so they could focus on the food and the bar, and I was immediately dismissed with the rudest attitude from this manager.) They claimed it was because of the rain and that they were going to have the blessing outside and were trying to wait for it to pass, but by 5:30, they hadn't even bothered to open up the bar or put out hor d'oeuvres. They didn't even have coffee made, and we couldn't even get a soda, they just had water and tea ready. It wasn't until 6 or so that my cousin finally walked over to the bar, told the bartender he was the groom and wanted the bar opened because people were stuck standing around the staff scrambled to finish setting things up they should have been brought out at 5:25 PM. My cousin told me that because they didn't open the bar on time, they didn't use their money's worth of alcohol. People were coming to this blessing/reception for an already married couple, expecting some sort of food for them to much on right away, and it wasn't served until nearly 7 PM. it was nearly 8 PM by the time I got my food. The salmon was so dry and overcooked and was cold because of their delay. The staff was also rushing around trying to move things along once it got going. They brought out COLD PIZZA at 10 PM that should have been brought out way earlier. They didn't cut the cake until after everyone was done eating. It should have been cut up while everyone was being served their plated dinners. As someone who has worked in the customer/food service/retail/restaurant industries for the last 20+ years, I WOULD NEVER EVER run my own business like this, treat my clients' guests horribly. I always LOVE it when I work and it's clear I'm struggling and my customers or regulars immediately ask to help. I have never seen so much disorganization from a venue since my own wedding at a completely different venue in another county in Ohio five and a half years ago. Don't use this venue, clearly others have had the same issue with the professionalism and speediness of this staff.

I don't know how pricey the place is (it didn't look cheap, though) and I don't know if the hosts had to set everything up themselves or if someone helped. As a guest, however, I can say that this is a simply gorgeous space to be in. When you walk in you're basically walking in to a wide open hallway that's (at least partially) lit naturally thanks to the wide windows at the end of it. Don't think the club is limited to one hallway, though: there are rooms galore to explore and use. For example there's a small library in one section of the building, and there's also a media room with a collection of classic movies in another. Additionally, there's a great kitchen space and a living room area with an enormous TV, tables (and given the time of year I was there, a Christmas tree). There's fireplaces as well, although I didn't look to see if they were functional or decorative. They were a nice touch either way. I also have to say, space in every section of the building was used well (I'd even say strategically), so that the entire building feels very open and inviting even though it's also filled with lots interesting art and decor. I also liked the fact that the color schemes they used were both pretty to see and yet very official - a great way to ensure that the place looks great for any gathering. Everything was so neat and clean, I simply couldn't complain about things - for the most part. I did find it frustrating that a space clearly designed to host large crowds only had one open bathroom when I was there. I really couldn't tell if it was the only bathroom in the area or if it was just the only open bathroom, but either way it admittedly created problems after my entire extended family had been eating and drinking for a couple hours. Overall though, the event I attended went smoothly and I enjoyed quite a comfortable afternoon here. I doubt I'll have a chance to return since I'm not a local, but it's a good place to keep in mind for sure!
