Not enough people RSVP'd for an actual party that night so we all bought our own tickets (adult tickets are $15 Thursdays, $25 other days) and met up there. Street parking is available but watch for signs to make sure you aren't parking somewhere that needs a pass. If you can't parallel park, maybe have someone drive who is comfortable doing it. In total, 10 people showed up including a child in a wheelchair. Our tickets were for an hour but I believe we took about 2 hours; there were maybe 4 other people we saw during that time so the owner didn't rush us out. The business has around a dozen themes and several walls with fun graphics and lights. It was easy to start our way in the back and work towards the front. Or you could start on the left or right and work your way around the U shape. It was a really fun way for us to be silly, take photos, and make good memories.

There are 20 areas plus they have some selfie lights around that you can also use. Parking is on the street but we didn't have any trouble finding spots. We reserved our tickets ahead of time by emailing with the business. Highly recommend!

Their storefront is great to see each item and how they go together. I also loved the recommendations Katarina was able to make. I never felt pressured to rent more or go outside of my budget either. The delivery set up and pick up was pretty seamless as well (coordinated by Katarina and our wedding planner).

Event Source fulfills some kind of strange, sick need within my soul…read more I'm one of those people who daydreams about setting tables. Weird but true! In Event Source, I can play with the table settings to my heart's content. Whenever I have cause to be in here, I literally look at the options and try to dream up events where I can employ my fantasies. Those are some pretty strong feelings about tablecloths, eh?! Tablecloths, napkins, flatware, china, serving pieces, chairs, tables, the list goes on and on. You'd be really surprised what you can rent for your event! And boy, do I. For our wedding, I liked the linens that came with the venue, but we punched up the tables by adding a different napkin and a table runner. For the more "VIP" tables we changed out the tablecloth and napkin, and added chargers. Doing the whole room would've been a little too spendy, but with Event Source, we could very effectively make our wedding look above-ordinary. I also used Event Source when I hosted Thanksgiving for 22 people at my house. I ordered all the china (I have some nice china, but man, who has 22 place settings?), which was super fun because of course I went with something I wouldn't have BOUGHT in that kind of quantity. Gold filigree for everyone! (Also, bread plates, gold handled flatware, gold rimmed water goblet and wine glass.) Napkins and tablecloths, too. A plate is, like, less than $2 to rent. Totally worth it. The best part -- didn't have to wash dishes! Yep, ES asks that you return them "dirty" (we rinsed at least). Same goes for linens. Just put 'em in the provided laundry bags. Do you know how long it would've taken me to launder and iron all those table linens?! It may have never gotten done. You can rent things in sets of 10 (some other items may have different quantities... Ask!). Think beyond the wedding. ES is a lifesaver (and a dreamscape) for other events as well! Customer service is top notch. Next time you're headed to ES, can I come?

You need to know a few things before considering this venue. We were told one price at contract…read moresigning, then when it came time for the final payment I noticed that it seemed high. They had raised their prices and also charged me for things that were not supposed to be there. It was a LOT of money. They made me send them a copy of the pamphlet that they gave us during our first meeting to prove the price difference! This is so unprofessional. Also, coordinators were young and must have been trained to say, "of course" and "absolutely". That's fine, but after a while, I just want things done as we discussed. Ours (Harper) left the company a few weeks before the wedding, and when I requested a face to face meeting with the new one that we had never met, she said that they normally don't do that, but she would. Um yes. And even though we went through details with her(Mia), there were things that were missed. We specifically asked for no champagne toast, yet flutes were on the tables and they started pouring at 2 tables before I caught them. There were other things, like a non working fridge in the get ready bridal area (so warm drinks), food that was already out when we arrived with flies landing on it, the wrong cross rented from Serendipity, when we specifically asked for the thicker/more substantial one, plastic black hangers left on two of our floral arrangements lining the ceremony aisle (Fiori Florals) and a cake that was NOTHING like we selected. It was on a black stand when we selected gold, we paid $60 extra for pearls and there were maybe 12 on the whole cake, the gold icing was yellow/brown, and it tasted and looked nothing like what we originally ate and chose. To top it off, it was dry and crumbly. We ended up giving it to our hotel staff. Mia did not seem prepared to run a wedding. She sent the MOB down the aisle with an usher walking back, so they had to move to the side. There were good things about the venue, but just be prepared for many things to go wrong. I had every checklist in the world, and it still wasn't enough.

My cousin just had his…read morewedding there a few days ago and I have never felt more disrespected by this venue's manager/planner/owner, whomever she is! When my father and I arrived a half-hour early, we found the door locked as it started to pour rain and thunder and lightning. The rest of the family was already inside setting up and getting ready. This so-called venue manager or whomever was in charge finally saw us standing outside and opened the door and rudely asked with an attitude, "Are you family?" What kind of a question, IS THAT? Also, why in the hell would you lock the outer doors of a wedding venue that is currently occupied? That is a fire hazard! Also, if you have posted business hours, you are not allowed to lock the doors, regardless of whether its by appointment only or not. I was half expecting her to be a gracious hostess and say, "Hello, welcome, are you here for the wedding? Please come in." INSTEAD, before I can respond, she continues to say, "We don't let guests in before the start time, only family." Of course I reply politely as I can that we are family. My father and I were the only two members of my aunt's side of the family attending this wedding. Everyone else that was attending was the bride's family members who came all the way from India, Canada and other parts of the world, and my Uncle's family members who were all local plus family friends. They only had 9 tables and not everyone even came. I'm actually very glad that my mother, who is wheelchair-bound, could not attend because this building is not ADA compliant by law. She wouldn't have been able to use the bathroom or enjoy the patios without someone helping her up and down. When we got inside and greeted our family, I could clearly see that this wedding was not going to be starting right at 5:30. (I even had offered when we arrived to help put out the name cards for the tables on the guestbook table for them so they could focus on the food and the bar, and I was immediately dismissed with the rudest attitude from this manager.) They claimed it was because of the rain and that they were going to have the blessing outside and were trying to wait for it to pass, but by 5:30, they hadn't even bothered to open up the bar or put out hor d'oeuvres. They didn't even have coffee made, and we couldn't even get a soda, they just had water and tea ready. It wasn't until 6 or so that my cousin finally walked over to the bar, told the bartender he was the groom and wanted the bar opened because people were stuck standing around the staff scrambled to finish setting things up they should have been brought out at 5:25 PM. My cousin told me that because they didn't open the bar on time, they didn't use their money's worth of alcohol. People were coming to this blessing/reception for an already married couple, expecting some sort of food for them to much on right away, and it wasn't served until nearly 7 PM. it was nearly 8 PM by the time I got my food. The salmon was so dry and overcooked and was cold because of their delay. The staff was also rushing around trying to move things along once it got going. They brought out COLD PIZZA at 10 PM that should have been brought out way earlier. They didn't cut the cake until after everyone was done eating. It should have been cut up while everyone was being served their plated dinners. As someone who has worked in the customer/food service/retail/restaurant industries for the last 20+ years, I WOULD NEVER EVER run my own business like this, treat my clients' guests horribly. I always LOVE it when I work and it's clear I'm struggling and my customers or regulars immediately ask to help. I have never seen so much disorganization from a venue since my own wedding at a completely different venue in another county in Ohio five and a half years ago. Don't use this venue, clearly others have had the same issue with the professionalism and speediness of this staff.
