Although the hotel isn't "technically " a five star hotel, in its class I would give it 5 stars. Clean, friendly staff and convenient. We have stayed here on several occasions now for business and will continue to use this hotel and brand. read more

Very friendly & helpful staff. Our room was clean. Comfortable bed & comfortable pillows!! Separation of the room and little office/front room was very nice to have to relax and watch tv on the couch. The pull out bed on the couch was nice. Everything was nice, orderly & clean. The pool area was stocked with towels. The pool was never cold instead amazingly lukewarm the whole time! My family and I had an amazing time and can't wait to come back to this hotel! read more

CLEAN!! as soon as we walked into the lobby my toddler said "smells good in here", and it did, it smelled clean and fresh. the front desk agent was very professional and friendly. when we got to our room it was crisp and cold but felt great since it was 96 degrees. Bathroom smelled like it had just been cleaned too. we immediately went to the pool which had clean chairs, tables and no yucky residue on concrete. The manger came out later in the afternoon to restock towels. it was a great place to stay while visiting family. the breakfast has a lot of options with waffles, fruit, eggs, sausage and lots of pastries, great for my picky eaters and delicious coffee. will be staying here again. also a plus was sound I faced the freeway and heard zero car noise. A+ for a Fairfield Inn. read more

I gave it 5 stars not because it's a 5 star hotel, but because as Fairfield Inns rate and based on the location, they deserve it. Didn't use the pool, but it looked nice. Their gym has 2 LifeFitness treadmills and 1 elliptical--- that's it. I was upgraded to a suite which was very nice. Bed was very comfortable. This hotel has the fastest internet of any hotel I've stayed at in recent months. When you travel a lot and depend on bandwidth for downloading files and replications, this becomes very important. Breakfast was very nice---- many different breads, cereals, fruit, fruit cups, Jimmy Dean sandwiches, waffles, oatmeal and a hot dish, sometimes scrambled eggs and sausage and sometimes biscuits and gravy. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I also appreciate the walk in shower in the suite. read more

Clean, full breakfast. They allowed us to move rooms due to noisy people by the pool at 9 pm. Suggestion to Marriott: Provide bins to recycle plastic. If not all plastic items, at least start with all the plastic cups that go into the trash from breakfast. Let's not add to the plastic islands floating in our oceans! read more

This is a great place to stay. I was recently in Turlock for work and stayed here a few nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Bathrooms and showers are pretty large, bigger than other hotels. This place offers continental breakfast, very decent selection of food. Eggs, oatmeal, cereal, bagels, bacon, sausage, waffles, milk, juice, fruit and much more. Another plus, this hotel is located in a strip mall type place with restuarants, retail, etc. Always nice when you are stranded in the middle of nowhere. read more

We stayed here with my kids and family, for a family gathering. The hotel accommodated a block of ten rooms for us and gave us a great rate. The pool was clean and the facilities well taken care of. Breakfast was great each morning and the wifi was awesome for the kids! The staff was wonderful, the rooms were COOL, clean and in order. On top of having a fridge and huge bathroom, we were able to reserve a suite which has a living space and bedroom. I would definitely stay here when we are back in the Central Valley or the Turlock area! MC read more

This hotel is very irritating, I called a day before to see if I can check in early at 10 am the next day and they said yes no problem! I came the next day the lady named Brittany made me wait 2 hours before getting a room!!! They said they had full house last night but outside I saw two cars in the parking lot!! Make any sense? No it doesn't. I said I'll pay extra and she said there was a full house. How can there be a full house when there's like no cars in the parking lot..... I had a wedding to go to and clearly didn't make it on time. read more

Got in a bind and needed to check in early and front desk girl went above and beyond to accommodate us. Hotel is VERY clean and up date. read more

Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Turlock - Room - Hotels Near Me - Turlock, California

This is the only hotel my buddies and I, stay at when we come to the Turlock swapmeet. The staff is friend on the phone and in person. The breakfast and coffee was good, and saved us some bucks for the swapmeet. I've been coming to this hotel for 5 years now and no complaints. Thank you read more

I found an excellent package deal on the hotels' website. I was extremely pleased with my stay! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was amazing and very clean! I loved the little separate living area in the room. Loved how they had Pantene shampoo in the room, too. Breakfast was superb... so many choices on what to eat! Breakfast area was nicely set up, as well. I will definitely stay here again!! read more

This is one of the worst Marriott Hotels I've ever stayed in we have a queen room with two queen beds and no bathtub only a shower if we wanted a bathtub we will have to get a king room who does that I have never heard of anything so crazy before in my life I will not be back ever again at this hotel read more

Well I pulled out he Sofia bed and there was blood all over the mattress ... so yeah won't go back ...

Stayed July 23-25-2017 Absolutely horrible: Ice dispenser broken on 2nd floor; jacuzzi not working; food , trash, cockroaches in pool area; tried the pool at night, and the pool was occupied by many many people that were loud and unruly, NOT conducive an evening swim. FIRE ALARM sounded at 10:30am repeatedly. Was it real? No one knew, then we were told "oh it's only a drill." Really?? Manager "in a meeting" that apparently lasted all day, because we were not contacted as requested. Night manager did not report for work. Breakfast was good I will NEVER stay here again read more

Whenever I have to stay in Turlock on business this is my first choice. On my last visit, I was especially impressed with the front desk associate, Brittney,. She always greets you with a big smile, dresses and acts very professionally. The rest of the staff is also excellent and this is the only hotel I consider staying at in Turlock. read more

Hello, we can thank Brittney on this one. I recommend the following to everyone. DO NOT go to this hotel. They have a serious HVAC issue. Central Valley is very hot and low to no AC is not acceptable. However, mistakes happen. It's a matter of willingness to do something about it to make it right. I didn't sleep all night due to the room being so hot. I'm very disappointed and am going upstairs with this one. I couldn't get the monetary portion of $85 refunded and now I feel I threw money away. I could've slept better in my car. The main point is, this is an establishment who doesn't take responsibility or accountability. There are other hotels nearby with working air conditioners. Go to those. Prices are comparable. Brittney should NOT be managing and I will take this as far as necessary with measures fully permitted by law. STAY AWAY from here. If you don't listen to me, after your stay you will wish you had based on the experience I know you will have. Good day! read more

Booked a room after last minute to stay in town. Arrived at 1 and was told checkin 3. No big deal have all information needed to book the room. Drive around town for 2 hours waiting for check in. Got back at 330pm and had to give all info again as it was a new gal on desk but went quick. Got up to room - tv was on and loud. And the toilet was running set our things down to find out bathroom was flooded. Tried to call front desk but was placed on hold so went down to lobby instead. Got a new room a few doors down and it was nice and clean. Fast forward to getting ready for bed to find this toilet was leaking too and bathroom floor flooded. Called desk and said they would send someone up. It was some time but he showed up. Said it was the tube inside tank or something it was fixed and we didn't have to move again so we were happy. Then this morning housekeeping came into room just after 8 to clean it and was upset we didn't put sign on door knob last night. Check out is noon why come into room after 8?? read more

Another great night stay with Marriott Hotels. Clean room, friendly staff. Not the biggest fan of the breakfast especially the coffee but then again my wife thinks I'm a coffee snob. I will continue to frequent this hotel chain during my travels. read more

Wow. I just stayed overnight, but it was so comfortable and had such handy amenities, that I could have stayed a week and been happy. Very nice, low key but helpful staff - perfect combination. Great breakfast. I loved this place! read more

I have to stay in Turlock regularly for business and this is one of the better choices in the area. The property is fairly new and very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They often ask if they can help with anything or say hello in the hallway. It's nice to be in such a friendly environment when away from home. read more

Clean modern facility. Friendly attentive staff. Very nice midrange rooms. Again, clean and modern, with very comfortable beds and nice furniture (fridge, microwave, TV). My bathroom had a nice tile floor with a large glass walkin shower with upscale faucets and shower head. The complementary breakfast was better than a lot of places, with waffles, eggs, fruit, and more. I'll come back. read more

I consider the Fairfield Inn in Turlock rather unprofessional when the head of house keeping ( Mayra Alvarez ) can't return multiple phone calls. This reflects on the Inn itself and would not recommend it not consider staying there. read more

I stayed here for one night only. No reservation, but it was the best stay i've had so far at a hotel! The front desk guy was very polite and definitely knows what he's doing. The room was very clean and bigger than what i'd expected. I slept extremely comfortable, and its located in a convenient area. Breakfast in the morning was perfect. I will most definitely stay here again when i come visit family! read more

Very nice place, newly built, very clean, quiet and safe. What more could you ask for, excellent breakfast buffet, nice pool area, huge living space. We were just in Turlock for a Softball tournament. The Fairfield Inn is very close to both of the sports parks in Turlock as well within walking distance to restaurants, shops and a drive thru Starbucks! We were very pleased with the accommodations, the friendly staff and the price. We would definitely return to the Fairfield if/when in Turlock again. read more

We were in town for a sports event. This hotel did not disappoint. They were so helpful with all our extra needs. It was a pleasant stay.

Kudos to employee Brittney for her excellent customer service! Today I needed to deal with the hotel by phone (on behalf of my employer, who used the hotel in October) and Brittney happened to be the one that answered the phone. She was pleasant to speak with AND she went out of her way to help fix an issue that we'd created, without any frustration or attitude. I truly appreciated working with her!! read more

I would first like to mention I have always stayed at Fairfield INN's near Sacramento, L.A, and Washington. Not to mention I'll be in L.A & Chicago later this year and YES there is only one place I will be paying to stay. In regards to the the Fairfield Inn & Suites near Turlock, California it deeply saddened me that we cannot stay there being my wife's company booked a room for us at a different hotel. This was done without our knowledge until today 1/27/15. My wife and I are not looking forward to the other hotel simply because the image, level of cleanliness , and professionalism you get with the Fairfield Inn by Marriott's have never been matched in our judgement. Without the knowledge of being booked at a different hotel we booked a room here, simply because if we pay there is only one MARRIOTT brand we want to stay with! During this time there was a small minor detail in the process of getting the reservation cancelled and reimbursed. When I spoke with Mary the Front desk manager she was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and one of the most customer service oriented manager's I've spoken too in quite some time. Having a high standard of customer service myself (our business is word of mouth, ) I do not issue this compliment out much. Not to mention get on yelp and explain to the public my experiences. For me to take the time out and give Mary praise for the work she did by listening, understanding, and quickly resolving the matter at hand, reminds me how my wife's Company made a mistake booking a different hotel. Not to mention Mary's supervisors need to read and hear about the incredible job she is doing representing the MARRIOTT FAMILY. I hope Mary & her supervisors read this review because Mary's actions again reminds me why I only want to pay for one brand The Marriott family. Thank you again for all your help Mary!!!!!! ;-) To Mary's general manager- I've briefly explained my experience & situation above to you and the world to see. I hope when you read this you give MARY a well deserved raise or a very extreme recognition award for her EXCELLENCE in customer service. I haven't experienced that level of professionalism in quite some time. This is a lost art these days and when I run into at the highest level possible It needs to be mentioned!!!! If you would like to speak to me more, or something better in writing I am very happy to do that as Mary's deserves all the recognition for her EXCELLENT JOB!!!! RF read more

This is a brand new hotel and I love it. I was told they had only been open 2 weeks when I checked in. I had stayed in the Holiday Inn Express next door the week before and wish I had come here sooner. The rates aren't particularly cheap, but the amenities are outstanding and I highly recommend staying here. Not only is all the staff friendly, helpful and exceeding all expectation on customer service, but the property is fresh, clean and perfectly located. There is even a drive-thru Starbucks right across the street and a Panera Bread within easy walking distance. I'm starting my third week here and have thoroughly enjoyed the great breakfast selection (their coffee is much better than typical hotel coffee), the workout room and guest laundry facility. The decor is bright and modern and just makes me happy being here. read more

I had to stay here for six weeks for work. The front desk staff were always very nice, helpful, and accommodating. The workout room just has a few treadmills and isn't much. Lots of places to eat around. I had a really good experience staying there. read more

AVOID this Hotel....My car was broken into the night we stayed there.....the staff said this happens a lot. We asked if they had security and they said yes....but.......The staff said they park there own cars in front so they can keep an eye on them. The police came out and said the same thing...it happens a lot. No one reported the problem/break in all night long and I discovered the break in myself the next morning when I went to pack the car. Management refused to deal with the problem. The manager refused to return my calls or to discuss the issue. He did not return 3 calls and 1 call to his assistant My car ended up having over $5,000.00 damage and they just blew me off AGAIN AVOID using this UNPROFESSIONAL HOTEL. read more

Did not honor reserved room for a party of 3 men as requested by 3rd party reservation site. Blaming the issue on 3rd party reservation company instead of making their guests comfortable. Did not offer an additional discount!!! Poor customer service with a " don't care attitude". Manager was trying to hide out to avoid any explanation. Shame on you Marriott!!!! We will never stay here again. read more

Beautiful hotel. It seems pretty new. Nice TV and Great bed. Everything was neat and clean and smelled great. The service was also great. If you're staying in and around Turlock of Modesto this place is great. Very close to the highway and all kinda of stores and restaurants and Cal State Stanislaus. read more

Clean rooms for a good price, what more can you ask for from a hotel in turlock. The breakfast is complimentary, so it is what it is, which is mediocre so I usually skip this. But if youre on a budget, it is edible. read more

This is a really nice hotel. The staff is friendly and this place is clean. Free breakfast with all kinds of things to choose from. There's a train that occasionally goes by but it didn't bother me at all. I slept well here. It's in a great, convenient location. I highly recommend. read more

Comfortable beds, helpful staff. We were here for a softball tournament and hotel was full due to a soccer tournament as well. Very busy with lots of families and despite that, we had a fairly quiet room. Room was clean and comfortable. Refrigerator in room was small and breakfast was minimal. Staff very friendly and accommodating. We had to be on the field before seven a.m. And staff came in early to have dry breakfast items out for us! Only downside was elevator broke Sunday morning .......Highly recommend! read more

We drove in to Modesto for a wedding and decided last minute to book a room instead of driving back. We didn't care for any if the options in Modesto so we decided to drive a bit further to Turlock. We found this Inn on yelp and it had great reviews. Customer service during our check in was friendly and efficient. Location was a plus right off the freeway (99) and close to shopping, diners and fast food. The establishment was clean. Our room was nice but the bed was very hard. It made it hard to sleep but that's a personal preference. The room came with coffee machine, microwave and fridge. The complimentary breakfast was nice with both hot and cold choices. We would definitely stay here again if we ever have to travel to Modesto again. read more

I was promised adjoining rooms over the phone and then told upon arrival that no adjoining rooms were available (she explained they WERE available when I called, but she accidentally gave them away). Then she promised rooms next door to one another, only to tell me after a lengthy wait in a lobby filled with unmasked people (due to covid, state guidelines mandate a mask) that she only had rooms on separate floors. I was trying to accommodate small children, which I explained when I had called hours earlier. I mentioned that she should tell the folks loitering in the lobby to put on masks and she refused, at which point the people in the lobby started heckling me, calling me "Karen" and yelling at me that I'm not welcome. The woman (Ariel) working the front desk refused to enforce the mask mandate and was completely incompetent in her position. I left feeling insulted and hurt, and without any lodging for my family after we had been driving for hours. Worst hotel experience of my life. read more

Really great hotel. Good location. The staff was friendly, courteous and attentive. The room was spacious and clean. I really had absolutely no problems and was very comfortable. I felt I got more than my money's worth out of staying here. The only tiny gripe I have is that there were way too many things that emit light in the room (the TVs [my room had two TVs], the stereo, the alarm clock, the microwave, and so on) that I had to unplug everything just so my room would be dark enough to sleep in. That's really minor, though. read more

Terrible you have many other choices do not stay at this hotel! The people at the front desk will lie to you just for fun and entertainment. The staff just smiles and says no and I don't know to any question- its sport to them. They think you are stupid and will treat you as such. Just a short recap: 1. Wrong room, hotel empty says don't have any other rooms. Just not true. 2. Says breakfast at 6:00 not ready at 6:45 3. Can find reward number, call to main Marriott number got number. Staff did not want to give credit for room. Just a bunch of clueless - mean folks. Go someplace else! read more
