Whole place smelled like mildew and weed smoke. Complained to the owner (or manager) and asked for at least a discount if not a full refund, and he told me I was more than welcome to stay elsewhere. I called Motel 6 Corporate the next day and let them know I didn't feel safe w/ the non functioning smoke detectors and black mold. They said they would talk to the manager and he would need to fully refund me no questions asked. The manager then called me and chewed me out for telling corporate on him. Park Inn by Radisson (CAL19) is the new name of the - Motel 6 - on Walnut Road in Turlock CA. Posted are pictures of the room i stayed in. Room 105 It's for disabled people like myself. After reviewing these pictures I posted, let me ask you this. Would you allow yourself or your elderly parents, or grandparent to stay in this room? I had no choice as it was the only one available that was downstairs and set up for handicapped needs. I quickly started taking some pictures of these rooms to document my experience. They had duck tape over the sprinkler head near the bed. Lord forbid a fire starts, the sprinkler would not be of any help before the firetruck arrives! The lady that checked me in, was under so much stress to which she admitted to me and said that she's ready to leave it and find something else to do. She was pleasant but her head wasn't really in her job, which one could clearly see. Actually all of the counter people were friendly and most were helpful. I honestly cannot say anything too bad about them, except this. Why on earth isn't the cleaning personal doing there jobs correctly? Secondly why isn't management over seeing the work? All I can end with is.. I sure hope that this new outfit that's bought our Motel 6 here in Turlock, does a thorough inspection of each room and order them to be deep cleaned. Bring in some contractors and plumbers to fix those issues and any electrical work that needs it too. A good onsite manager to over see all of the work being done and not rent out a single room until they are all finished. I love my hometown, but I'm very ashamed that this is going on in it. All I know is that Motel 6 just have gotten a new crew to do their housekeeping nod the rooms a and the cleanliness has improved 100 % ever since I got a room around end of October (last 10 days or so, that's wen I noticed the difference in the cleanup, and yes it's that obvious that whoever did it before, it's definitely not same people . I pay close attention to detail and would usually clean a room before I plan on using a room ,but not in this case with Motel 6, u can feel the comfort of the room more and gives it a lil better lighting when you see everything that's supposed to be clean in a room , it's actually clean, and not just the bare minimum, but more like above and beyond. read more

Do not stay here!! Roach infested and bed bugs. I woke up itchy with bites all over my arm and forehead. Then today my boyfriend said check my back and he got bit. We immediately start looking around the bed and we find a bedbug on the pillow case. I called the front office and the attendant was very rude and said I had to wait until 6 am to speak to a manager to see if I would get my money refunded and just hung up on me. However they're selection of contractor showed in someways to made the room look worse, by them not cleaning up after themselves. I don't understand why everyone is drinking all the "haterade" about this motel. I stayed here, and was very comfortable. Got a great rate, about $44 with my military discount. Regular rate is about $5 more, and they also have an AARP discount. It looks like the motel has been remodeled, because my room had fresh paint, hardwood floors, a newer bed, and a flat screen TV on the wall. Bathroom was small, but spotless. The bathroom has a shower instead of a tub, but no biggie. Bed was very comfortable. My room was away from the freeway, so other than a little bit of car noise from the parking lot, I had no problems whatsoever. Didn't use the Wi Fi, because they charge an extra $3 for it, unless you are an AARP member. So, I don't know how fast the Wi Fi is. The motel has a small pool, which was clean, and also a small laundry room. I don't know how many "permanent residents" the motel has, but I did not have a problem with any of them. As for restaurants, there's a Mc Donalds, a Sonic, and a Carl's Junior nearby for fast food. The motel is right next door to the Hot Rod diner, but it is only open for breakfast and lunch. (Which is good, because the motel doesn't offer breakfast.) For dinner, I highly recommend Mundo's Latin Gril in town. I checked in on president's day because my semi broke my company made my reservations online they had booked a room without a microwave or refrigerator the owner was kind enough to fix error and get me a different room,also I had left my phone charger in the truck the owner gave me his I ended up staying three days before departing I enjoyed my stay,also I missed my lyft and the owner let me occupy the room after eleven am until my company found me another ride it turns out it was the same driver who had driven me there he did not let the staff or myself know he was there he informed me if no one shows up in eight minutes they are dispatched on another pick up it turns out he had my number the whole time,because when he originally picked me up he went the wrong location,so he called me,but it all worked out.thank you motel six.robert read more

Omg where to begin with this place.. it's absolutely disgusting! Reeks of smoke. Filthy doesn't even begin to cover it. Literally roaches crawling on the walls and across the floors. No parking. Guests look more like residents. Dog feces in parking spots. Sketchy walking through the parking lot in general considering people are actually partying in entire groups and people are staring you down. Stains on the walls of who knows what... and then refused to give a refund. Rooms look nothing like their photos. When I decided to say screw the refund chalk it up as a loss and leave the manager was so rude it was shocking. I have never had a more unpleasant experience at a motel 6 in my life. This Motel 6 in Turlock, ca. Just off the 99 south, west main exit. Shoot I haven't came across a more kinder more nicer manager on duty at any other motel in a very long time. These 2 are A+ to me. The room smelled of mild disinfectant and was reasonably clean except the floor which looked liked it hadn't seen any cleaning in years. But by the first morning cockroaches started showing up mostly in the bathroom but then in the main living area. The noise from the freeway is loud and add that to the nightly drag racing down the street you'll never sleep. Also a homeless guy was sleeping in the dumpster just by the carpark. Someone power washed the ac units and left a pool of water inside the room the manager cleaned it up with an old t-shirt and basically just spread the water around. There was no fire detector in the room which is illegal and no light bulbs in the main room just the bed side lights worked. I've reached out to Motel 6 to complain but have been ignored so don't expect any help from them. Poor customer service. read more

I don't recall the house cleaners names, however after a multi night stay with them I have no complaints which means they do it all right. The managers, Ken and his wife Raj went so much above and beyond for me at a bad time in my life. I've never had anyone GIVE me a suitcase, bath basics and the best advice I've known. These folks care about the well-being of their guests. That in itself deserves the "Ritz-Carlton" of reviews. When my son and I arrived in 1st room (no smoking), it reeked of weed smoke. Asked for different room and the front desk guy took us to 3 other rooms that all smelled bad in their own way. We ended up choosing the room that smelled the least (see picks of it), but it was still ver ver terrible. I used to think me and my older son (14 yrs old) could stay anywhere as men toughing it out. This place changed my mind entirely. Phone line was cut so we couldn't call front without cell phone. Place was filthy and didn't dare take a shower there. Toilet tank top completely broke (see pics). Floors filthy along with bathroom and walls filthy. They offered our money back but it was too late. My son made the comment, "well what do you expect? It's a motel 6". I agreed and decided to not post a complaining review, but they crossed the line. I confirmed with front desk my late check out of 1130. Both cleaning staff came by my room asking if I would be checking out? Then manager knocked on my room door then entered without our permission asking if we would be checking out. This is without a doubt the worst hotel motel that I've stayed in in my life. The place is extremely dirty to the point of you may even catch a disease. There was a cockroach and it does not look like it has been cleaned in a very long time. There are no baseboards it has old blankets and mattresses and the management completely hides behind Covid. Covid is real but it is also an excuse for poorly managed companies to not provide the services they charge for. This was a complete waste of the $90 per night and if you want to save yourself from catching a disease or who knows what else you should get a tent and go park under the freeway with the transients you would probably have a better chance of survival. Motel 6 is a place to stay , It is under new management and what a difference it has made. The new manager is very friendly when he is at the front desk he will do whatever it takes to help you and that makes a big difference in a business. When you check in they are fast and very kind any information you need they will do what they can to help you. Eric is at the front desk and I would have to give him a (10 ) he is very friendly he will greet you when you walk in the door and get you check in under 3'mins. All of the employees are friendly and the maids are wonderful they clean the rooms very well. So if you need a place to stay As they say ( We will leave the light on ) and let me tell you the parking lot is so bright now and I feel more comfortable knowing our vehicles are safe. I agree with Alan that folks maybe smoking or drinking some "haterade". I booked an extended stay here for work after a horrible stay earlier at a motel in Livingston, a town nearby. The price is cheaper than most in the area, including other Motel 6... price increase on weekends. I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist, Joanne, who was willing to give me the keys to go check out 2 different room, w/o fridge and microwave. They are very clean and bright with wooden floor and other things are to some standard, unlike the other home made motel. Clean towels and sheets. There's a clean pool with fence but it's winter now so I'll skip. Again, for the price, don't expect Hilton standard, folks. It's good in my book. Did Alan mentioned military discount? Don't waste your money like I wasted mine this is a run down motel it is shitty. taking a shower you don't wanna even touch anything the shower curtain was falling off and it was so dirty inside. The toilet inside was dirty and I found baby cockroaches. Now seeing cockroaches I can't even sleep I only slept four hours and left at Don. I got into room just before 1:00 A.M. as I'm getting settled in for the night the smoke alarm starts to chirp. I called the front desk to see if they could replace the battery & the clerk told me there was nothing she could do but if I wanted I could come down to the office & get a battery & change it myself. My room faced the freeway so I could hear was traffic from the freeway all night. Around 3:30 A.M. another occupant must have checked in cause their child was allowed to run up & down the hall screaming. This motel is by far the worst I've ever been to. Standards aren't high when you book a motel 6, but i warn you, do NOT book here. The rooms were filthy, dead roaches on the bathroom floors, toilets were not attached to the ground. The walls were also stained and sheets covered in black ash. Its got a pool but its overrun with tweakers and kids. No thank you. Bed is nice but the heat ruined everything. Another room was not any better and could not change to a different hotel as my company booked this one and they will be charged the full amount. Stay away unless you like the heat. I have never used this term before, but this hotel is "sketchy". There are disabled or abandoned cars parked outside the rooms. The rooms smelled of stale smoke. The beds felt broken down or had depressions in the mattresses. We checked in at 9pm and the AC was working. Went to the swimming pool and came back, the AC was blowing hot air. Went to sleep and work up to a incredibly hot room. Told the management about the non working AC the next morning. Asked for a compensation, they said no. In Southern CA, not having AC is hardly better than sleeping in your car. Not worth saving a few dollars. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else. read more

If you're looking for a terrible room for the night look no further. Equipped with minimal amenities, a bed that very likely glows under blacklight, a tv, and towels that are an upgrade from the rags auto shops use. If you want a microwave, safe, or even a fridge you have came to the wrong hotel. Just off the freeway, no joke a chain link fence separates the hotel and shoulder of the freeway on ramp. You get the joy of hearing the roar of traffic as you sleep. There are a few restaurants, convenience stores, and a bar within walking distance. But why leave the hotel when there are prostitutes and drug dealers for all your entertainment needs. They spared no expense for security with only a handful of cameras covering mostly the front desk and the immediate area around the front desk. And plenty of law enforcement officers patrolling the area ready to harrass you. Maintenance was minimal as I walked out to my car to find that a tree had come within 10 feet of crushing my car. The tree stayed where it fell for 2 days and still there at the time of leaving. Staffed with the highest quality employees they will outright ignore any requests made. I made multiple requests for extra towels and was better off going to a store nearby and buying a towel. If you want WiFi be ready to pay for it. At a minimum of $3 a day per device. The only redemption it has is they allow pets, it's cheap, and there's a Planet Fitness on the other side of the freeway from the hotel read more

We had a emergency and we we're stuck in Turlock we we ended up staying at motel 6 and the staff was amazing especially danella and the front desk lady sorry forgot her name but the pool was clean the pool area was also very clean. I was so embarrassed when they called and said that the family member returned to her room and housekeeping went through her things in the room. When she complained she was called a liar and asked her to leave. When I called and spoke to the manager, she didn't deny anything. She just didn't care.
