It was clean, had a good breakfast, friendly staff (Stacy and Aaron were very nice people), with a great location close to the I-75! The per fee was a reasonable $20/pet/night. The location has lots of restaurants and gas stations nearby. There is a Cracker Barrel that is open until 11pm if you arrive late and a Starbucks that opens at 430am if you need to leave early. This was our first stay here ... but it won't be our last!

The front desk woman was very kind and had already given us an upgraded room as Platinum members without us asking. The room was nice though some of the public areas are showing a bit of wear for a newer hotel. One note the layout of the hotel is a bit odd and confusing. Finding the elevator was a puzzle. It was nice to have a shower though the sink faucet had almost no water pressure Ridiculous. The breakfast was less than the average FI breakfast. Though it was not very busy many of the items were wiped out. Location north of Lexington is near major highways.

The 2 queen bed suite was spacious. I really appreciated the microwave and fridge being available in the room. The beds were just okay. I was looking forward to a restful nights sleep but the bed wasn't that comfortable to me. The sofa was noisy and definitely needs to be replaced. I hate all hotel HVAC systems. It's either extremely cold or extremely hot. I woke up stuffy. This was my first stay at a home2suites. I liked the location , free parking and complimentary breakfast .

However, what a find!! The hotel is clean and looks pretty new. It's a little off the main road, however there is a lot in the area. There is parking both in front and behind the building. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance such as Chipotle, a Cuban restaurant, an Indian restaurant, and many others. There are also many stores nearby for shopping (Trader Joe's, Kroger) and also entertainment (bowling and Malibu Jack's). I think I've found my new Lexington Hotel despite the longer drive to my work.

The room is a compact version of a Holiday Inn Express. There is little room to move around. I did not see a coffee maker in the room. The drain in the shower is in the middle thus soapy water runs where you are standing making the surface slippery. The hotel is not located on the main road and does not have easy to spot signage so plug into a GPS.

The room is comparative to a Courtyard Marriott I stayed at in Owensboro, KY. King bed room I reserved, but a suite. The only problems I had found was the accessibility of the bed from both sides, the left (nearest to the door) and near the window, one can barely squeeze in by the wall and then around and then jump on the bed that way. They compromise on the walk space of the bed because everything else takes up room. This was in room 304 I think. Also, I can agree with the comment stating that are little to no outlets in the room. I had to use two of the black colored outlets near the t.v. to connect my phone charger and laptop. The shower looks nice, BUT some of the glass door is attached and so when one enters, one has to foot the cold water before it becomes warm. I HATE THIS SETUP! I see the idea though. Keep a space that one can walk into and out of the shower all the way to the end, BUT put the shower a little further back so the folding extension keeps the splash in. The breakfast had hot foods like waffles and then the eggs (which were very light, almost dissolve in the mouth). They also had sausages. I loved how they use corral (sp?) cups and glasses in the rooms instead of paper styrofoam cups. I had a unique issue where I booked multiple nights separately and asked them to check me out in the morning and I had to check back in again, today. I thought they would have taken my belongings and put them somewhere, but they did not even touch them. Phew! 4/19 They will swap out some of the hot foods at breakfast. Hashbrowns and bacon for the sausages and waffles. 4/20 All concerns were addressed today. The two queen bed room has more outlets (well, they made there be more outlets through an attachment. The beds had enough space to be accessed from both sides. The tub shower is an option with this room. This was in room 505 I think. I had to switch because of my multiple bookings. I checked into another room today evening, room 525, and this room addressed my concern in making a king bed accessible from both sides. I am not sure if they were so booked up that they ended up giving me a wheelchair accessible room, but hey...maybe all king bed rooms should follow this standard! Breakfast had french toast sticks swapped for the hashbrowns. 4/21 The only problem I found with the wheelchair accessible room I was given was that the water only gets to lukewarm. I was shivering every time I got out. Breakfast had bacon and seasoned potato slices swapped for the sausages and French toast sticks from the day before. All in all, I thought the HYATT experience was consistent. They seem to give a look of an upscale hotel chain, but they also follow through (offer a breakfast that includes both hot and cold options....FINALLY a place that gives milk with cereal!). The only amenity I did not see across all three rooms I stayed in was a lack of a microwave.

The air conditioner ran constantly and the room has an odd divider that caused the air to get "stuck" in the bedroom portion of the room, so the bed would be freezing and the couch area was warm. The couch was not the same as the listing photos. Shower has a weird/odd half door so super easy to get the floor soaking wet after a shower if you're not careful. Breakfast was super disappointing.

The hotel name is actually Home Place Inn, and there is not a lit sign in front of the hotel. It is not been a Super Eight for least six years. The reception area is fairly small. The check-in lady was very pleasant and explained the usual things. The breakfast area is in the small lobby, so I imagine many people carry their food to their rooms which inevitably leads to some spills on the stairwell and on the room carpeting. The hotel itself is about 30 years old, but many of the rooms, but not all, have been refurbished. My bathroom appeared to be a few years old, but much better than expected from the new tub, fresh paint job on the walls, and a new hairdryer on the wall. The linens are clean and in good shape, but the bedspread left a little to be desired. The hotel was mostly full this Friday night, and it was quiet. The rooms were not soundproof. The building was in very good shape with entrances only through either end of the hotel and the main lobby via keyed entrances. The breakfast itself was disappointing. There is really nothing besides coffee and some bagels - no juice, no cereal, no donuts, no fruit. No frills, but walking distance from shopping and places to get some food. There is a mixture of smoking and non-smoking rooms, so there is a slight smoke smell in the hallways. A place to rest for low cost, nothing more.

It has lots of comfortable seating with a couch, lounge chair, padded office chair and two bar stools at a big kitchen peninsula. There is a free laundry with 5 sets of washers and dryers. No eating facilities like a dining room downstairs. I guess they want you to cook in your room. The only negative is the room cleaning schedule. I asked twice if the bathroom could be cleaned and resupplied and the trash emptied. I was told that this is an extended stay hotel and they only clean rooms once a week for extended guests. The third time I asked, Adriana was at the desk and said, "If I can't schedule it today, I will do it myself". When we came back from breakfast it was done. If you are on an extended business trip, or your house burned down, you could live here very comfortably. This hotel is a solid 4. I only give 5 to world class hotels.
