He let us know approximately when they would start and how long it would take. They called the day before to keep us updated. They started early and stayed until it was completed. They did an amazing job!! We had just had some landscaping done in our front yard which surrounded an old oak that had lost a huge limb. We needed the tree taken down as it was hollow. Tre, (who was the foreman for our job) and his crew did an amazing job as well as we're meticulous about the new landscaped area. We were just in awe of how Tre's team could drop huge limbs from a tree without injury to the surrounding lawn. Our neighbors even commented on how clean the lawn looked! They took 6 pine trees down for us and ground them down to a point that unless you knew there were trees there, you would not know anything was removed. Also, we had a very small magnolia tree next to one of the pines and they expertly were able to keep it. We also had a beach gum tree nestled next to a cedar. Called again and managed to speak with the arborist and scheduled an appointment for the following Monday at 10:30. The appointment time came and went with no contact. Called again and receptionist tried to contact arborist by phone with no luck. Another call to the receptionist nearly an hour later and she said arborist wasn't answering his phone or calling the office. Told her to forget it as I no longer wished to do business with the company. The following morning the arborist called me, muttered an excuse that it had been raining the day before and asked if I wanted to reschedule. I guess his phone must not work when it's raining, huh? I advised him that I no longer was considering him for the job. Southern Grind Stump And Tree Removal came out to put eyes on the scope of the work and sent us a quote within 24 hours of us contacting them. The owner was professional and courteous. We did our due diligence and also got quotes from other local companies but in the end we chose to use Southern Grind Stump And Tree Removal because of their professionalism and fair pricing. Because the rain had them backed up (and my yard is a slippery hill), we were scheduled 2 weeks out to have the work done. They kept in contact with me during that time frame to let me know we were still on schedule for that date. On the day they removed the tree they arrived promptly and got to work immediately. I was expecting 1 or 2 trucks but they came with a whole fleet of vehicles, workers, tools and equipment. The job was done thoroughly and without further damage to my fence.
