On the day of the procedure I was super anxious but the procedure itself was not bad. Dr. Elnakka did it do seamlessly I did not feel anything. As long as you follow post care instructions it's really easier than how it sounds. Front desk staff and other assistants were really fantastic. They are always on top everything and super nice. He immediately turned around, looked directly at me, and then resumed checking out another patient without acknowledging my presence--neither with a "good morning" nor a simple "I'll be right with you." Standing beside the patient was a new Dental Hygienist, who I later learned would be performing my cleaning. She had the presence of mind to acknowledge me, saying, "Sir, he'll be right with you once he finishes checking out this patient." I appreciated being acknowledged and felt seen. After I continued waiting patiently at the front desk, the receptionist completed the transaction with the other patient and turned to ask for my name. Once I confirmed it, he simply said, "You can go sit down." I asked, "I'm checked in?" seeking clarification. Not long after I checked in, a female patient entered, and he greeted her warmly, asked for her name, and told her politely, "Thanks! I have you all checked in." I was later escorted to the back by the new Dental Hygienist, who was extremely friendly and professional. She even took the initiative to confirm that I had taken the antibiotics typically required before my procedures--an indication of genuine concern. This made me feel that she truly had my best interests at heart and was providing excellent customer service. She further demonstrated professionalism by deferring to the doctor, who also came in to speak with me about the matter. One of the factors that influences whether I return to an establishment is the level of customer service--either based on reviews I've read or my own past experiences. Unfortunately, this particular visit felt mediocre overall. The customer service at the front desk/reception area could be improved by ensuring all patients are acknowledged and treated with the same level of courtesy and professionalism. That said, I commend the Dental Hygienist and the treating doctor for their attentiveness, professionalism, and respectful treatment. Should I choose to return, I hope that the front desk staff will consistently demonstrate a courteous and welcoming demeanor toward all patients--not just a select few.

I have been in customer service and sales for many years and that first impression is everything. I hate entering an establishment and people look and act like you're just another number or that you're a bother. You won't feel that way here. Next, I was escorted to a beautiful meeting room. That was unexpected. I was wondering, hmmm, why. Then I was greeted by Alexis (who was awesome) she simply asked me to tell her about myself so she could get to know me better. Whaaat?!! How awesome is that? I felt like a VIP at a dental office...Nice!! Then Dr. Datta arrived after her and literally asked to get to know me as well and wanted to know what my ultimate goal and expectations were with my smile and dental care. I mean, omg! I have never had an experience like this in my lifetime. Dr. Datta Immediately made me feel comfortable. Thank you Dr. Datta. Lastly, Sarah was responsible for my cleaning and explained everything she was doing, step by step. She even introduced me to some of their state-of-the-art imaging equipment. Sarah was amazing and friendly and kind. Without a doubt, I am certain that I have found my dental care home. Dr Hawa and his team were very patient with all my questions and concerns while they went to work filling cavities, replacing and adding crowns, getting molds, prepping my teeth and preparing and placing veneers on my upper teeth. Trays were made to whiten and maintain my lower teeth. And a night guard was made for me to wear as obviously I grind and clinch my teeth at night. I now have the most beautiful smile that I never imagined was possible. Dr Hawa is a very caring professional as is his whole team. I feel like part of their extended family. Not only that but he is very reasonably priced and works with you on affordable payment plans. I have most definitely found my new dentist. He is a gem and I recommend him to all my friends. Their cost for the work was 1/2 what I was quoted somewhere else, and what I ended up finding in that Dr Phan is one of the best root canal experts in the DC area, the process was virtually painless and he took his time and did a great job. The three crowns I eventually got were a perfect fit the first time and never needed attention later--like I hear from other places. Due to years of sub-par dental care, I needed a lot of work. I am now just on maintenance having had three crowns and two root canals. What is best about this office is the level of professionalism and skill that Dr Abel and Dr Phan practice. I would consider them top DC doctors in the AAA rating, yet their prices are the most likely to beat other clinics nearby and do not break my HSA account. This important to us since our co-pays are so high. I can't believe I have a win/win situation with top and advanced care while at the same time not feeling like I pay too much. The office and the equipment is modern and computerized. The staff is extremely friendly, professional, and will work with you on just about anything like rescheduling, payments, etc. One thing that you will not hear much about is that both Doctors do a lot of work for the poor and disadvantaged in terms of medical missions and roadside clinics.
